Her eyes were clear at a glance—she wasn’t lying, nor was she saying sweet words to coax him. She truly meant it. It was as if, if she had anything in her hands now, she would not hesitate to give him the best of it.

She looked at him nervously, as though even the slightest movement from him could affect her mood, as though he was her entire world.

Bai Hedu’s eyes were unfathomably deep as he gazed at her.Full novel: Rebirth Love: The Obsessed Ninth Master Has Fallen — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Yun Manxia suddenly felt a sense of danger enveloping her, her hairs nearly standing on end.

The man suddenly let out a soft laugh and said in a hoarse voice, “Alright, I accept it.”

Yun Manxia froze.

Across both her lifetimes, she had hardly ever seen Bai Hedu smile. Caught off guard, she stared at him in a daze.

“What is it?” the man asked, his tone seeming gentler than before.

Yun Manxia snapped back to her senses. “Nothing!”

Her cheeks heated up as she hurriedly looked away, embarrassed.

She couldn’t help but mutter inwardly—her husband was really good-looking…

Yujing Garden.

“Why isn’t Ninth Master back yet?”

Wu Xiaoya had already looked outside countless times.

Xiaomei wiped a vase while saying, “Maybe something delayed him…”

Before she could finish, Bai Hedu’s car pulled up.

Wu Xiaoya excitedly rushed out, only to see the car door open—and the first person to step out was Yun Manxia!

Holding up the hem of her intricate and beautiful dress, she looked like a princess from a fairy tale.

“So Ninth Master went to pick her up,” Xiaomei said. “The route back doesn’t even match the hotel where she attended the banquet. It looks like he made a special detour just to get her.”

“And that dress—Ninth Master specially had it custom-made for her. It’s one of a kind…”

“Stop talking!” Wu Xiaoya snapped.

Her gaze darkened. “Let her be proud for a couple more days. Just wait—soon, I’ll make her get out of Yujing Garden!”

Yun Manxia sensed a malicious gaze and instinctively turned her head, just in time to catch a fleeting glimpse of Wu Xiaoya’s figure. She narrowed her eyes.

Putting it aside for now, she went to the other side of the car, where Lin Shen had just taken out the wheelchair.

“Husband, I’ll help you out!” she said cheerfully as she ran over to open the car door.

Bai Hedu said indulgently, “Alright.”

Lin Shen, who had been about to step forward, silently withdrew his foot.

After helping Bai Hedu into the wheelchair, Yun Manxia naturally took over and pushed him inside.

Lin Shen: “…”

Why did it feel like he was about to lose his job?

When they reached the study, Bai Hedu said, “Go rest.”

“I’m not tired!” Yun Manxia replied.

Bai Hedu sighed helplessly. “Don’t your feet hurt?”

Yun Manxia paused. She had been wearing high heels, and after walking for so long, her feet did feel uncomfortable. She hadn’t expected him to notice.

A sweetness spread through her heart. She obediently said, “Oh, I’ll go change them right away!”

The hem of her dress fluttered past his eyes, the faint fragrance fading as the girl left the study.

Bai Hedu withdrew his gaze and took out the documents from the box.

On the transfer form, the transferor’s name was already filled in as Xia Lian, while the transferee section was still blank. He only needed to sign his name, and the shares would be his.

Seeing that he hadn’t moved for a long time, Lin Shen thought he didn’t intend to accept the gift. After all, this meant little to Ninth Master…

“Pen.” Bai Hedu suddenly spoke, extending his slender hand.

Lin Shen was surprised, but he didn’t hesitate. He immediately picked up Ninth Master’s usual pen from the desk and respectfully handed it over.

Bai Hedu took the pen and calmly signed his name on the document. For some reason, there was a hint of seriousness and solemnity in the action.

As if he had taken Yun Manxia’s words to heart.

Lin Shen hesitated, wanting to say that young girls nowadays were quite skilled at sweet-talking—he shouldn’t believe it too easily!

But seeing that Ninth Master was in a rare good mood, he ultimately kept quiet.

In her room, Yun Manxia first took off her shoes, then changed out of her dress.

Thinking of Bai Hedu’s concern, the corners of her lips kept lifting.

After tidying herself up, she took the bouquet of flowers that was already beginning to wilt out of the vase, planning to turn them into bookmarks.

This was the first bouquet Bai Hedu had ever given her—it held special meaning. She absolutely couldn’t just throw it away!

But soon, her good mood disappeared.

There had originally been ninety-nine roses. She had counted them.

There were still ninety-nine now—but nearly half had been replaced!

The ones stuffed in were ordinary roses of similar colors!

Yun Manxia’s expression darkened. Holding the bouquet, she immediately left her room.

Downstairs, she called over all the nearby servants and asked in a cold voice—

“Who touched my flowers?”

The servants looked at each other. “Madam, we didn’t touch them. What’s wrong with the flowers?”

Yun Manxia didn’t answer. Her cold gaze swept across the servants before suddenly stopping.

“Xiaomei.”

Everyone turned to look at Xiaomei.

Xiaomei lowered her head, her face slightly changing as she stepped forward. “Madam, I didn’t touch your flowers!”

“My room is your responsibility to clean, isn’t it?” Yun Manxia asked.

Xiaomei clenched her clothes. “Yes.”

“Then explain this to me.” Yun Manxia pointed at the bouquet. At first glance, the rare and ordinary roses looked the same, but upon closer inspection, the difference was obvious.

“I don’t know. It has nothing to do with me—”

“Other than you, who else entered my room?”

Xiaomei fell silent, her face turning pale.

She had thought she only swapped a few flowers—Yun Manxia wouldn’t notice.

Besides, the flowers were already wilting. Wouldn’t they just be thrown into the trash anyway?

Who would have thought Yun Manxia cared so much about even a bouquet!

“Where did you take the flowers?” Yun Manxia’s mood was extremely bad. Such an important gift had been ruined like this.

Just then, Wu Xiaoya walked over. Xiaomei instinctively glanced at her.

Wu Xiaoya quickly signaled to her with her eyes.

Xiaomei clenched her teeth and said vaguely, “I gave them away…”

“You gave them away?” Yun Manxia let out a cold laugh. “Who gave you the authority to touch my things at will—and even give them away?”

Wu Xiaoya stepped forward. “Madam, they’re just a few flowers. You didn’t care about them sitting there—do you really need to be so aggressive?”

Yun Manxia calmly sat down on the sofa nearby and looked up at her. “Has Aunt Wu not taught you how to speak to me properly?”

Wu Xiaoya’s expression stiffened.

“I am the Madam. What she touched was also my property. How it should be handled is my decision—it’s not your place to speak,” Yun Manxia said, giving her no face at all.

Ignoring Wu Xiaoya, Yun Manxia turned to Aunt Wu, who had just walked over, and asked, “Are there rules in Yujing Garden for handling a situation like this?”
