Chapter 24: Dr. Diagnosis

Reincarnated as a damn planet

Retian’s progress was coming along nicely.

Liam watched the young man from afar, observing how much his abilities had improved since receiving the Daggers of Divinity. He no longer doubted that Retian would eventually complete his task, and perhaps, along the way, he would discover the true meaning behind the Entity’s command on his own.

"I think he’ll figure it out eventually."

Before leaving, Liam had also used Divine Communication to enter Retian’s dreams and teach him the Ten Rules of Ethics. They were simple principles: worship no other gods, create no idols, respect the divine name, honor one’s parents, do not murder, commit adultery, steal, lie, or covet what belongs to others, while setting aside a sacred day for worship.

With that finished, Liam turned away from Retian’s affairs.

His body slowly rose into the sky before he flew toward the horizon.

As he traveled, another thought suddenly crossed his mind.

"I wonder what’s happening with the Planetary Archive." He had been so occupied with Retian’s development that he had barely checked on the other creatures inhabiting the planet.

"System, open the Planetary Archive."

[Opening Planetary Archive.]

Several notifications immediately appeared before him.

[Calean’s descendants have conquered the underground.]

[Zillagod’s awakening is approaching.]

[Next Event: Yeti population approaching extinction.]

Liam stared at the first notification.

"Calean’s descendants?"

He paused. "Do you mean those ants?"

The System immediately responded.

[Affirmative.]

Liam’s eyes widened with curiosity.

"They survived? I really thought they were already dead."

[After your departure, Calean produced numerous offspring and successfully developed a new branch of ants.]

[The resulting colony evolved into a specialized species consisting of a single colony governed by one king, one queen, and three secondary queens.]

[Their physical capabilities greatly exceed those of ordinary ants.]

[The colony has also developed advanced subterranean adaptations, allowing its members to dig significantly deeper into the planet’s crust.]

Liam’s expression slowly brightened.

"So they actually evolved into something completely different."

He had originally regarded Calean and the ants as little more than an interesting experiment, yet generations had passed since he last paid attention to them.

"That’s actually really interesting."

He glanced toward the distant ground below. "I’ll check on them soon."

His attention then returned to the next notification.

"Zillagod?"

Liam’s expression became slightly confused.

"Wait, that giant scaly lizard?"

He remembered the enormous creature from long ago.

"The one that’s over a hundred meters tall?" Liam scratched his chin.

"I doubt he’ll be much of a threat."

Then his eyes moved toward the final notification.

"Yeti extinction?"

Liam stared at the notification for several seconds.

"I mean, I barely ever focused on them. I only saw them every once in a while."

His curiosity finally won over him. "System, specify the cause of their impending extinction."

[The Yeti population is declining due to their enormous body size and the extreme conditions of their snowy environment.]

[Their metabolic requirements have become increasingly difficult to sustain.]

[Additionally, several individuals entered hibernation and failed to awaken.]

Liam remained silent.

"Some of them... forgot to wake up?"

[Affirmative.]

Liam stared blankly into the distance. "That’s it?"

[That is the primary cause.]

He sighed.

"System, modify the Yeti species."

[Specify modification.]

"Reduce their average size to approximately twice the height of a human."

[Modification confirmed.]

[Applying evolutionary adjustment.]

Liam smiled. "There. Problem solved."

He glanced back toward the planetary archive.

With countless species evolving across the planet, he was beginning to realize that leaving everything unattended for too long could produce some rather unexpected results.

After finishing his inspection of the Planetary Archive, Liam decided to check another feature he had almost forgotten about.

The Chatroom. He opened the interface and was immediately greeted by a few familiar names.

Red Rings: Hello.

X_X: Hi. This will be the first time we’ve met, Red Rings. I’m new here.

Liam stared at the unfamiliar name.

"A new guy?" He paused for a moment. "His name is weird too."

Red Rings: Yes, nice to meet you.

Lynx: The chat became lively again. Oh, hi Red Rings. You barely check the chatroom.

Red Rings: I was immersed in my creations. I couldn’t even fully keep track of everything happening here, xd.

Lynx: I feel you. Anyways, how’s everyone’s progression going?

X_X: Currently, I’m mostly doing indirect manipulation to prevent my creations from killing themselves and causing their own extinction.

That sounded reasonable enough.

Before he could say anything, another message appeared.

Dr. Diagnosis: Oh, everyone is here, huh? I’m currently possessing one of my creations to teach them basic farming equipment.

Liam’s eyes widened slightly.

"This Dr. Diagnosis guy is surprisingly advanced." He leaned back and thought about it.

"Maybe I should start doing something similar."

Liam had mostly relied on observation, occasional divine intervention, and system abilities. Compared to Dr. Diagnosis, who was personally teaching his creations how to develop their civilization, he suddenly felt as though he had been neglecting his own creations.

Then Dr. Diagnosis sent another message.

Dr. Diagnosis: Did everybody set up a council with their creations?

The chat immediately became active.

Lynx: Council?

X_X: What do you mean?

Red Rings: What?

Liam stared at the screen. "A council?"

He waited for an explanation.

Dr. Diagnosis: Oh, it’s nothing particularly unique. I was sleeping on a hill when I suddenly remembered Asgard.

Dr. Diagnosis: That gave me an idea, so I decided to create my own version using Consciousness Space. I gathered all of my unique individuals from different races and brought them together.

Dr. Diagnosis: I then assigned them as representatives, allowing me to keep track of their civilizations without having to personally inspect every single one.

Liam’s expression slowly changed.

That was actually a brilliant idea.

Dr. Diagnosis: I’m recommending that all of you create one as well. It will make managing your creations considerably easier.

There was a short pause before another message appeared.

Dr. Diagnosis: I’m only telling you this because I consider you all future allies.

Liam stared at the message.

"Future allies?" The words caught his attention.

Until now, the chatroom had mostly been a place where they casually exchanged information, bragged about their creations, or occasionally asked each other questions.

But Dr. Diagnosis seemed to be thinking further ahead.

If they were all managing worlds filled with increasingly intelligent civilizations, eventually their creations would become powerful enough to interact with one another.

Perhaps creating a council now would make things much easier later.
