I had only swallowed the pill less than 4 hours ago, yet all the visible wounds were gone, leaving behind faint marks that looked like they could easily be covered with concealer.

“Is this some sort of magic?!” I shouted at the system.

[The higher the grade, the stronger the results.]

”Ohhh…” I said nodding my head slowly.

“So that’s why the pill had a Grade A tag next to it.” I leaned closer to the mirror, tilting my head.

“Do you have concealer, a makeup pouch, or anything I can buy right now?”

[Loading system market…]

[Available items:]

• Make up kit (Grade B) – 30 system points.

• Make up kit (Grade C) – 20 system points.

• Make up kit (Grade D) – 15 system points.

I looked through the list tapping my chin lightly.

“What’s in the Grade D Make up kit?”

[Foundation, concealer, blush, mascara, eyeshadow, tinted lip balm, a makeup sponge, and a powder brush.]

“That’s reasonable I suppose, can I see my profile first?”

I stared blankly at the profile and sighed.

“Fine, I’ll buy the Grade D Make up kit”

[Acquiring Makeup Kit (Grade D…]

[Ding!

Make up kit successfully acquired!

“Hand it over.”

A black leather cosmetics bag suddenly materialized on the vanity with a small click.

I unzipped it, pulled out a tube of concealer and a damp sponge, and dabbed small dots over the remaining faint marks until my skin appeared entirely flawless.

Stepping over to the bed, I picked up the new phone, tilted my head toward the natural afternoon light, and snapped a series of headshots.

I picked a few that looked really good and sent them over to Mirelle Beauty’s social media account with a short polite greeting.

“I hope they reply soon,” I muttered, grabbing a damp cotton pad to wipe the concealer of my face.

Before I could even finish cleaning up, my phone buzzed and a message popped up from the Mirelle Beauty staff.

“Good afternoon Ms.Eliana.

We’re pleased to inform you that you’re appearance matches the theme we’re preparing for the advertisement.

Please send us more information about yourself and come directly to our office tomorrow at 10AM, at 123 Elm Street, Springfield, IL 62701.

We look forward to seeing you.

Sincerely,

Isabel Gomez.”

My hands shook as I nearly dropped the device.

“AAAHHH!” I shrieked, springing off the mattress so fast the vanity chair scraped hard against the floorboards.

I began pacing back and forth across the rug, gnawing on my thumbnail.

“What do I do?

What do I do?!” A standard response in this industry took days not minutes.

[Host, you can start by creating your CV and sending it to them.]

”Right!

A CV!

I need a CV!” I froze mid-step, the panic setting right back in.

“Wait…

what am I supposed to write about Eliana’s background?

My memories of her past are completely scrambled!”

[Would like me to create a formal CV based of Eliana’s background, Host?]

[There will be a small fee of $15.]

“Yes, please.

Do that!” I blurted out without a second thought.

[Ding!

Drawing $15 from Host’s balance!]

A glowing panel appeared in front of me, text forming line by line as if an invisible hand was typing it out.

Within seconds, a neat and professional CV appeared on the screen, far better than anything I could have written on my own.

I stared at the screen, my jaw dropping slightly.

“Holy crap…

this is better than anything my old agency ever put together for me.”

[Transferring document to Host’s device…]

A sharp chime rang out, and a PDF file appeared in my phone’s downloads folder.

Without delaying a second, I attached the file, hit send on the reply to Isabel Gomez, and threw myself back onto the bed, staring at the ceiling as my stomach let out a loud, rumbling growl. The source of this chapter is g.com.

”…I’m starving.”

Grabbing my phone, I left the bedroom, and took the elevator down to the main foyer, luckily I spotted one of the housemaids adjusting a few flowers beside the staircase.

”Excuse me!”

The maid turned instantly, bowing slightly.

“Mrs.

Blackwood.”

A slight heat flushed my cheeks at the title.

“Do you know where Damien is?”

”The Young Master is currently working in his study,” she replied politely.

”Where is the study?”

She paused for a fraction of a second before pointing down the hallway.

“Follow the main corridor; it is the second door on your right.”

”Thanks!” I hurried down the hallway until I reached a set of heavy double doors.

I gave two quick knocks and pushed the door open before waiting for a response.

Damien was seated behind a desk, with glasses resting on the bridge of his nose as he scanned a stack of financial reports with razor-sharp focus.

Wow, so men really do look the most handsome when they’re working.

I cleared my throat, taking a couple of steps into the room.

“Damien?”

His head snapped up, a flicker of surprise flashing on his face.

“Eliana?

Is something wrong?”

”Nope!

Nothing is wrong,” I said cheerfully, pulling out the armchair directly opposite his desk and sitting on it.

He lifted an eyebrow, setting his pen down on the table.

“If nothing is wrong, why are you here?”

”I’m hungry.”

He blinked, staring at me in complete silence.

“…What?”

”I’m hungry,” I repeated, resting my chin in my hands and looking at him with utter seriousness.

Damien pinched the bridge of his nose, pulling off his glasses with a slow sigh.

“I don’t understand.

Did the kitchen staff refuse to serve you?”

”Nope.

I didn’t ask them.”

He stared at me like I had just spoken in riddles.

“Then what are you doing here?”

”I wanted to eat with my husband,” I said, offering a wide, guileless smile.

“So, what’s for dinner?”
