The sound drew service staff rushing into the corridor, while passing guests stopped to gather around.

Chen Zui, who had come out searching for someone, squeezed through the crowd to confront the middle-aged man. Seeing Tangxi Li present along with his third brother—who held a broken liquor bottle—it was clear who had struck the man.

Startled, Chen Zui asked, “Third Brother, what happened?”Full novel: Refreshing! She Takes Revenge While He Hands Over the Knife, the Buddha Child is Both Tempted and Flirtatious — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Yong Zhixu succinctly explained how the middle-aged man had harassed Tangxi Li.

Clutching his head, the middle-aged man shouted back, “You’re twisting the facts! It was this bitch who tried to seduce me because she saw I had money—wanted me to be her sugar daddy. When I refused, she tried to kill me!”

He then turned to the onlookers, “Don’t be fooled by her act of innocence! She was downright vulgar when she came onto me. These gold diggers will do anything for money—no shame at all.”

His words instantly shifted the crowd’s perception of Tangxi Li from confusion to contempt, with some even pulling out phones to record.

Noticing the recording, Yong Zhixu shot Chen Zui a glance.

Understanding immediately, Chen Zui stepped forward, snatched the phone, and smashed it violently on the ground.

“Record this, you bastards! Scram! Anyone who values their life, get lost now!” he roared.

The service staff quickly dispersed the crowd.

One attendant approached Chen Zui, bowing slightly, “Young Master Chen, should we call the police?”

Chen Zui glanced at Tangxi Li, whose expression was frosty, then at the bleeding middle-aged man. “No need. Just call an ambulance.”

After the attendant left, Chen Zui approached the middle-aged man with a sarcastic smirk. “You claim she seduced you?”

The man puffed out his chest defiantly, “Of course she did.”

“Heh heh heh…” A low chuckle escaped Tangxi Li before Chen Zui could react.

Tilting her head slightly, she stared vacantly yet piercingly at the pathetic man, her lips curling into a wicked, morbid smile.

She advanced step by step, her high heels crunching over shattered glass—each crisp echo unnervingly clear in the silent restroom.

Alarmed by her approach, the middle-aged man retreated two steps. “What are you doing? Stay ba—”

Before he could finish, Tangxi Li’s foot slammed into the flesh between his legs.

“Ah—!” He instantly doubled over, clutching his crotch with a piercing shriek.

But Tangxi Li didn’t stop. A second kick, then a third—each strike ruthless and sharp—until he collapsed into a corner.

The slender heel of her shoe pressed elegantly against the carotid artery in his neck.

One slight movement, and the heel could pierce the artery, ending his life.

Yet, the fool remained oblivious to the danger.

He spewed threats, “You bitch! Do you know who I am? If you don’t stop now, I’ll make you disappear from the capital!”

“Heh… Who disappears first remains to be seen.” Tangxi Li’s smile grew even more deranged, her cool eyes blazing with violence and exhilaration, sending chills down the spine.

She gathered force in her foot, ready to deliver the final blow.

Unexpectedly, an empty liquor bottle suddenly appeared before her.

A voice as gentle as spring breeze whispered by her ear, “Use this.”

Raising an eyebrow, Tangxi Li’s gaze traveled from the hand holding the bottle—adorned with Buddhist prayer beads—to the face of the person offering it.

The man wore a faint smile, resembling a Buddha holding a flower, his entire being exuding an ethereal purity untouched by worldly dust.

Yet his words wielded the power of life and death. He spoke with an air of nonchalance, “If he dies, I’ll take responsibility.”

Chen Zui, standing nearby: “???”

(Holy shit, holy shit, is Third Brother out of his mind? My law-abiding Third Brother, how could he say something like that?)

(I must have misheard, I must have!)

Tangxi Li, meanwhile, stared unblinkingly at Yong Zhixu.

As if trying to discern the sincerity and determination behind his words from his impeccably handsome face.

Yong Zhixu also gazed intently back at her.

The moment their eyes met, their energies aligned, their souls resonated.

After a moment, the corner of her lips curled into an ambiguous smile.

She’d seen plenty of living bodhisattvas, but a living King of Hell? That was a first.

“Thanks.” She leisurely took the empty liquor bottle.

In the next second, with lightning speed, she smashed it down on the bloody head of the despicable man below.

Without the slightest hesitation—decisive, ruthless, and brutal.

Bang! A satisfyingly crisp crack rang out.

The despicable man immediately lost consciousness.

Chen Zui was stunned once again. Good grief, one actually offered permission, and the other actually went through with it!

Without changing her expression, Tangxi Li used the tip of her shoe to lift the despicable man’s chin, lazily tilting his head left and right for a look.

“Passed out?” She sneered, her pupils icy cold. “How… fragile.”

“How disappointing.” She sighed with disinterest, tossed the shattered remains of the bottle into the trash, and walked to the sink to wash her hands.

The faint light fell on her fair back, where the vibrant red spider lilies seemed veiled in mist—aloof, enchanting, tempting one to reach out.

Yong Zhixu stared at those spider lilies, his gaze unfocused.

Realizing his impropriety, he quickly averted his eyes.

Only to meet Chen Zui’s meaningful look.

That expression seemed to say: I saw that.

Uncomfortable under his gaze, Yong Zhixu turned and strode out of the restroom.

Tangxi Li dried her hands with a paper towel, pulled out her phone from her clutch, and called all her bodyguards up to deal with the despicable man.

Chen Zui, as the bar owner, offered to handle it for her, but Tangxi Li refused.

She could manage her own affairs and preferred not to owe anyone favors.

By the time the ambulance arrived, the middle-aged man had long been dragged away by two bodyguards, his whereabouts unknown.

Chen Zui had no choice but to dismiss the medical personnel…

Tangxi Li leisurely returned to the private room.

As soon as she pushed the door open, she was met with a heavy, murderous atmosphere.

The room now held thirty-plus additional men, all burly and exuding menace—clearly trained fighters.

Yong Zhixu and the others sat on the sofa, their expressions calm, uniformly composed.

This was the confidence and courage bred from family background—unshaken in crisis, unfazed by change.

Only Zhou Zhou, now sobered up, showed some panic.

Seeing Tangxi Li return, he immediately shouted, “Run!”

The lead enforcer, Biao Ge, narrowed his eyes coldly and ordered in a low voice, “Grab her.”

The crowd surged forward, rushing toward the door to seize Tangxi Li.

But the poised woman calmly raised a hand, making a stopping gesture.

“No need to grab me. I’ll go with you.” Her tone was indifferent, as if the appearance of these men came as no surprise to her.

Hearing this, the enforcers halted, awaiting Biao Ge’s instruction.

Through the crowd, Biao Ge met Tangxi Li’s unruffled gaze.

In that single glance, he understood—this woman had anticipated this moment all along. He raised his chin and made a “please” gesture. “Then, after you.”
