“Boss, stop! There’s a huge supermarket up ahead!”
Ever since receiving Shen Biqian’s approval, Li Li had been excitedly staring out the window. The moment she spotted a supermarket, she immediately shouted.
Following Li Li’s gaze, Shen Biqian looked ahead.
Several demonic beasts were gathered outside the supermarket, roaring viciously.
One of them was currently tearing apart a human corpse.
The victim had already been ripped in half.
One half hung from the beast’s claws, while the other half was clenched in its jaws.
Most of the body had already been devoured, with only a single leg still sticking out of the beast’s mouth.
Aside from the monsters and corpses, there were no living people left outside the supermarket.
A wave of nausea rose from the pit of Shen Biqian’s stomach.
She pressed a hand against her chest to stop herself from vomiting.
On her journey home, she had seen beasts chasing and slaughtering people.

The sight reminded her of her previous life.

“Boss, this can’t be your first time seeing something like this, right?”

Li Li opened the car door.
“Forget it. Boss, stay in the car. I’ll go deal with those beasts first. You can come down afterward.”
Shen Biqian waved her hand and looked at the two men sitting in the back seat.
“You two go help her.”
The men were Long Er and Long San, formerly Li Li’s subordinates.
The moment they received the order, they became excited.
Before the apocalypse, they had been street thugs. Fighting was second nature to them.
If they went a day without getting into a brawl, they felt uncomfortable all over.
After the apocalypse arrived, they had been fortunate enough to awaken abilities.
The violent tendencies buried in their bones became even more unrestrained.
However, ever since meeting Shen Biqian, they had been forced to behave themselves.
Now that they were finally allowed to fight, they rushed out like starving wolves released from a cage.
The beasts guarding the supermarket were weak.
None had even reached the first level of Qi Condensation.
Li Li and the others dispatched them with little effort.
After collecting the beast cores, Li Li waved enthusiastically.
“Boss, all done! Come down!”
She looked reluctantly at the cores in her hand.

“Keep them yourself.”

She quickly stuffed them back into her pocket.

“We don’t know whether there are any high-level beasts inside. Once we’re in the supermarket, nobody wanders off alone. If we run into something powerful, we’ll have each other’s backs.”
Li Li carefully tucked the cores away and nodded casually.
“Whatever Boss says.”
Long Er and Long San naturally didn’t dare object.
Because of the beasts outside, the supermarket’s first floor was completely deserted.
Shen Biqian glanced around.
“The first two floors are jewelry sections. Let’s head directly to the third floor.”
The elevators had long since stopped working.
The group carefully climbed the stairs.
Surprisingly, they didn’t encounter a single beast or survivor along the way.
The entire third floor was devoted to snacks.
The floor was eerily silent.
Shelves stood in complete disarray.
Some were empty.
Others had been knocked over, scattering snacks across the floor.
Clearly, the supermarket had already been looted multiple times.
Since beasts had recently appeared at the entrance, however, no one was currently inside.
“Take fewer things like potato chips,” Shen Biqian instructed.
“Focus on food that can actually fill your stomach—cookies, bread, and similar supplies.”
Li Li had been happily stuffing potato chips, preserved plums, and other snacks into her backpack.
These were all her favorites.
Back when she was poor, she could only watch other people eat them.
Now they were free for the taking.
She had originally planned to fill an entire backpack with snacks and indulge herself.
After hearing Shen Biqian’s words, she looked mournfully at the chips in her hands.
Seeing Shen Biqian wasn’t paying attention, she quickly stuffed them into her bag anyway.

“I only took these few packs. Everything else is bread.”

Instead, she turned away and continued loading bread and biscuits into her own backpack.
Li Li secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
After thoroughly sweeping the third floor, the group headed to the fourth.
This level contained fresh food such as fish and meat.
It was the primary reason they had come.
The moment Li Li stepped onto the floor, she spotted fish swimming in a large tank.
Her eyes immediately lit up.
Grabbing a net nearby, she rushed over.
“I’m taking all these fish!”
“I’ll make braised fish for Mom every day!”
Seeing her enthusiastically fishing, Shen Biqian ignored her.
Turning to Long Er and Long San, she ordered,
“Take all the meat from the refrigerators.”
The two men immediately began gathering meat supplies.
Meanwhile, Shen Biqian headed to the produce section and filled an entire backpack with fruits and vegetables.
After completely looting the supermarket, each person was carrying two large bags.

The group finally reached the first floor.
Then they heard deafening roars.
“Damn it!”

Throwing her backpack onto the ground, she barked orders.
“Long Er, stay here and guard the food!”
“Li Li, Long San, come with me!”
“Let’s get rid of those annoying beasts!”
Long Er immediately pulled a miserable face.
He wanted to fight too.
Meanwhile, Li Li and Long San tossed aside their backpacks and eagerly followed Shen Biqian.
The moment they reached the entrance, Shen Biqian’s expression became grave.
Five beasts stood outside.
One Third-Rank beast.
One Second-Rank beast.
Three First-Rank beasts.
These were completely different from the weak creatures they had encountered earlier.
These monsters were genuinely powerful.

Killing a Second-Rank beast wouldn’t be a problem.

Out of the corner of her eye, Shen Biqian saw Long Er and Long San running back toward them.
She raised her arm and pointed at the Second-Rank beast.
“Wood Binding—go!”
“ROAR!”
The beast was instantly bound by the wooden vines.
It immediately erupted in furious roars, struggling violently in an attempt to break free.
But Shen Biqian had gained this opportunity through a surprise attack.
There was no way she would allow it to escape.
“Wood Binding—tighten!”
