The air was breezing as Lenora and Emily got out of the bar, and the night was still young, so Emily decided to take Lenora out for a movie since it had been a while.

Lenora checked her phone—no call—before agreeing to the movie, since no one was at home waiting for her. So Emily went to get their hover car as Lenora waited on the street side.

Snow fell in small drops in the district. Lenora opened her hand as a small snowflake drifted lazily to her palm. It was cold to the touch. Well, snowflakes were supposed to be cold.Full novel: Reincarnated Immortal: Healing My Crippled Storm Saint Wife — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

As Lenora looked up to see the snow, the scene took her back to the time she was a Sword Saint. A being like her in this generation did not exist. Not really, and not in any generation. But she was that special—that one in a million with a Violet gate.

Most people just thought class was just that—class—but Awakened like her knew the difference between class and the rest. Besides, class was fixed. There was no changing it. Not really. Except for a beast who could change class based on the right conditions. But not humans.

Lenora clenched her fist.

And just because she was that special, it took everything away from her and left her broken. With nothing but a useless husband who didn’t call and this so-called leg.

Back then, she was a god. Beasts that were even one rank or two ranks higher were easy for her to beat, although two ranks higher was just a little—I mean, the beast in the vessel forest was two ranks higher and she couldn’t beat it, but still.

She was a Violet class Awakened, something that no one could achieve. And when she learned the truth about class, she understood her power. But now she had nothing. Even death did not feel good enough for her crimes.

Just then, a hover car appeared in front of her as Emily got down to put Lenora inside the car before putting the wheelchair in the car’s pocket and hovering away.

As the car moved, Emily looked at Lenora, whose face was cold, and asked, "So let me guess, you were thinking about the old times, right?"

Lenora looked out the window with a sigh before saying, "You know, I had a dream once. About a world without death and destruction.

If we could find a way to take out all the beasts in the world and the system as well. And when I was a Violet class Awakened, I thought I could really do something, you know. But look where that got me."

The car was silent except for the hum of hover cars passing one by one. Emily looked at her and said, "Look, I don’t know what to say about that. And why did the conversation enter class, really, Lenora? Sorry, I didn’t mean to."

"Anyway, babe, the movie is going to be incredible. I can’t wait. I heard it came out last week."

With that, Lenora and Emily drove to the movie, hyping themselves up about their favorite movie prequel. There is a saying in Hollywood: a prequel or sequel of a great movie spoils both movies. And Lenora and Emily were about to learn that truth tonight.

Meanwhile, Rain was learning why the class difference mattered as she dodged a moving blast heading toward her face. She used a tree branch to launch herself away from the blast as she moved.

What the hell. It almost killed her.

But just as she was about to run, she felt a huge explosion behind her as the aftershock sent her flying through trees one after another, each impact destroying a tree—boom, boom—before she reached the edge of the island as the shockwave sent her out of the boundary of the island.

As Rain left the island, she looked down where another island was approaching. The air was streaming through her face as she fell, her hair everywhere. Just then, Rain felt a shadow behind her, and she looked up. There it was—the shadow was the island itself, tilting toward her.

Every island in this breach had a gravitational force, but after that blast, the island’s gravity had gone out of control, she thought as she watched the massive float land begin to tilt toward her.

As she looked up at the island, the beast—the bastard—was standing there, its mouth open as it looked at her. The wolf moved and released a ball of energy toward her.

Rain was caught off guard. There was nothing in the air she could use to twist her momentum. The blast was coming for her whether she liked it or not.

Just then, she felt a pull as a hand grabbed her cloth. Before she could react, she felt the world twist a bit before she found herself back on the ground, and as she looked up, a man with glasses was looking back at her.

"Wow, Rain. Long time no see."

But before the man could react, the scar he had created exploded, sending the man—Sen—and Rain flying and crashing into a tree.

Just then, the scar grew big as a paw stuck out of it. Sen was shocked, but before he could react, the beast opened the wound and entered to where Sen and Rain were.

"What the hell? That is impossible."

Rain shook her head. "No, it’s not. It’s an Azure class beast."

Sen looked at her before looking at the beast. "What? And why would you anger the beast?"

Rain was speechless. "How was I supposed to know a beast like that was in this breach? Besides, all I did was land on the island. I didn’t know I would wake it."

"Yeah, yeah," Sen said. "I know saving you was going to bring trouble, and why did I do it?"

With that, he moved his blade, and Rain called hers.

"Well, there are two islands down before you reach the breach, and we can’t have something like that escaping, so you will deal with it, and I will help."

Rain nodded. "Okay."

Just then, an energy ball was moving toward Sen, and he used his blade to slash the air twice as two portals opened. The first was where the ball entered, and the second was where the ball went back to as it blasted the beast back. The beast was able to sidestep it before looking at them with two meals in its eyes.

That was when it got aggressive. The air around it grew heavy and pressure was released. Its claws grew a bit and started to glow like the light of a sun.

Seeing this, Rain reacted as lightning cracked around her hand before cracking all around as the lightning moved through twenty meters of her surroundings, turning into a lightning storm all around her. Lightning Space opened.

That was when the pressure was released, and all around twenty meters of Rain was both bright with lightning. The trees, plants, and grass around her were reduced to nothing as the beast and Rain were about to fight.
