When Chen Feng reached the gate of the hut, Chen Ling walked out.
Chen Ling looked at him calmly.
“Let’s go to the lecture hall,” she said.
Chen Feng hesitated for a moment before asking,
“What was that energy just now?
It felt extremely powerful.”
Chen Ling smiled lightly.
“I just made a breakthrough and reached the Fifth Layer of Qi Refinement.”
Chen Feng froze in shock.
“In just two days of cultivation, you already reached the Fifth Layer?!”
Chen Ling looked at his surprised face and laughed softly.
“The lecture will begin soon.
Are you just going to stand there staring?
Let’s go.”
Chen Feng finally returned to his senses and followed her toward the lecture hall.
As the two entered the hall, countless eyes turned toward them.
“I heard he defeated a Fourth Layer Qi Refinement disciple.”
“He must be at least at the Fifth Layer himself.”
The disciples whispered among themselves.
Without paying attention to anyone, Chen Feng and Chen Ling walked inside and sat down.
A few moments later, the lecturer entered the hall, and everyone greeted him respectfully.
The lecturer glanced toward Chen Feng.
“Chen Feng, stand up.”
Chen Feng stood calmly.
“I heard you fought a disciple yesterday and won.
I only have one question.”
“What cultivation level are you currently at?”
Chen Feng answered honestly.
“Lecturer, I am only at the First Layer of Qi Refinement.”
The entire lecture hall fell silent.
Everyone stared at him in disbelief.
Even the lecturer was visibly shocked.
After a few seconds, the lecturer finally spoke.
“You may sit down.
Let us begin the lecture.”
After the lecture ended, a young disciple walked toward Chen Feng’s desk with excitement on his face.
“I am Wu Fan,” he introduced himself.
“I watched your fight yesterday.
I was impressed by how you defeated someone stronger than you.”
Wu Fan grinned proudly.
“I want to become your friend.
One day, I’ll become the number one disciple in the entire sect.”
Chen Feng looked at him for a moment before laughing.
“I am Chen Feng.”
“And I’ll give you strong competition for that number one position.”
The three of them began walking back toward the mountain peaks together.
Wu Fan pointed toward a nearby peak.
“I live at Unyielding Peak.”
As they walked, Wu Fan explained the major powers inside the sect.
“There are many powerful families here, but the strongest five are:
Xian FamilyBai FamilyChen FamilyZhou FamilyWu Family”
Wu Fan lowered his voice slightly.
“The strongest among them are the Xian Family and the Bai Family.”
He glanced toward Chen Ling.
“Your master is also from the Bai Family.”
While they were talking, they suddenly saw an old man walking toward them with a wooden cane in his hand.
Wu Fan immediately bowed respectfully.
“Master!”
Wu Fan quickly introduced him.
“This is my master, Zhou Mai, the Peak Master of Unyielding Peak.”
Chen Feng and Chen Ling greeted him politely.
At that moment, Chen Ling noticed a small turtle resting in Zhou Mai’s hand.
“So cute!” she exclaimed.
“Grandpa, is this your pet?”
Zhou Mai laughed proudly.
“Yes, little girl.
This is my spiritual pet.”
Then his expression became strange.
“But it doesn’t like strangers touching it.”
Before he could even finish speaking, Chen Ling gently patted the turtle’s head.
To everyone’s shock, the turtle happily rubbed against her hand like an obedient pet.
Zhou Mai’s face instantly darkened.
He looked betrayed.
It almost seemed like he wanted to grab the turtle and cook it immediately.
Chen Feng and Wu Fan struggled to hold back their laughter.
After chatting for a while, Chen Ling returned the turtle.
The group said goodbye and separated.
On the way back, Chen Feng smiled.
“They really looked like a grandfather and grandson.”
Chen Ling nodded happily.
“Yes, especially that turtle.
It was adorable.”
Soon, the two returned to their hut and prepared for dinner with their master.
At the dining table, Bai Ruyu looked toward Chen Feng with a serious expression.
“I heard you fought a disciple at the Fourth Layer of Qi Refinement while you were only at the First Layer.”
Chen Feng nearly choked on his food.
“They tried to create problems between me and Chen Ling,” he explained quickly.
“How could I just stand there and watch?”
He lowered his head slightly.
“Sorry, Master.
I won’t make you worry again.”
Bai Ruyu remained silent for a moment before taking out two bottles filled with medicinal pills.
“These are Qi and Blood Pills.”
“They will help both of you cultivate faster.”
Chen Feng and Chen Ling immediately thanked her and accepted the pills.
After dinner, the two returned to their huts and wished each other goodnight.
Inside his room, Chen Feng sat down cross-legged.
“Let’s begin cultivating.”
He swallowed one Qi and Blood Pill.
Nothing happened.
Confused, he swallowed two more pills.
Still nothing.
Chen Feng frowned.
Finally, he opened the entire bottle and swallowed every single pill inside.
BOOM!
A terrifying surge of energy exploded inside his body.
The Qi rushed wildly through his meridians like a raging river.
The energy became more and more violent with every second.
Then suddenly—
A powerful beam of light burst out from Chen Feng’s body…
