" Alright, alright, I will dance. Now, will you let me out?" Karna agreed, at least for now. He would think about what to do later.

"Nope..." But all three just shook their heads.

"You will trick us and run away. We won’t fall for your lie this time." Priti said, grinning at him, as if she was really sure that we wouldn’t go anywhere while they were holding him.Full novel: Reincarnated In a World Similar To Mythology — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

That’s what he gets after tricking them so many times. Well, he was planning to run, and still going to run away.

"Hehe, well, you caught me this time, but next time..." He slapped the water’s surface, throwing the river water at them. They let him go and covered their face with their arms while closing their eyes.

"Ah, you!"

"Karna!!"

But when they opened their eyes and looked back. Karna wasn’t there anymore.

"He ran away again?! "

They shouted, looking around. This was not the first time he disappeared like this.

It’s like he knew Maya. (Magic)

Looking around, they didn’t see him, but saw his clothes. Their eyes widened; as always, he was really clumsy. He ran away naked.

They looked at each other, then shouted together.

"O Karna, at least wear your clothes!!"

Without being noticed by anyone, Karna appeared on the other side of Lysa and kissed her on the cheek.

"I will dance for you, but some other time. I promise."

Everyone turned toward his voice, but it was too late; he wasn’t there, and when they looked back toward his clothes, it was also gone.

Lysa touched her cheek and smiled.

"Sister Lysa, why are you smiling? When he ran away!" Mina said,

"He promised he would dance for us some other time," Lysa replied, carrying the same smile on her face.

Mina pouted. "Don’t believe him. He was a liar and won’t honor his word. Right, Priti... huh? Why was your face so red?"

"N-nothing... just hot weather." Priti’s hand was on her hip. She just got smacked without anyone noticing for bringing up the dance topic.

Though they got it wrong, Karna didn’t know Maya. Though he did have something special, something much better than the normal Maya that village people were aware of.

The glowing golden earring disappeared from his ear. This was the cheat code he possessed over normal humans and gods.

He was born with divine armor and earing which were made of the Amrit- the nectar of immortality.

According to mythology, his divine armor provided him absolute weapon immunity and infinite durability, meaning no physical attack can harm him.

Immortality, no aging, no diseases; until he was wearing this, he couldn’t die, get sick or grow old, and no poison would work on him.

No hunger, Thirst, or Fatigue means he can fight infinitely long without breaking a sweat.

Automatic protection: all of those abilities were passive; he didn’t need to activate them, which means sneak attacks won’t work on him either.

And his divine earring provided him.

Second layer of immortality: even if somehow his armor was gone, he would still be immortal; though now he could be hurt, he would keep healing infinitely- with instead regeneration.

Divine hearing: simply, he could hear and understand the language of the Gods. Not only that; he could spy on them even if they were in heaven, but only if they were talking about something related to him. Earrings also enhanced his normal hearing, and he can’t be tricked by lies.

Immunity from Maya means no illusions; no magic works on him either.

Charm: it gives him eternal beauty. And no dirt stays on him; he would always be as fresh as if he just bathed.

Complete pain immunity. He will feel no pain from any wound.

Connection with the sun: it gives armor some heating ability, and the Sun God, Karna’s godfather, could speak directly into his ears. And he spoke with him when Karna was seven years old; like, son, it was a bad thing, stuff. But Karna said fuck of don’t teach your dad and it looked like that buddy got offended and never spoke again.

And no one can take his armor and earrings from him until he give it himself of his own free will.

Anyway, so all in all, while he was wearing his divine earrings and armor, the Yama- the God of Death can’t even take his soul.

But he was still not invisible. Supreme gods can still kill him. A strong opponent can imprison him. And curses still work on him.

Anyway, he will think about those things later; right now he needs to go and see his so-called father.

Karna wore his white dhoti, standing under the shade of the tree — a dhoti was cloth that men wear on their lower body— (pic)

At the river shore Karan had literally forgotten to wear his clothes.

He would have gone naked if they didn’t call him back, but it wouldn’t be a big problem. It’s not like this world had social media or anything where his picture would go viral. And it’s not like the villagers never saw him naked before. Karna really didn’t care if someone saw him naked.

Priti, Mina, Lysa called him because they didn’t want more women to get seduced by him.

He smiled.

Seriously, I’m a lady killer. Anyway, let’s see what my so-called father did.
