The more the woman spoke, the more Kata grew nervous about this new world.

Everything seemed larger than he was used to and the conflict between the humans and the wena was far more complex than he had ever thought.

“Our or rather our ancestors’ rule over this world came to an end with the emergence of the Dao Ancestors.Full novel: Rebirth of the Boundless Tyrant — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Three humans came out of nowhere and with them, they brought the secrets of cultivation.

They established the Dao and spread this path to power among the humans.

The Dao Ancestors preached the Dao to all and from that day on, everything changed.

Humans suddenly gained the ability to become immortals with power to shatter mountains and drain seas.”

Kata felt his mind tremble at this; the so-called cultivation that the woman was talking about seemed similar to the legends of old earth.

“Since the Dao Ancestors preached the Dao to all, why didn’t our ancestors also step onto this path and gain even more power, allowing them to maintain the balance that favored them?” Kata cut her off at this point.

She looked at him as though he was stupid.

‘She is already forgetting that I have a way to kill her with ease,’ Kata thought as he raised his rail gun slightly, ensuring that the woman saw it.

Ammhhhamm, the woman cleared her throat with renewed fear before she continued with her story.

“The Dao Ancestors already knew that our ancestors could not cultivate and so they allowed our ancestors to listen in on the Dao teachings, but as predicted, our ancestors could not make sense of anything the Dao Ancestors were preaching.

When the last Black Emperor realized that his people, our ancestors, could not cultivate, he realized that the humans and all the other races would soon surpass the wena in power.

He immediately decided to begin the Great Purge, a war to exterminate the myriad races, leaving only the Wena in this world.

In the beginning, our ancestors held their own against the immortals, but as the immortals increased their cultivation realms, even the most powerful of our ancestors became nothing but an ant in their presence.

The Black Emperor was defeated and publicly executed for his crimes against humanity.

The Dao Ancestors who had led the humans and the other races against our ancestors declared the fall of the Eternal Jade Empire, bringing an end to the war.

By that time, our population had decreased to less than a quarter of what it had been. New chapters come out on g.com first.

Before the Dao Ancestors ascended, they created the Waning Moon curse that sealed our regenerative powers and limited our strength.

We lost the ability to live for thousands of years and even our current strength is but a shadow of our former glory.

This is the same for our regenerative abilities.

It is said that in the days of old, even beheading a wena was not enough to kill them.

Right now, this is not the case.”

The woman had far more information than what Kata had expected.

‘I still need to verify this information, but it should be very close to the truth.

If I was one of the leaders of the humans, I would allow the wena some knowledge of their past glory and evils, allowing me to brainwash them into better slaves.’

“What are these cultivation realms you speak of?” he asked her.

The woman had already fully surrendered and since Kata did not seem intent on harming her, she decided to give him all the information she had on the humans.

“The only realm I know of is the first realm.

It is called the Immortal Awakening realm.

The realm has nine stages.

The moment a human enters this realm and reaches the fifth stage, their power exceeds what any wena in the current age can muster.

When they reach the sixth stage, they become far too powerful for us.

The immortal in charge of this mine is called Ye Juechen.

He is in the ninth stage of the Awakening Immortal realm.

He is only fourteen years old and yet already holds enough power to kill all the wena in this camp.

From what I have overheard over the years, the immortals sent to supervise the mine are sent here as a rite of passage and nothing more.

There is never more than a single immortal in this place and they stay for only a year before being replaced by someone else.

Kata spoke to the woman for a long time.

He learned everything she had to offer, including her name.

She was called Lasu and she was the chief of the wena in this camp.

Her duties were simply to arrange the wena in doing their work as effectively as possible.

The humans gave her a few benefits that allowed her to live more comfortably than the rest of the wena.

“From this day forward, you will become one of my subordinates.

You will do everything as I order and you will be happy to serve,” he said.

Lasu was surprised that a child who had yet to grow even a single strand of facial hair was so power-hungry, but for now, Kata held all the power and so she accepted.

Lasu even got on her knees and pledged her eternal loyalty.

Kata could see through the act but he did nothing to expose her scheme.

If he was in her place, he would wait for a chance to get the gun away from him and take back his authority and power over the wena.

What Lasu did not know was that Kata did not have only the rail gun to depend on for his survival.

His body had been refined by the radiation and his strength was such that he could take on more than ten wena on his own.

For now, the rail gun was his main attacking method but it was not the only way he had to deal with trouble.

Lasu became a figurehead and Kata held all the power.

With all the information in his hands, Kata decided that with the power he currently had, he was far from matching the immortals.

He was sure that even Ye Juechen was still far more powerful.

Kata decided to stay hidden in this slave camp and continue to increase his power.
