The system that had suddenly appeared last time seemed to have issued her a task: plant one plot of land in the space.
Did that mean anything could be planted?
Su Yu looked at the handful of wheat in little Tangtang’s hand and decided to try it when they got home.
That night, when everything was quiet and little Tangtang beside her had fallen into a deep sleep, Su Yu sat cross-legged on the bed.
She thought about entering the space in her mind.
The next moment, the place beneath her turned into soft grass, and the fresh fragrance of grass filled her nose.
She tentatively opened her eyes and found that she had returned to the same place as before.
“System?”
There was still no response.
Su Yu had no choice but to stand up and look around the space.
This space looked somewhat similar to the outside world. Not far away, there was also a clear spring, though Su Yu did not know what it was for.
The endless blue sky here was refreshing to look at.
“Host, since you have entered, begin familiarizing yourself with the space and complete the task.”
!!!
The sudden voice startled Su Yu. She looked around the space but did not see anyone.
“System, is that you?”
The voice seemed to come from the distant horizon, sounding ethereal, like a gust of wind blowing past.
Su Yu heard a voice behind her.
It was still an extremely cold mechanical voice, making her movements stiffen slightly.
When she turned around, she saw a square mechanical face. Its eyes and nose looked rather casually designed, simply three bar-shaped symbols displayed on a screen.
Its whole body was a pale blue.
By now, Su Yu had already calmed down.
She had even experienced dying and coming back to life. What else was there to fear?
“Are you my system alone?”
The system did not answer this question.
It merely signaled for Su Yu to follow it.
Su Yu followed behind the system, walking forward with full attention. She did not notice that the scenery beside her had already changed.
She arrived before an electronic panel, beneath which stood a platform.
“Host, this is the main system that controls the space.”
It sounded quite advanced.
Su Yu stepped directly onto it.
The next moment, something suddenly bound her legs.
“System confirmation in progress… Name: Su Yu…”
As the system gradually confirmed her information, Su Yu became more and more shocked.
It not only revealed her family background, but even the hidden aspects of her personality.
“Binding complete.”
As soon as the voice fell, the space from earlier appeared before Su Yu again.
Only this time, she was viewing it from a godlike perspective.
It was like watching a television screen.
She could see every corner of the space.
“Host, the task I issued last time was for you to plant one plot of land in the space. Try it now.”
A confirmation button appeared on the electronic panel, but Su Yu hesitated.
In her previous life, she had read some novels.
Some people were chosen to complete various tasks. If they failed, they would be erased. If they succeeded, they would return to their original place.
But she did not want to go back now.
Besides, such a good thing would not come to her for no reason.
“I want to ask something. Do I have to pay a price for doing this?”
Su Yu’s voice suddenly turned cold.
Her Tangtang could not suffer another accident.
In this life, she wanted to use everything she had to accompany Tangtang and make up for her.
And Tang Chen too.
What exactly had caused his disappearance in her previous life?
She wanted to uncover everything one by one.
The system remained silent for a moment.
Its square head moved slightly, and its bar-shaped eyes stared at Su Yu.
“Host, as long as you complete the tasks properly, you can live this life happily with your family. Otherwise, you will be erased and returned to your original place.”
Return to her original place?
No.
She refused.
In her previous life, she had lost everything and ended up with her family destroyed.
Wasn’t it just completing tasks?
She could do that.
Su Yu’s gaze instantly became firmer.
“Then I agree. But you must promise me that you won’t harm my family.”
After experiencing such things, Su Yu had become extremely cautious.
She was still unfamiliar with this mechanical system in front of her.
If it tricked her, it would be too late to cry.
The system nodded and said coldly,
“You still haven’t completed the first task. Plant one plot of land in the space. My identity is 001. You may call me that.”
001?
It sounded quite powerful.
Su Yu nodded and looked down near her feet.
Aside from land, this space had only grass and white clouds.
“Give me a hoe first.”
Without tools, how was she supposed to farm?
The electronic panel from earlier appeared in front of Su Yu out of thin air.
“Host, just treat this as a game. Operate directly through this electronic panel.”
That advanced?
What era was this system from?
Su Yu tapped the electronic panel several times with her finger.
Suddenly, a hoe appeared on a plot of land in front of her and actually began loosening the soil by itself.
After the soil was loosened, water from the nearby spring rose directly into the air and irrigated the land.
Seeing the scene before her, Su Yu was extremely surprised.
Such a sight had only ever appeared on television.
She took out the wheat that little Tangtang had given her from her pocket.
Looking at the few lonely wheat seeds in her palm, she suddenly felt embarrassed to take them out.
“Host may try it first.”
Could these few seeds really grow into something?
Su Yu slowly walked toward the plot of land that had already been loosened.
After she planted the wheat into the soil, 001 floated in front of her again.
“Very well, Host. You have completed the task of planting one plot of land in the space. You have received thirty reward points.”
Thirty.
That did not sound like much.
The upper part of the electronic panel directly displayed Su Yu’s identity information.
Su Yu
Initial Beauty Value: 50
Initial Intelligence Value: 60
Initial Physical Strength Value: 40
Initial Combat Value: 20
Using one hundred reward points can randomly drop a beginner gift pack. It may contain varying numbers of reward points, mandatory missions, encounters with benefactors, emergency avoidance chances, and more. Please choose for yourself, Host.
After seeing the contents displayed on the electronic panel, Su Yu looked at the tight amount of reward points in the upper left corner and hesitated over where to add them.
“It is recommended that Host add them to Physical Strength first. You may choose freely afterward.”
In this era, having poor physical strength was not a good thing.
The village recorded work points, and some people had no choice because they were five-guarantee households.
After thinking for a moment, Su Yu eventually added the points to Physical Strength.
Initial Physical Strength Value increased by 30.
Physical Strength Value updated to 70.
The moment the reward points were added, Su Yu immediately felt her body become much lighter.
The exhaustion and fatigue from before also disappeared.
