Kata followed the energy trail until he reached deep in the swamp.

At this point, he had to begin digging, but he felt that the radioactive material was not too deep.

He did not need to go back to the surface to breathe.Full novel: Rebirth of the Boundless Tyrant — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He just began digging with his bare hands.

With the strength he had, the soil was easily peeled away multiple layers at a time until Kata found a chunk of dull grey ore.

It was the size of a baby’s head.

Kata immediately knew that this was radioactive material; he did not know how it got to this place, but he did not care too much.

He reached out and grabbed it with his bare hands.

He felt a warm sensation, but that was all.

He swam back to the surface and with the ore in his hands, he did not waste any more time in this place.

He had to go back to the Yue Immortal Clan as soon as possible.

He placed the ore in a lead box he had brought along, and he rushed back to camp before he left the mine altogether.

Kata entered the carriage and rushed back to the clan.

He had been allowed to come to camp with two guards, and these two did not like the idea of having been reduced to guarding a slave.

Unfortunately for them, Kata had made himself quite valuable to the clan.

They did not want to risk losing him.

The carriage was pulled by four powerfully built black horses that moved nonstop until they were back at the clan.

Kata returned to his pavilion, where he immediately brought out the grey ore.

‘This is most likely uraninite, a radioactive ore that managed to reach so close to the surface through geologic upheavals, deep crustal erosion, or perhaps volcanic activity.’

Kata had no fear of this ore.

He carried it onto his lap and placed his hands on top.

He closed his eyes and with his ability to control energy, he began sucking all the radiation out of the ore.

He felt all this power entering his body and moving about in a mysterious pattern. Get faster updates on novelping.com.

Kata decided to make note of the energy movements.

The radiation did not go into the God Spark.

It entered his bones and merged with his blood.

Kata was not too sure about what was happening, but he could feel his strength increase with each passing second.

For the first time since he learned about Immortal cultivation, he believed that what he himself was doing could be called cultivation, even though it had nothing to do with the immortal Dao.

Kata stayed like this for hours until his mother returned.

“Did you get what you wanted from the camp?” she asked him.

“I got what I wanted,” he answered.

Kata stopped absorbing the radiation and sat at the table to have dinner with his mother.

He had gotten used to her coming back with food.

In the past two years, Kara had joined the kitchens and there, she had learned how to cook all sorts of foods.

It was discovered that she was very talented in this area and just like that, she gained more freedom.

With Yue Juechen’s protection, she was not forced to put on a slave ring and she did not even know about them.

Kata witnessed the development of the relationship between his mother and Yue Juechen, but he believed that nothing would ever happen.

After all, the two were of different races and one of them was a slave with the other being the master.

Yue Juechen was also the young master of the Yue clan.

Kata believed that the young man was not foolish enough to give up everything just so he could take a wena lover.

All these were obstacles, and this was before Kata thought of the age difference.

Yue Juechen was now 16 years old and Kara was 30.

For a wena, 30 was still very young, and in the past, a wena at 30 was considered younger than a human in their teens. New chapters come out on g.com first.

With the curse placed upon the wena by the Dao Ancestors, the Wena now had a life span of just 200 years.

It was still impressive, but not something to brag about.

An immortal cultivator who is in the Immortal Awakening realm could live for about 300 years depending on which of the nine stages within the Immortal Awakening realm they managed to reach.

If one reaches the ninth level, they can live for the full 300 years.

Kata had thought about this strange relationship on more than one occasion.

After joining the Yue Immortal Clan, Kata and Kara had to change their living habits.

They now had to live during the day and sleep at night, just like the humans.

This was very stressful considering the effect the sun had on the wena.

The clan gave the two of them a simple white pill and after taking this pill, they no longer had any issues with the sun.

From what they had been told, they had to take a pill after every five years.

Kata wanted to get his hands on this pill so he could study it, but his position did not grant him such an opportunity.

After eating their food, Kara went to sleep.

Kata just resumed absorbing the radiation.

He felt as though he was close to breaking through some sort of limit and he could not wait.

The breakthrough did not come this night, but he was not disappointed.

In the morning, Kata placed the ore back in the lead box and placed the box on his bed.

He did not hide it since this would be suspicious.

The immortals did not care that he had this strange stone.

Kata had been allowed to bring this ore into the clan even after the guards saw it and even felt the strange energy it gave off.

It seemed that the immortals had no use for radioactive material and so they had not bothered to study it in any way.

They did not know the destruction Kata could unleash with this ore in hand.
