It is so bright out there.

I wonder what has happened.

I remember it was night time a few minutes ago, so why is it so bright now?Full novel: Reincarnated to Be The King : Rise — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Am I in the hospital?

It doesn’t look like it.

I can hear some people talking around.

It’s a language I know but I don’t speak it.

It’s all a bit difficult to understand right now.

It’s hard to exactly make out what they are saying, but I think they are congratulating someone.

Why are they?

It looks like someone just had a child right now and they are celebrating.

It’s a good thing.

Someone is coming here.

They are coming near me.

Oh, looks like they are going to give me some medicine.

Eh?

They picked me up in their hands right now.

How?

Oh…

now that I look around closely, my body has shrunken to the size of a baby.

That can only mean one thing.

It seems that I have reincarnated.

It is going to be fun , almost everybody wishes to be reincarnated back on earth and I have got that wish come true for me , hahahaha (laughing internally)

Looking around, I think the world is in a medieval era.

I think I am reincarnated as the child of someone high up in the social ladder, maybe some sort of big noble, as I can see around me how there are so many maids rushing against each other, and a high-class lady who is my mother, I suppose, sleeping on that bed near mine.

But why am I crying?

I’m trying to speak here, so why is it coming out like a baby’s cry?

I guess the body has not developed a voice box yet, so all I can do is cry for now.

I suppose I can figure out my situation based on the talks of these maids for now.

Hearing them talk, I think I am a prince.

I guess my number is way down the line like my mother’s is.

She is not the queen but a concubine, I believe, that too way down the line.

Hearing those maids , I now know that

I am the 33rd Prince.

A few days have passed since the birth of the 33rd Prince, and no one has come to offer their wishes.

Not even the king, I believe, has come to see me.

Why?

Because I hold no importance.

I am way down the line.

Obviously he doesn’t like my mother, and he already has 32 capable sons other than me.

Or is there some war going around and the king is busy in it?

Maybe he visited me when I was asleep.

This childish body sleeps 20 hours a day, leaving way too little time to work with.

I think the maids that day were special because I haven’t seen them around lately.

A few young ones come around occasionally, and this man is here 24×7 to serve anything my mother wants.

I wonder who he works for—my mother or the king.

I have now finally learned my name.

Adrian Valcrest.

33rd son of the King Valcrest, whose name I don’t know till now because no one takes it.

I don’t even know my mother’s name so far as nobody has called her by her name.

But this butler here is Ronald.

I don’t think he has a surname.

He is very capable, making me believe that he has a common background rather than a noble one, and he doesn’t have a surname, which almost confirms that this man is a commoner and my mother does not have a very good background.

I guess there really is a war going around because nobody here has seen the king for the last seven months, I suppose.

Everybody has been on edge because I think they are losing it, and they think the blame will come on me as being someone of ill omen whose birth made the kingdom lose the war.

The butler Ronald is very religious.

He prays to the gods twice a day for the king to either win the war or for him to forget about my existence.

That way I won’t be blamed even if they lose the war.

I guess this is a medieval world through and through.

Obviously, in modern society no one would believe any such thing, even if the child was born during an eclipse.

But here we are.

It shows the lack of scientific knowledge of the people of this world.

Of course they are dominated by religious dogmas to the point where, if some priest blamed someone for simply being born at a bad time, they would burn them, no questions asked—or so I think.

The butler’s actions reveal two things: either he works for my mother, or he has grown fond of her like family.

Maybe he was her butler since her childhood.

I have no way of confirming that for now.

But it seems my mother has fallen ill after my birth.

Her weight has reduced very much, and there is no proper doctor around to treat her well.

I think they are engaged in war…

Or she is simply forgotten by the king.

A few more months have passed, and the king has finally returned.

He was not victorious, and neither did he lose.

That’s why there was no victory banquet or ball, no blaming me for their loss…

Or maybe the king is a more rational man than I thought.

I am yet to see any signs of a power system in this world, but they have glowing stones here used at night to light places instead of candles, which means, like most fantasy stories on Earth, this world has the presence of mana.

I can believe that magicians exist.

So will swordsmen.

And saints.

But no saint came to heal my mother.

She has recovered very much from earlier but still spends most of the day resting.

I wonder what work she would even have, as there exists a servant here for everything.

Large trumpets were blown, making a loud sound announcing that the king was coming here.

Maybe on an official visit to the 33rd Prince.

One year since the war started.

There comes a man with aura oozing from his body.

Tall.

Muscular.

He seems like a man born to be king.

He is good-looking, no doubt about that, but he is fierce.

Maybe he is the angry but soft type.

The king asked the butler Ronald how old the prince was.

“Seven months, Your Majesty,” Ronald answered.

He looked at my mother and asked how long she had been ill.

After questioning Ronald for a while, he ordered a doctor to take care of her.

Then he picked me up in his arms.

I don’t think the king uses a sword.

His hands don’t feel like the type, but looking at his body, he has exercised regularly.

Which means he is either a magician…

Or the chief strategist himself.

He looked at me and said,

“He doesn’t seem fit to be a king, so there is no point wasting time bringing him up as one. As soon as he starts to talk, contact me. We will start his education to become a steward. He can become very useful to the one who becomes the next king.”

The king said so…

…and left.

How dare he.

How dare he underestimate me.

I don’t bow to anyone.

Not even the gods.

And yet this arrogant king thinks I am not even suited to become one .

No.

I will become the King.

And not by succeeding him…

But by removing him.

First time writing , Ignore the script world because that is still work in progress don’t know when it will be complete and this is my first so enjoy it and if you can support .
