Su Zhen covered her face while crying, sobbing uncontrollably as she spoke.

She looked utterly pitiful.

Anyone unaware of the situation would truly think she had suffered some enormous grievance.Full novel: Reborn in the 1970s: Transmigrated into a Big Shot’s Lucky Little Pampered Wife — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Standing beside Su Zhen, Qin Jiao quickly stepped in to comfort her.

“Zhenzhen, don’t be sad. It’s actually better that she’s shameless like this. I never liked her as my sister-in-law anyway.”

“Now that she’s disgraced herself and gotten involved with a cripple, this is even better.”

“In the future, you’ll be my sister-in-law instead.”

Qin Jiao looped her arm through Su Zhen’s and looked at Su Yun smugly.

Su Zhen covered her face, shaking her head while crying.

“Jiao Jiao, don’t talk nonsense. Brother Qin Xiao… he… he’s my brother-in-law…”

“Even if my sister betrayed him, I… I can’t… I can’t be with him…”

Seeing this, Su Yun’s lips curled into a faint smile.

She pushed herself up from beneath Xiao Yuan.

Xiao Yuan looked at her with some concern.

“Su… Su… comrade…”

The worry in his eyes was genuine.

Su Yun gave him a reassuring smile.

A faint coldness lingered between her brows as she looked toward the smug Su Zhen at the door.

She slowly got out of bed, a faint smile still on her lips, her gaze landing on Su Zhen.

“Little sister.”

Arms crossed, she curved her lips and walked over to Su Zhen.

“Take a look at me.”

Su Zhen let go of her face, her calculating gaze falling on Su Yun.

Su Yun’s eyes curved slightly—then she suddenly raised her hand and slapped her hard across the face.

The loud slap left Su Zhen dizzy and seeing stars.

She covered her face, instinctively wanting to curse back at Su Yun.

But before she could, Su Yun lifted her leg and kicked her hard in the lower abdomen.

“Ah…”

Su Zhen staggered backward several steps.

The fake smile on her face could no longer be maintained.

“You!”

She clutched her stomach, trembling as she pointed at Su Yun.

Qin Jiao, who was beside her, finally snapped back to reality and rushed forward, trying to help Su Zhen deal with Su Yun.

Su Yun paused, glancing sideways at her.

That single look froze Qin Jiao in place.

Her face turned pale with fear, and she didn’t dare move forward.

Su Yun curved her lips into a sweet smile.

“Don’t rush.”

“You’re next.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she slapped Su Zhen again across the other cheek.

Both of Su Zhen’s cheeks immediately swelled red and swollen.

But this was not the end.

It was only the beginning.

She rolled up her sleeves and began striking left and right—slap after slap raining down on Su Zhen’s face.

In total, she probably landed around twenty slaps. Su Zhen’s face had become so swollen it was almost unrecognizable.

Then she lifted her foot and kicked Su Zhen in the stomach again.

With a heavy thud, Su Zhen fell backward onto the ground.

“Zhenzhen!”

Qin Xiao, who had been hiding outside the courtyard watching the show, never expected that instead of seeing Su Yun being beaten, he would see Su Zhen—who had just gotten a marriage certificate—lying on the ground instead.

His heart ached.

He jumped down from the crooked tree and rolled up his sleeves, ready to deal with Su Yun.

“Qin Xiao…”

Inside the low house, Xiao Yuan saw Qin Xiao about to attack Su Yun and, in a panic, quickly grabbed his crutch and hurried outside.

But Qin Xiao’s fist was already swinging toward Su Yun.

Seeing this, Su Yun tilted her head slightly and dodged the punch by half a step. She then grabbed his wrist.

Gathering all her strength, she stepped back two paces, pulling his body forward. At the same time, she twisted her body and drove her elbow straight into his jaw.

A clear crack rang out.

Qin Xiao grimaced in pain.

“Ah…”

He pulled back his hand, trying to touch his jaw.

But Su Yun didn’t let him.

She lifted her knee and drove it straight up into his most vulnerable spot.

“Ah!”

“Ah!”

“Su Yun… Su Yun…”

Qin Xiao collapsed to the ground, clutching himself, screaming and crying uncontrollably.

The surrounding people were stunned.

Was this really the quiet, almost invisible daughter of the Su family?

How was she this fierce?

This was far too ruthless.

Even Xiao Yuan, who had worried she might be bullied, widened his eyes at the scene.

Where did she learn such skilled close-combat techniques?

Su Yun’s body was too weak.

After slapping Su Zhen dozens of times, kicking her a few times, and beating Qin Xiao, she was already close to exhaustion.

She stopped and stood there, taking deep breaths.

Then she looked at the neighbors watching her like they had seen a ghost.

A faint smile appeared on her lips again.

Everyone immediately took a step back in unison, their faces filled with fear.

They were afraid.

Su Yun withdrew her smile and finally spoke after catching her breath.

“Everyone, I didn’t hit anyone for no reason. It’s just that this pair of dogs and men went too far.”

She pointed at Qin Xiao curled up on the ground, then at the injuries on her own head and neck.

“This man had already gotten involved with my younger sister Su Zhen long ago but kept it hidden. Yesterday, when I married into the Qin family, he finally showed his true colors.”

“In our new house, he choked and beat me, nearly killing me, then carried me to Comrade Xiao’s courtyard.”

“And then he went around spreading rumors that I was having an affair with Comrade Xiao.”

She paused and looked down at the two on the ground.

“If I’m not mistaken, these two have already gone to town to get their marriage certificate.”

The crowd was shocked.

Even Qin Jiao didn’t believe it.

“You’re lying! How could Zhenzhen possibly get a marriage certificate with my brother? They’re not even together. Stop making things up!”

Su Yun glanced at her coldly.

“Do I need to lie to someone as stupid as you?”

“You!”

Qin Jiao clenched her fists, wanting to rush forward.

But seeing her brother and Su Zhen lying on the ground, she backed off again.

“You hit people. This won’t be settled. I’m going to call my father and the brigade leader!”

She threatened.

Su Yun welcomed it.

“Go ahead.”

“Perfect timing—I also want to ask who, knowing I married Qin Xiao yesterday, secretly issued these two scum a referral letter to go to the commune and register their marriage?”

Su Zhen and Qin Xiao, both unable to stand, could only watch helplessly as Qin Jiao ran out to call people.

Su Yun, exhausted, glanced at a small stool nearby, walked over, and sat down heavily.

She waited.

But the first person to arrive was not Qin Aiguo or the brigade leader, but an anxious Xu Dongmei.

The moment she entered the courtyard, she saw her son lying on the ground.

It was as if the sky had collapsed.

She rushed over, threw herself beside Qin Xiao, and cried bitterly.

“My son! My son, what happened to you? What happened?!”

“Who did this to you? Who hurt you like this?”

In the courtyard, although she had more than one child present, Xu Dongmei’s eyes only saw Qin Xiao.

Su Yun lifted her gaze and looked toward Xiao Yuan at the doorway.
