Chen Feng almost felt suffocated by her cuteness.
Soon, the two of them were traveling around the nearby market.
Chen Ling happily moved from stall to stall while Chen Feng followed behind her carrying countless bags.
“Chen Feng, hurry up!”
“I’m already carrying half the market,” Chen Feng sighed.
Eventually, they arrived before a massive building.
Treasure Pavilion.
Inside were countless treasures, weapons, pills, and cultivation arts.
“Let’s go inside!” Chen Ling said excitedly.
The two entered the pavilion.
Artifacts radiating spiritual energy filled the hall.
Powerful weapons were displayed behind protective formations.
Fortunately, their family sent them ten high-grade spirit stones every month, so they were not lacking money.
Chen Ling rushed around excitedly.
“Chen Feng, look!
That sword is a top-tier artifact!”
“And over there!
A Yellow-Grade martial art!”
“Wait—there’s even a Blue-Grade martial art!”
She looked around with sparkling eyes like an excited child.
Meanwhile, Chen Feng suddenly stopped walking.
An energy fluctuation…
His eyes narrowed.
He slowly walked toward the source of the strange energy.
Finally, he stopped before an old black cauldron covered in dust.
The fluctuation was coming from it.
Chen Feng picked up the cauldron and brought it to the receptionist.
“I want to buy this cauldron.”
The receptionist examined it briefly.
“Three spirit stones.”
Chen Feng paid without hesitation.
Then his gaze landed on a beautiful jade hairpin nearby.
“And I’ll take that jade hairpin as well.”
After buying it, he walked toward Chen Ling.
However, when he arrived—
A young man was standing before her with several guards behind him.
Chen Ling looked uncomfortable.
The young master smirked arrogantly.
“Young lady, why don’t you come with me?
I can buy you anything in this pavilion.”
Chen Feng’s eyes instantly turned cold.
He stepped forward and pushed the young master away from Chen Ling.
The young master staggered backward before glaring furiously at Chen Feng.
“I am xian Hou, young master of the Xian Family!” he roared.
“How dare a low-born trash touch me?!”
“I’ll kill you!”
Boom!
xian Hou charged forward with the strength of the Eighth Layer of Qi Refinement.
But Chen Feng calmly dodged every attack as if he could see through them all.
Xian Hou became increasingly furious.
“Stand still and fight!”
Chen Feng sneered.
“I can defeat you without even using my full strength.”
The next moment—
Bang!
Chen Feng’s fist slammed into Xian Hou’s chest.
Xian Hou was sent flying backward.
Just before he crashed into the wall, two protectors suddenly appeared behind him and caught him.
The protectors glared at Chen Feng with killing intent.
“You dare injure our young master?!”
Xian Hou pointed at Chen Feng angrily.
“Kill him!”
The two protectors released powerful pressure.
But suddenly—
A terrifying aura descended upon the pavilion.
Boom!
The protectors were instantly pinned to the ground.
An old voice echoed through the hall.
“No one is allowed to fight inside the Treasure Pavilion.”
“And your young master has already caused enough trouble.
Take him and leave.”
Cold sweat covered the protectors’ foreheads.
“Yes, Senior!”
The pressure disappeared.
The two protectors quickly grabbed Xian Hou and fled from the pavilion.
Chen Feng and Chen Ling respectfully bowed toward the source of the aura before leaving as well.
Back in the market streets—
Chen Ling looked slightly shaken.
Chen Feng gently spoke,
“Chen Ling, you don’t need to worry.”
“As long as I’m with you, no one will be able to harm even a single hair on your head.”
Chen Ling wiped away the tears in her eyes and smiled softly.
Later, the two stopped at an inn to eat.
The dishes quickly filled the table.
Chen Ling immediately started stuffing food into her mouth.
“Slow down,” Chen Feng laughed.
“I’m not stealing your food.”
Chen Ling tried to reply, but her mouth was already completely full.
Chen Feng helplessly patted her head.
“Don’t talk while eating.”
Chen Ling nodded obediently while continuing to eat.
But in the corner of the inn—
A man wearing a black robe silently stared at them.
His eyes were cold and mysterious.
