“There’s no rich woman supporting me. I invested in a few projects before, and the money in the card is just the dividends.”

Bai Heyu gave a simple explanation, then smiled and gently ruffled Bai Yang’s hair.

“What exactly goes on in that little head of yours all day, hmm?”Full novel: Reborn Before the Apocalypse: I Was Shocked to Discover I Know My Child’s Father — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“……”

Bai Yang opened her mouth, but there was no way she could tell him that she had been thinking about how to gather supplies. Besides, she truly had not expected Bai Heyu to be this wealthy. He had casually given her one hundred million!

When Bai Yang remained silent, Bai Heyu sighed. With a casual glance, he happened to notice the list Bai Yang had spent the entire afternoon making, which she had not yet had time to put away.

“What’s this?”

Seeing that Bai Heyu was about to pick up the paper, Bai Yang reacted instantly and grabbed the list before he could, hiding it behind her back.

“It’s a list of things my club needs. I just made it tonight because I have to hand it in.”

Seeing how nervous Bai Yang was over a single sheet of paper, Bai Heyu narrowed his eyes. His eyesight was excellent, and he could clearly see that most of the things on the list were daily necessities. The quantities, however, were far too large. He figured that Qingqing simply wanted to use the money to buy everything on the list.

Bai Heyu did not question her further. Instead, he reminded Bai Yang that she had spent an entire day on the train and needed to get some proper rest. After saying that, he left.

Bai Yang let out a sigh of relief. She leaned against the door and listened until she heard the sound of Bai Heyu closing his bedroom door before she finally relaxed completely. Thinking about the seeds she had planted in her space the previous night, Bai Yang entered the space.

Inside the space, the first batch of vegetables and fruits she had planted had already blossomed, while the ones planted later had also sprouted and were growing exceptionally well.

Bai Yang realized that there were no other animals in the space besides the newly planted crops. Even though the plants had begun to flower, there was no way for them to be pollinated naturally. She therefore left the space, took a small brush, and began tirelessly pollinating the flowering plants by hand.

The next morning, everyone in the family was already awake. The only room that remained completely quiet was Bai Yang’s.

Bai Suisui knocked on the door.

“Sis, are you awake? Mom has made breakfast. It’s time to eat!”

Bai Yang, who had become completely absorbed in pollinating the flowers inside the space, was startled by Bai Suisui’s voice and hurriedly left the space.

“I’m already up. I’ll be out in a minute!”

Bai Yang changed her clothes and quickly washed up. She was about to use concealer to cover the hickeys on her neck again when she looked into the mirror and discovered that they had completely disappeared.

“Could injuries heal faster inside the space too?”

Hearing the voices coming from the living room, Bai Yang did not dwell on it. She could test it the next time she entered the space. Thinking about all the plants that had gradually begun flowering, Bai Yang decided to catch some butterflies and other flying insects after breakfast and put them into the space to help pollinate the crops.

When Bai Yang left her room, everyone was already seated around the dining table in the living room, with only her seat empty. She quickly slipped into the only vacant seat beside Bai Heyu.

Seeing how late Bai Yang had come out, Bai Mom could not help worrying.

“Yangyang, are you tired from spending the whole day on the train yesterday? Go back to sleep for a while after breakfast.”

“I’m not tired. I’ve taken trains before too. Mom, I’m only staying home for one day. Tomorrow, my roommate wants me to go to her house and stay for a few days.”

Now that Bai Yang had money, she needed to gather even more supplies. Simply ordering things online was nowhere near enough. It would be better to take advantage of the opportunity and lie to her family so she could go out and collect supplies.

“You just came back for one day and you’re leaving again?”

Although Bai Mom was reluctant to let her daughter leave again after only one day, there was not much she could say. Bai Dad, however, gave Bai Yang another look.

“You’re really going to your roommate’s house for a few days? You’ve said that before, and in the end…”

Seeing that her father was about to expose her old tricks, Bai Yang hurriedly interrupted him and instinctively straightened her back.

“Really, Dad! Why would I lie to you? If you don’t believe me, I’ll call my roommate right now. You can ask her yourself!”

Bai Heyu did not join the conversation. From the corner of his eye, he watched Bai Yang’s slender waist straighten, secretly amused.

Seeing that she had managed to fool them, Bai Yang quickly finished the food in her bowl and went out to catch some flying insects for her space.

After spending the entire morning working on it, the space finally had some other living creatures. Bai Yang no longer had to worry about the flowers going unpollinated.

Once she had finished, Bai Yang followed the list she had organized the previous day and began placing orders online, one batch after another, having everything delivered to the large warehouse in the suburbs.

In just one afternoon, half of the money she had received the day before was already gone.

She had essentially bought everything on the list. After that, she booked a flight to Hai City.

Bai Yang had only stayed home for one day before leaving again. This time, she did not bring her suitcase, only her phone and charger.

Before leaving Q City, Bai Yang first went to the countryside and bought a large group of chicks, ducklings, and goslings, making sure there were both males and females. She had originally wanted to buy some fish fry as well, but unfortunately, there was temporarily no room in the space to raise them, so she had no choice but to give up on the idea and take a flight to Hai City.

Thinking about how she had failed to buy the fish fry, Bai Yang felt terribly distressed. Once she boarded the plane, her consciousness entered the space.

Inside the space, Bai Yang followed the stream away from the fields and dug a pond near the lower reaches. She then diverted some of the stream water into it.

There was too little time during the flight. Even though time moved much more slowly inside the space than outside, the pond was still less than one percent full.

Bai Yang decided that after getting off the plane, she would first rent an excavator. Then, once there was no one around at night, she would bring the excavator into the space and use it to dig out the pond.

Hai City was known as a land of abundant fish and rice, and Bai Yang’s main purpose in coming here was to purchase grain.

Bai Yang changed into the clothes of an ordinary office worker and disguised herself as a company representative to purchase grain.

After running around for more than half a month, Bai Yang looked at the mountains of various kinds of grain piled up inside her space, enough to feed her for several lifetimes, and felt completely satisfied. She finally enjoyed the only truly restful sleep she had managed to get in the space throughout that entire half month.

After more than half a month of renovations, the space had undergone a major transformation. There was now a pond, the farmland had expanded considerably, a simple temporary shelter had been built, and even a large cold storage facility had been constructed.

The cold storage was filled with the fresh meat and seafood Bai Yang had purchased.

After waking up, Bai Yang looked at the completely transformed space and finally decided that it was time to leave Hai City. She bought a plane ticket and flew to Inner Mongolia.

In Inner Mongolia, Bai Yang purchased one thousand cattle and one thousand sheep, making sure they were evenly paired between males and females. After putting them into the space and arranging everything properly, she immediately bought a plane ticket back to Q City.

It was already June. The moment Bai Yang stepped off the plane, she felt that the temperature outside was unbearably high. After getting into a taxi, she had not even reached the warehouse in the suburbs when she began feeling extremely stuffy and overheated. Her head was dizzy, and her stomach was churning.

When she finally got out of the car, Bai Yang felt as though the sun were about to roast her alive.

“Ugh, ugh…”

Bai Yang leaned against a tree by the roadside and retched for a while, but nothing came up. She could only dry heave repeatedly.

After making sure there was no one around, Bai Yang took a bottle of water from her space and slowly drank it. She rested for quite some time before finally suppressing the nausea churning in her stomach.

When Bai Yang arrived at the warehouse, the several bodyguards she had hired were counting the supplies. One of them noticed her and could not help coming over to ask,

“Boss, are you planning to open a supermarket with all these things?”

Bai Yang nodded without answering. Once all the bodyguards had finished counting the supplies, Bai Yang checked the figures herself and confirmed that everything was accounted for before giving the bodyguards their leave.

The six bodyguards were delighted to discover that they were actually getting time off. Not only had their wages been paid in advance, but they had also finished their work early and could take a vacation. It was almost too good to be true.

They happily said goodbye to Bai Yang and left the warehouse.

After checking her surroundings and making sure there was no one nearby, Bai Yang entered the warehouse and stored all the supplies inside her space, one batch at a time.

Once everything in the warehouse had been collected into the space, Bai Yang took a taxi to a nearby supermarket and bought a large pile of vegetables before finally returning home.
