“What are you doing? I’m not getting up, so what’s it to you? What are you going to do about it? If you don’t like it, then push me away! Who told you to hold me so tightly?” Zhu Queqi, as always, knew how to read the situation. Right now, she had the upper hand.

Gu Ansheng didn’t say a word, but he held her even tighter, keeping her firmly in his arms. He remembered that she usually didn’t let him touch her waist—her sides were ticklish, and every time he did, she would squirm. But he liked it, loved the soft, delicate feel of it.

Now, though, reason prevailed over desire. This wasn’t the time to indulge. The unbearable torment he’d felt these past days… he didn’t want to experience it again. If it happened again, he knew he’d collapse.Full novel: Reborn in the ’80s: Marrying the Spoiled Little Trickster — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Next time you even think about saying you want to break up, will you dare?” Gu Ansheng’s tone was brief and serious, his dark eyes locked on hers, demanding an answer.

“Hey! Move your hands off my waist first!” Zhu Queqi wriggled, half teasing, half annoyed.

Gu Ansheng obediently shifted his hands up a centimeter or two. Zhu Queqi, not wanting to argue, adjusted herself into a comfortable position against him and finally spoke slowly.

“Ansheng, I swear, I’ll never mention breaking up with you again.”

She didn’t really want to give in so easily, but Gu Ansheng’s thumb was already tracing over her waist. It wasn’t just ticklish—she could feel little sparks of electricity running through her.

“You little pervert!” she exclaimed, glaring at him, though the tips of her ears betrayed her, quietly pinking.

Despite appearing calm, Gu Ansheng was barely restraining himself. The warmth in her waist made his fingers tremble. But for the sake of their future happiness, he forced himself to ask: “From now on, who’s in charge between us?”

Zhu Queqi thought fast. No matter what she said now, in the past, she’d always been the one calling the shots. So she softened her voice and replied, “Of course, you’re in charge, Ansheng.”

Hearing this, the shadow in Gu Ansheng’s eyes finally cleared. His posture relaxed.

Feeling emboldened, Zhu Queqi continued cheerfully: “Actually, the first time I saw you when I went to the countryside, I already liked you. Seeing you, I finally understood what it means to be as handsome as Pan An…”

Gu Ansheng wasn’t listening to her words. His face was so close to hers that her words had already disappeared. He looked at her with deep, intense eyes filled with desire. Zhu Queqi felt a little dizzy under his gaze and quickly looked away, realizing there was no escaping today.

To get a little advantage, she started to act coy, wrapping her hands around his neck and whining, “Ansheng, no other man treats me as well as you do. You have to keep spoiling me like this, okay?”

She leaned closer, tilting her lips near his ear, and softly whispered, “If you promise me, then kiss me.”

Feeling her warm breath on his ear, Gu Ansheng slightly pulled them apart, scanning her face from forehead to eyes to nose, before finally stopping at her lips. Calmly, he asked, “Just a kiss?”

Seeing his intentions so clear, Zhu Queqi laughed and stretched the answer playfully: “Then… two kisses?”

It wasn’t to tease him—she just remembered the past. Back at the youth camp, she had suffered plenty because of him. They would agree to limits, but once he started, he wouldn’t stop, gradually moving from lips to chin to neck…

He seemed to have endless energy, while she was always left exhausted. And the worst part—he would act innocent afterward, calling her “too delicate” and “all show, no substance!”

Today, she had just planned to give him a little treat. But now, it was out of her hands.

No sooner had she finished speaking than Gu Ansheng leaned in and kissed her, one hand pressing against the back of her head, leaving her no room to escape. Their lips met, and his excitement arched his back.

Zhu Queqi, unable to resist, let herself be kissed. The dense, unrelenting kisses fell like rain, lips and teeth intertwining.

When he finally stopped, burying his face in her shoulder, breathing heavily, Zhu Queqi said nothing, melting completely in his arms.

Just as their passion peaked, they heard movement outside. Zhu Queqi snapped out of it, trying to push away, but Gu Ansheng held her tightly again. Her palms grew clammy from gripping him, and she realized he had been teasing her, letting her almost panic before finally letting go.

“Queqi, go freshen up first. I’ll take you out to eat.” Gu Ansheng looked content, gently lowering her from his lap. Once she was steady, he couldn’t resist stroking her cheek softly.

The cabinet door in his room had a mirror. Zhu Queqi moved away from his hand and checked herself. Her lips were swollen, the lipstick she had applied in the morning now gone—eaten off by Gu Ansheng. Well, it was his gift anyway, so let him enjoy it.

Once they both straightened themselves, they held hands and walked out together, fingers intertwined, sweetness flowing in every touch.
