Elizabeth took the memory card out of her pocket and handed it to Emily.

“Upload the video for me, and then go talk to the principal.”

In her deep memory, the principal at Halden University was one of the few decent people.Full novel: Reborn: Spoil Me This Time — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Back when Emily was tormented by that scumbag Martin, she completely broke down.

It wasn’t until she jumped off a building that Elizabeth realized—Victoria had orchestrated the whole thing.

“Liz, hey, Liz…”

Emily’s voice suddenly pulled her back to the present.

Elizabeth looked up and said, “Be careful, Em.”

After Emily left, Elizabeth sat back down with nothing much to do.

She pulled out her phone, not sure why, but she was really craving the sound of Alexander’s voice.

Before she even realized it, the call was already picked up.

Alexander’s smooth, low voice came through the speaker.

“Aren’t you in class?”

“I just missed you, hubby.

What’re you up to?”

Inside the Blake Group’s conference room, Alexander’s hand holding the phone froze for a second.

He swept his gaze over the table full of executives and calmly said, “Reading reports.”

The people at the table stared in stunned silence.

Mr.

Blake never answered his phone during meetings.

Today he not only answered—it was a lie.

And the tone of his voice?

Seriously, that was pure doting.

On the other end had to be a woman.

The execs were already whispering to each other, exchanging glances.

Peter, seated beside Alexander, watched the expressions of the group and couldn’t help but twitch at the corners of his mouth.

Smart move siding with the Mrs.

The call didn’t last long before Alexander hung up.

His face instantly returned to his usual impassive look, like that gentle moment never even happened.

“Let’s move on.”

But what stunned everyone even more was how smoothly the meeting went after that.

Alexander, who’d just rejected the proposal earlier, not only pointed out the issues but even gave the team three more days to fix them.

Back then?

He would’ve lost it on the spot.

Even after the meeting ended, most people were still dazed.

As Alexander walked out of the room, someone couldn’t help but ask, “Peter, who was on the phone with Mr.

Blake?”

“The Mrs.,” Peter replied casually, grabbing his files and heading out.

The stunned stares behind him said it all.

As soon as Alexander got back to his office, Peter hurried in after him.

“Mr.

Blake, something happened to your wife.”

“What happened?”

Peter handed him the phone.

After he watched the video, Alexander’s face turned dark.

He thought back to Elizabeth’s call just now—

Wait…

“Who posted that video?”

“I’ve already had IT look into it.”

Just as he finished speaking, a knock came at the door.

“Come in.”

One of the tech guys stepped in.

“Peter, we’ve traced the IP address.”

Peter placed the laptop in front of Alexander.

After browsing through the information, Alexander’s expression relaxed a little.

“Head over to Halden University.”

“Yes, sir.

I’ll get things ready.”

Just as those words left Peter’s mouth, the door was pushed open again.

“Hey, Blake, your little drama queen stirred up trouble again.”

Alexander shot him a cold look and walked past without a word.

“Hey, where’re you off to?”Andrew looked at him, clearly exasperated.

“Mr.

Campbell, where else do you think we’d go?”

…

Elizabeth sat in the office for an hour, scrolling through her phone, watching the video gain traction online.

A faint smirk tugged at her lips.

The office door creaked open, and when she looked up, she saw the headmaster of Halden University stepping inside.

She stood up politely.

“Principal.”

“You were the one who posted that video online?”

Elizabeth nodded.

“Yes, I did.”

“Did you even stop to think about the fallout?

Martin’s got connections, and your family…

well, you’re in no position to go up against him.

I’ve been friends with your father for years, but if Martin decides to retaliate, I won’t be able to protect you.”

She caught the warning hidden in his tone, and her expression stayed steady.

“A man like Martin doesn’t deserve to be an assistant principal here.

I’m going to make sure he pays for what he’s done.

“He started this.

I’m not backing down for someone like him.”

“But your family’s situation isn’t what it used to be.

This could have consequences beyond you — your parents could get dragged into it.”

“I’ll take full responsibility.

This is my fight.”

The principal let out a tired sigh.

“And you’re willing to throw away your future for a scumbag like him?”

“For justice?

Yeah, I am.”

“Elizabeth, go lay low for a bit.

Word is, Spencer’s in pretty bad shape.

He’s not going to let this slide.”

Before he could finish, a sharp, shrill voice interrupted from beyond the doorway.

“Lay low?

Run off now, just because she’s hurt someone?

Not a chance!”

A short, heavyset woman in a blue dress stormed in with narrowed eyes locked on Elizabeth.

“So you’re the little witch who wrecked my husband’s future?

Let’s see if I don’t rip you apart right here!”

She charged at her.

“Mrs.

But Elizabeth didn’t step back.

She waited, calm and steady.

There was a loud smack.

But instead of hitting Elizabeth, the slap landed right on Victoria’s cheek.

Elizabeth’s expression darkened as she stared at Victoria, who had darted forward out of nowhere.

Now what nonsense was she up to?

Mrs.

Spencer snarled, staring Victoria down.

“Who the hell are you supposed to be?

Think you can stop me from handling this brat?”

“Mrs.

Spencer, if you’re upset, take it out on me.

I can’t let you hurt my sister,” Victoria replied.

“Sister?

What a joke.

This little tramp seduced my husband then had the nerve to cripple him.

You think I’ll just let that go?”

“Mrs.

Spencer, we’re covering Mr.

Spencer’s medical bills.

And honestly, he started it.

What my sister did was self-defense.”

Elizabeth: “…”

What the hell was she talking about?

Was she actually trying to help or sabotage her?

Elizabeth yanked her aside and spoke icy-cold.

“Don’t think I owe you just because you took a slap for me.

Get out of my way.”

Tears instantly welled up in Victoria’s eyes.

“Liz, I heard Mr.

Spencer’s injuries are serious…

maybe just apologize?

If you end up expelled, our parents will be heartbroken.”

Just listen to her—acting all concerned, but every word was pushing her to just give in and settle things quietly.

Well, sorry, but Elizabeth wasn’t the type to keep her head down.

Thanks to Alexander, Harper Co.

was already getting back on its feet.

But to these people, she was still some pitiful thing on the verge of falling apart.

Not a single one of them took her seriously.

“So what if I get expelled?

Martin is a disgusting excuse for a human, and I won’t stop until he’s kicked out of Halden University for good.”
