Ansh was investigating Mazegaon Dock.
The dock had returned to work as usual, with ships moving in and out of the massive harbor while workers continued their daily routines as though nothing unusual had ever happened.
The dock was known for building different types of vessels, including cargo ships and ferries.
It also handled ship maintenance and repairs, with vessels requiring major work being taken into dry dock so workers could inspect their hulls and carry out necessary repairs.
The entire area was controlled by several companies operating within the dock.
But unofficially, everyone knew there was another place that held far more influence: the cargo loading and unloading area.
That was where the incident had occurred, and it was also where Fisherman Anna had risen to power and become the unofficial ruler of Mazegaon Dock.
But his rise had come at a terrible cost.
He had lost his son in the process.
Ansh stood on a newly constructed road inside the cargo area, his eyes slowly moving across the surroundings.
Massive cranes stood above the containers while workers moved in the distance, loading and unloading cargo, but Ansh wasn’t interested in any of them.
His attention remained fixed on the road.
Parts of the containers, cranes, and even sections of the road itself had been cut cleanly.
The damage was so precise that it looked as though someone had sliced through solid metal and concrete with a knife, as easily as slicing butter.
Ansh narrowed his eyes.
“What the hell happened here?”
He looked around while thinking to himself.
This looks worse than the photos they sent.
We knew Fisherman Anna did it, but we didn’t find a single clue.
It’s like the sea swallowed it.
He stopped in front of a container that had been cut vertically and opened completely.
Its other half lay on the ground beside it, revealing scraps of electronics scattered across the floor.
Customs didn’t find out who ordered it.
This whole dock’s cargo area is the biggest supplier of illegal goods, but still, for God’s sake, they don’t let us take any kind of action.
Ansh continued walking through the containers while other police officers and forensic lab members searched the area.
Then he noticed something in the shadows beneath a fallen crane.
He carefully approached it.
With his ash-grey eyes, he spotted a neon-blue fish struggling inside a small puddle of water.
Someone else noticed it as well and walked over to investigate.
A woman in her late thirties stared at the creature as if she were looking at something otherworldly.
The fish was desperately struggling for breath in the shallow puddle.
“What’s this?” she said in awe.
Ansh’s brow furrowed as he watched the fish suddenly thrash with unnatural desperation.
A wave of panic spread through his nervous system.
“Everyone, get back!” he commanded.
The officers and forensic workers immediately began creating distance, but they barely had time to react.
The neon-blue, transparent fish suddenly exploded, unleashing a violent blast that sent several men and women flying backward.
Some crashed into containers, while others fell onto containers that had been cut apart during the original incident.
Several people were killed instantly, while others lost limbs from the razor-sharp wreckage.
But the blue-colored energy blast wasn’t the only thing the fish released.
It also unleashed vertical and horizontal neon-blue slashes that sliced through the road and everyone unfortunate enough to be caught nearby, including the woman in her late thirties.
Chaos erupted throughout the cargo area as people rushed to help the injured.
Ansh, who had been thrown onto a random container, struggled to get up before collapsing unconscious.
The incident soon became the headline on local news channels.
Chandra texted Vikram.
“Did you see that?”
Vikram replied.
“Yeah.
A bomb blast happened, but I’m sleeping.
I’m too tired.”
“Then sleep, idiot.
Why are you looking at your phone?”
Vikram yawned while lying on his bed.
“MF,” he muttered before typing back with half-lidded eyes.
“Because I’m not able to sleep.”
Chandra stared at his message before typing nonstop.
“You dork, idiot!
Put that phone down, then you’ll be able to sleep, you moron!”
Chandra threw his own phone onto the bed and tried to calm himself.
Vikram eventually put his phone aside and truly fell asleep this time, while Power was also sleeping in Mayasabha in her room, whose floor and ceiling were made of pink clouds while the walls were white with golden designs.
The night was long, but since Chandra was a night owl, he was the only one still functioning on so little sleep.
Meanwhile, Vaijanti opened a door in her room, which was made of wood and vines beneath a waterfall.
Her chamber looked like an entire jungle, filled with mountains, vines, forest animals, and an open sky.
She stepped through the door and entered another part of the chamber, where massive trees and snow surrounded the area.
In front of her was a hot spring, and beside it stood a Japanese-style shrine.
It was her bathroom.
Even though it looked like an open outdoor area, it was actually another part of her room conjured using Mayasabha.
“My muscles are feeling rather stiff, anyway,” she said as she prepared to enter the hot spring.
As she settled into the warm water, she sighed in relief.
But she was startled when someone suddenly knocked on her door.
“Ahhh, who could that possibly be?”
A woman wearing yellow-and-green royal attire stepped inside.
It was Anamika.
“I thought I might graciously join you,” she said with a polite smile.
Her hair was neatly combed and held together with a hairpin.
She loosened it, placed her attire beside Vaijanti’s, and stepped into the hot spring.
“Ah, I have always envied your chamber for precisely this reason.”
Vaijanti relaxed and leaned back.
“You may come whenever you please, you know.
Though, as I recall, you scarcely require an invitation, Anamika.”
“How gracious of you.”
Vaijanti looked beside her at the woman who had just spoken.
It was another Heavenly Queen bathing beside Vaijanti and Anamika.
Her eyes were large and yellow, matching her long hair.
It was Ashani.
No one had sensed or noticed when she stepped in.
That was simply how swift Ashani was.
Anamika sighed.
“Your haste remains quite remarkable, as ever.
Must you always arrive with such absurd speed?”
Ashani looked at her with mock sweetness.
“Who, I?
Surely not.
I merely possess an admirable degree of efficiency.”
Vaijanti chuckled.
“Add some tea to this gathering, and it shall resemble a rather delightful little tea party.”
The three of them laughed.
They relaxed in the hot spring for a while.
Anamika eventually noticed that Ashani and Vaijanti were staring at her, so she tilted her head with a smile.
“Why do you gaze at me so intently, Vaijanti?
Your posterior is quite ample as well, much like your chest.”
Vaijanti frowned. Get faster updates on novelping.com.
“Pray, what?”
Ashani simply burst out laughing.
Anamika moved closer to her and patted her head, making Ashani look at her with a puzzled expression.
“Oh, you poor little thing.
What could possibly be so amusing?
Your modest B-cup hardly gives you cause for such laughter.”
Ashani gasped.
“How utterly ungracious of you!”
She playfully lunged at Anamika.
“Wait, you cannot possibly mean to—”
Vaijanti immediately joined them.
They began playing in the bath like children, completely abandoning whatever dignity the gathering had possessed moments earlier.
“Well, I have you now, Anamika!” Vaijanti said playfully as she put Anamika in a chokehold while Ashani tickled her belly.
Anamika burst into laughter.
“Wait…
wait!
I concede!
I concede!” she said between laughs.
Ashani and Vaijanti finally let her go.
They got out of the bath and wrapped themselves in towels while drying their hair.
“I feel positively rejuvenated.
Might we have some tea?” Ashani asked.
Anamika and Vaijanti looked at her.
“I am entirely in favour,” Anamika said.
Vaijanti nodded in agreement.
“As am I.”
They left the bathroom and went to have some tea.
Meanwhile, Petrol Pump Road was quiet during the night.
Evidence of the battle between Khais and Vikram from the previous night still remained scattered across the road, where Vikram had defeated Khais.
A car slowly drove down the road.
The person driving it was alone and appeared to be a middle-aged man.
The next morning, Vikram’s phone buzzed nonstop in the early hours.
He woke up irritated and picked up the call, but when he saw the name on the screen, he realized it was Chandra.
“What happened?
Why are you calling this early in the morning?
I was having a really good dream.”
Chandra was standing in a crowd, staring at the dead body of a middle-aged man.
His voice was chilling and horrified when he replied.
“Khais hasn’t vanished.
It’s still on the loose.”
Vikram’s irritation instantly disappeared.
His expression shifted into utter disbelief as he remembered seeing Khais vanish with his own eyes.
He couldn’t understand how it could still be alive.
“Are you certain, Chandra?”
Chandra replied grimly.
“Indeed.
It has claimed another victim.”
Vikram cut the call immediately.
He pulled out his Supreme King Mudra and teleported to Mayasabha.
