Mrs.
Spencer lunged at Elizabeth, but before she could get close, Elizabeth flipped her over her shoulder, slamming her to the floor.
The pain had Mrs.
Spencer down for a while.
“A female student at Halden University seducing a teacher and getting violent?
Is there no justice anymore?
I’m calling the cops, I’m gonna sue you for assault!” she screeched as she scrambled back to her feet.
“Go ahead,” Elizabeth said coolly.
“You little tramp!
Do you even know who I am?
I’m Mrs.
Reed’s sister!
Messing with me?
I’ll make sure you regret it!”
Elizabeth took a step closer, towering over her, and gave a mocking smile.
“So what if you’re related to the Reeds?
Their family runs Halden now or something?”
That one line wiped all the color off Mrs.
Spencer’s face.
Right then, a teacher at the door spoke up.
“Principal, Mr.
Blake from Blake Corporation just arrived.”
At those words, everyone turned toward the door.
“You mean Blake Corporation from two years ago?”
“Who else could it be?
I went to an event with my dad and saw him once.
Seriously, he’s crazy handsome—total dream guy.”
The murmuring around her reached Elizabeth’s ears loud and clear, which made her frown slightly.
Did he really come here for her?
Once the principal left, students and teachers who had gathered started to disperse.
Elizabeth watched them leave, speechless.
Apparently, Alexander’s entrance was even more buzzworthy than the drama she stirred up.
Victoria leaned in and whispered, “Aren’t you going?”
Ignoring the look in her eyes, Elizabeth walked straight out of the office.
Out on the field, a bunch of students who didn’t have class were already gathered.
Standing in the middle of the crowd, Alexander exuded an overwhelming chill that made people instinctively keep their distance.
The principal dashed over to greet him, nothing but respect on his face.
“Mr.
Blake, if I’d known you were coming, I’d have come to meet you.”
Alexander’s cool gaze swept past the crowd and locked onto Elizabeth.
His eyes sized her up for a moment before he finally turned to answer the principal.
Just then, Mrs.
Spencer burst into loud sobs and rushed forward.
“Principal, this can’t stand!
My husband deserves justice!
That shameless woman shouldn’t be allowed to stay here!”
“Mrs.
Spencer, maybe you should head home first.
We’ll handle Mr.
Spencer’s medical costs.”
Alexander’s brows knitted slightly.
“What happened here?”
Seeing how respectful the principal was toward Alexander, Mrs.
Could this be the major shareholder her husband mentioned?
With that thought, she jumped in before the principal could speak.
“My husband Martin is the director of Halden University.
That woman deliberately tried to seduce him and attacked him!
I demand justice—she should be expelled!”
As she ranted, Alexander’s face grew visibly darker, bit by bit.
But with the sun in her eyes, Mrs.
Spencer didn’t notice how cold his expression had gotten.
She even hugged herself and muttered, “Why does it feel so chilly?”
Everyone around noticed the shift in Alexander’s mood and fell silent.
His gaze returned to Elizabeth.
His voice was cold, casual: “You hurt Martin?”
“Yeah,” Elizabeth replied without blinking.
“He crossed a line a teacher never should.
Honestly, I went way too easy on him.”
The crowd collectively gasped.
That tone?
Pure confidence and no regrets.
Alexander curled his lips slightly, glanced sideways at the principal, and asked, “Mind explaining what’s going on here?”
Emily had just finished class.
As soon as she heard Alexander had arrived, she rushed over.
“Mr.
Blake, Martin tried to mess with Elizabeth.
She was just defending herself.
That perv even installed cameras in his office—what a creep!”
She handed her phone to Alexander.
He didn’t take it, just gave the screen a glance.
“Mr.
Wright, this is your idea of managing Halden University?
I didn’t invest all that money so you could harbor scum like him.”
With that one sentence, Alexander basically declared Martin guilty of harassing a student.
“I’m sorry, Mr.
Blake.
This is my responsibility,” the principal said nervously, head down.
Mrs.
Spencer looked stunned.
“It was that woman who seduced my husband…”
Before she could finish, Alexander shut her up with just one cold glance.
Elizabeth stood quietly, her gaze fixed on him from a short distance away.
Emily nudged her.
“Elizabeth, didn’t you see all those girls checking out your husband?
You’re not gonna do something?”
“He’s probably here on business.
Wouldn’t it look weird if I just walked up?”
“Weird, my foot.
Go over there and claim your man!”
Saying that, Emily gave her a push.
As they got closer to Alexander, she gave Elizabeth a sudden shove.
Caught off guard, Elizabeth stumbled right into Alexander.
He reacted quickly, catching her in his arms.
He looked her over, and in a low voice right above her head asked, “Are you okay?”
Elizabeth straightened up and stepped back a bit, looking up at him.
“I’m fine.”
The crowd around them went totally silent.
After a few beats, a girl muttered bitterly, “Seriously? Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.
Elizabeth is shameless.
Flirting with Mr.
Blake right in front of us?”
Alexander’s gaze flashed cold as it landed on the girl.
Terrified, she immediately clammed up.
Mrs.
Spencer, seeing the look on Alexander’s face, thought he was mad because Elizabeth had touched him.
She quickly jumped in.
“Mr.
Blake, my husband’s innocent.
Look at this tramp trying to seduce you in broad daylight.
She’s obviously a total—”
Alexander’s fists clenched at his sides, eyes icy as he cut her off.
“Is that so?
Then let’s have him explain it properly—behind bars.”
Right then, Martin’s voice shouted out in protest nearby, “You’ve got the wrong guy!
I didn’t do any of it!”
“Save it.
The evidence is solid,” one of the officers said flatly.
Mrs.
Spencer’s face turned pale.
“What?
Martin, what’s going on?
Why are they arresting you?”
An officer turned to the principal and said, “We’ve received multiple reports.
Over the past few years, Mr.
Martin has not only harassed and threatened female students but also took bribes, aided by Mrs.
Spencer.
The evidence has been verified.
We’ll need you to come with us as a witness, Principal.”
With that, another officer stepped forward and handcuffed Mrs.
Spencer, too.
The principal looked horrified.
He sneaked a glance at Alexander before nodding.
“Understood.
I’ll come with you.”
“We didn’t do it!
Mr.
Blake, please, I’m begging you.
Let me go.
I was wrong!” Martin shouted desperately.
Mrs.
Spencer stood frozen, in complete shock.
Peter glanced at the students surrounding them.
“We’ll be releasing evidence soon about everything Martin did here over the years.
Mr.
Blake won’t let anything like this happen again.
And if anyone dares to spread lies about Ms.
Harper or this school, you can guess what’ll happen—same ending as Spencer.”
Alexander gave Elizabeth one last glance, then turned and left as calmly as he came, like he had only dropped by to clean up this mess.
