“What exactly happened? What’s going on?”

At the head of the table, Old Master An, his hair graying, felt a sinking sensation in his heart as he watched his eldest son in such a furious state.

Could it be a problem with the business?

The rest of the An Family grew anxious as well.

Old Madam An pushed her chair back, walked over to An Minghe, and gently patted his back as she asked softly, “Minghe, what’s wrong?”

An Minghe took several deep breaths to keep himself from passing out from anger. He rubbed his face, forcing himself to calm down first.

After completely regaining his composure, he told the An Family about how tens of billions worth of An Corporation’s goods had been seized by Tangxi Li.

Instantly, an uproar broke out.

Previously, Tangxi Li had already shocked and infuriated the An Family by sabotaging the marriage alliance between the An and Ji families and then showing up at their doorstep to break two of An Qian’s ribs.

This news was undoubtedly adding fuel to the fire.

Although the failed marriage alliance had cost the An Family over a billion, for a family as wealthy and powerful as theirs, it was hardly worth mentioning.

But tens of billions in raw materials—that was a different matter.

Without the raw materials, the workshops couldn’t operate normally, leading to delays in product delivery.

If the products weren’t delivered on time, not only would the clients withhold the final payments, but they might also sue for breach of contract, which would mean paying double the compensation.

The losses would far exceed tens of billions.

What shocked the An Family even more was that the cargo ship had been guarded by layers of security, and due to the special, radioactive nature of the materials, they had even arranged for a special police team to escort it.

How could Tangxi Li possibly have such capabilities?

“Have you reported it to the police?” Old Master An asked with a grim expression.

An Minghe’s face turned ashen. “Yes, but investigating in the South Sea requires multiple layers of approval. I’m afraid that by the time the paperwork goes through, the raw materials will be long gone.”

The dining room fell into a terrifying silence.

It was only then that they realized they had invited a plague god into their midst.

After a moment, Old Master An spoke, “Go and capture her!”

The second son of the An Family looked frustrated. “Dad, we’ve been searching for days and haven’t found her!”

“Useless!” Old Master An scolded.

“I know where she is. I just found out today!” Gu Yuqing, realizing the stakes for the family, could no longer worry about alerting their target.

She quickly provided an address.

Meanwhile, Tangxi Li hung up the phone and was about to leave the restroom.

Suddenly, a plump, warm hand landed on her slender shoulder.

She turned around and saw a portly, middle-aged man reeking of alcohol grinning at her.

“Hey there, little lady, care for a drink? Come on, big brother’s treat.” The middle-aged man was heavily intoxicated, his words slurred.

The overwhelming smell of alcohol made Tangxi Li physically uncomfortable.

She quickly stepped back, freeing herself from the lecherous hand on her shoulder, and said coldly, “No need.”

The middle-aged man seemed to ignore her refusal, his eyes roaming over her brazenly.

Beautiful, so beautiful. He had noticed her the moment she was on the phone.

Her skin was so fair, and the tattoo on her back was enough to captivate his soul.

“Such a pretty little lady,” he praised, then coaxed with a smile, “Do you have a boyfriend? How about being big brother’s girlfriend? I’ll give you a million a month, buy you a car, an apartment, whatever bags or jewelry you want.”

As he spoke, he reached out to grab her.Tangxi Li nimbly sidestepped, evading his touch, a frigid word dripping from her throat, “Get lost!”

“Don’t be so heartless…” The middle-aged man persisted, quickening his pace to block her path at the restroom entrance.

“How about 2 million?” he bargained and lectured simultaneously, “You might never earn that much in your lifetime, little girl. You’re young now and might not understand the importance of money, but you’ll eventually realize that money is everything.”

Tangxi Li couldn’t be bothered with him, walking around him to continue on her way.

The middle-aged man grew irritated and reached out to grab her.

Tangxi Li’s cold eyes sharpened as she suddenly turned and kicked him squarely in the stomach.

Though slender-framed and appearing fragile, her strength was considerable—the single kick sent the middle-aged man stumbling back two meters.

His forehead slammed with a “thud” against the edge of the sink, sharp pain radiating through his body, sobering him up by seventy percent.

His fleshy face twisted into a vicious expression as he supported himself on the sink to stand, snarling sarcastically, “You bitch, acting all high and mighty? Dressed like that in a bar, aren’t you just here to pick up rich guys?”

Tangxi Li paused mid-step, a sudden murderous intent flashing in her eyes.

There were always such self-righteous men in this world, thinking that what women wore had anything to do with them.

They fantasize while slandering, using it to whitewash their own filth.

Utterly despicable!

She raised her hand and abruptly, slapped him hard across the face.

“Smack!” The creep took the full force of the slap, his rotund body stumbling in circles from the impact before crashing headfirst into the restroom wall.

“Ah—” he screamed, catching sight of an empty liquor bottle nearby in his peripheral vision. Malice surged within him, and in a fit of rage, he grabbed it and hurled it at Tangxi Li.

But just as it left his hand, the empty bottle was intercepted mid-air by a lean, powerful hand.

Then, before the middle-aged man could even process who it was in his shock, the bottle made a sharp U-turn and smashed into his head with lightning speed.

A loud “bang” echoed as the bottle shattered, glass fragments scattering like fireworks.

Caught off guard by the sudden event, Tangxi Li turned to avoid the flying shards.

But before she could move, a tall figure crossed in front of her, using his back to block all the glass fragments.

Surprised, she lifted her gaze to look.

And found that it was none other than the Third Master Yong she had just met.

The man stood against the light, a few strands of hair falling over his handsome brows.

His right hand, adorned with prayer beads, gripped a broken, sharp bottleneck—like a Buddha wielding a slaughtering knife.

Their eyes met without warning.

Time seemed to freeze.

Yong Zhixu felt the surroundings sway and distort, vanishing before his eyes like a roller coaster.

In that space, only the person before him remained.

The crisp scent of jasmine from her drifted into his breath.

An overwhelming sense of destiny crashed over him, submerging him completely.

He snapped back to reality, looking around in confusion.

The lights, the sink, the hand dryer… everything was still there.

Was it an illusion?

“Are you hurt?” he asked gently, masking his momentary lapse.

Perhaps not expecting his appearance and assistance, Tangxi Li paused briefly before replying calmly, “I’m fine.”

Behind them, the middle-aged man clutched his head and wailed in agony.

Warm blood gushed through his fingers, streaming down, covering his eyes and smearing across his face.He removed one hand and brought it before his eyes. Instantly, his face turned deathly pale, a mix of shock and fury. Pointing at Yong Zhixu, he shouted, “Guards! Someone here is trying to kill me! Help—someone, come quickly—”
