“A reward? How about I buy you a car? Do you want a Bentley or a Lamborghini? Or do you prefer a Cadillac?”

“Not interested in any of those.”

“Is it going to be our marital home?”

“No, it’s a bachelor pad for you.”

“Then I don’t want it.”

Yin Lan had a headache—he didn’t want this, he didn’t want that.

“What kind of reward do you want? At least give me a hint.”

Unexpectedly, Zhou Guchuan pointed to his own face. “Lanlan, how about a kiss?”

“Sure.” Yin Lan didn’t hesitate at all—kissing a handsome guy was no loss for her.

Mwah.

“Consider your reward given in advance. Now do a good job.”

Having gotten the reward he wanted, Zhou Guchuan was clearly in a better mood and began carefully tying Yin Lan’s hair.

Last night, he had learned how to braid a fishtail hairstyle. As soon as he saw it, he thought it would suit Yin Lan perfectly.

He had practiced for two hours, watching the tutorial dozens of times, and the steps were still fresh in his mind.

Zhou Guchuan worked with a focused expression, gently brushing aside the stray hairs that fell along Yin Lan’s neck. His movements were light, careful not to tug or hurt her.

He divided her hair into three sections, weaving them together in an alternating pattern. The strands slipped smoothly through his fingers, soft and obedient.

Although he had mastered the tutorial, this was his first time actually doing it. Zhou Guchuan occasionally paused to adjust the tightness, making sure it wasn’t pulling uncomfortably.

The fishtail braid gradually took shape—neat and elegant. When he reached the end, Zhou Guchuan secured it with a thin elastic band and gently tucked the loose strands behind her ears.

“All done. Do you like it?”

Yin Lan hadn’t expected much, but to her surprise, he had actually managed it.

She ran to the mirror and looked from side to side—it was quite pretty.

“It looks nice. I like it.”

“Let the waitstaff clear the plates. It’s time for us to head to the island.”

“Let’s go, let’s go!”

Zhou Guchuan had rented a yacht equipped with everything—a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and living room—like a small home.

On the island in May, the sun wasn’t too harsh. Yin Lan took a lounge chair and lay on the deck, enjoying the sea breeze and watching the seagulls in the distance.

Zhou Guchuan came out of the kitchen with freshly cut honeydew melon and fragrant blueberries, handing them directly to Yin Lan so she could eat easily.

Yin Lan popped a blueberry into her mouth. With one bite, the cool, juicy burst felt incredibly refreshing.

“Keep eating. I’ll catch our lunch.”

Before Yin Lan could process what he meant, she saw the man skillfully cast a net into the sea.

“You’re going to catch fish?”

“Not just fish—crabs and lobsters too. Do you like those?”

Yin Lan nodded. “As long as they’re cooked well, I like everything.”

“Lanlan, you’re so easy to please.”

Yin Lan had thought the net would need constant supervision, but Zhou Guchuan secured it to the yacht and lay down beside her, sharing the fruit and even feeding her blueberries from time to time.

When the plate was nearly empty, Zhou Guchuan asked, “Want to go for a swim? Let’s play in the water for a while.”

“Swim? I didn’t bring a swimsuit.”

“Everything’s prepared on the yacht. If you want to go, we can change.”

“Let’s do it! The sea is so blue—it’d be a shame not to go in.”

There was only one separate changing room on the yacht. Zhou Guchuan let Yin Lan go first to change, planning to go himself after she was done.

Once inside the changing room, Yin Lan discovered it was a whole new world. She had originally thought there would only be one swimsuit inside, but who could tell her what was going on with this entire wall of styles?

Yin Lan was dazzled by the choices. In the end, she randomly picked a pretty one to wear, because every single set was so beautiful she simply couldn’t decide.

After changing, the door to the changing room was gently pushed open. Zhou Guchuan glanced up casually, and his fingers, which had been handling work on his phone, froze. The screen instantly went dark.

Yin Lan was wearing a light purple swimsuit, her skin glowing faintly, her cheeks flushed with a rosy hue. The curves usually hidden by clothing were now fully exposed—full breasts, a slender waist, and straight legs so pale they seemed to shine.

Zhou Guchuan forgot to blink, his heartbeat growing heavier and heavier.

It wasn’t until Yin Lan asked with a smile what was wrong that Zhou Guchuan suddenly snapped back to reality, his ears burning hot as he hastily averted his gaze.

His voice was hoarse: “Nothing, I just think… you look really good like this.”

“Thank you. You should go change too.”

“Okay.”

Zhou Guchuan fled into the room as if escaping. If he kept looking any longer, he would give himself away.

Men’s swimwear was much simpler—just a pair of trunks. However, it was a test of physique.

When Zhou Guchuan emerged from the changing room, he was wearing only a pair of dark-colored swim trunks.

Broad shoulders, narrow waist, clearly defined abdominal muscles—not exaggerated but sharply outlined, extending down along his waistline. His Adonis belt was partially hidden by the swim trunks, just the perfect golden ratio of a model.

Yin Lan couldn’t help but sneak several glances. Good heavens, she never expected Zhou Guchuan to have such an impressive physique. It was truly a sight for sore eyes.

The man was the first to jump into the sea. After surfacing, he spread his arms toward Yin Lan on the deck.

“Lanlan, come down. I’ll catch you.”

Yin Lan took a deep breath, squinted her eyes, and jumped. As soon as she hit the water, she felt a pair of large hands steadily supporting her.

Her hair was completely soaked by the seawater, some strands floating on the surface while others clung to the curves of her body.

From Zhou Guchuan’s perspective, Yin Lan looked like a mermaid princess from the sea, so beautiful she seemed to glow, sacred and untouchable.

Once she gradually adjusted, Zhou Guchuan slowly let go.

But as soon as he loosened his hold a little, the woman tightly wrapped herself around him, her arms firmly hooked around his neck, not letting him leave.

“Don’t go. With such a vast expanse of sea, having no support is a bit scary.”

Yin Lan usually swam in pools, so jumping into the sea was a first for her, and she couldn’t help feeling a little nervous.

Seeing the woman so dependent on him, Zhou Guchuan’s heart melted. He gently patted her back to comfort her: “Don’t be afraid. I’m right here.”

While comforting her, the man also enjoyed the closeness. If only time could stop at this moment.

After a while, Yin Lan slowly overcame her fear of the sea and happily began swimming on her own.

Seeing that she could manage independently, Zhou Guchuan felt a bit regretful, wishing it could have lasted longer.

Later, as she grew more comfortable in the water, Zhou Guchuan spoke up: “Swim on your own for a bit. Be careful. I’ll go find something nice for you.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the man dove headfirst into the sea, disappearing without a trace as if he had never been there.

Three minutes passed, and Yin Lan might have thought the item was just hard to find and needed more time. But after five minutes, she began to grow uneasy.

Shouting towards the boundless sea, she cried, “Zhou Guchuan, where are you? Can you hear me?”

No one answered.

“Guchuan, are you there? Say something.”

Still, only silence…

“Come out! If you can’t find it, just stop looking!” Her tone grew increasingly anxious.

Finally, Yin Lan’s voice gradually took on a sob, “Don’t scare me. I don’t want that thing anymore. Just come up for air first.”

As soon as the words fell, Zhou Guchuan suddenly emerged from the seawater, droplets rolling down his jawline.

Before Yin Lan could even gasp, her wrist was seized by the man’s damp palm. With a gentle pull, he drew her close.

In the next moment, a kiss carrying the scent of sea breeze and seawater landed unexpectedly. It wasn’t exactly gentle, carrying a hint of undeniable possessiveness.
