ROSALIA’S POV
“Good, then you have nothing to worry about,” he said.
***************
The vision came to an end, and the heat left my hands.
A shiver went down my spine from how dark the whole vision was.
In such a terrifying situation, I can’t believe she was thinking of Helio.
That creepy Mendez touching her face.
She looked so terrified.
I wanted to puke on her behalf.
“Mendez comes in three days.” Is what Lorenzo had said earlier.
I guess Helio wasn’t lying about her.
I looked down at Lorenzo’s cuff link I still held onto.
My eyes narrowed as I zoned in on it.
I pocketed it, and I left the bathroom.
I returned to the sitting room, where two servants took me.
“This will be your room, ma’am,” one servant said when we arrived at the bedroom.
It was large and luxurious.
It was way better than anything I was given at my father’s home.
Speaking of him, I hoped Alphonso was torturing him right now for the wedding fiasco.
It was now late evening
They brought me dinner, prepared me for bed.
It wasn’t until I sat down that I finally internalized the day I’d had.
To think that I was about to marry Alphonso.
Now I was in a different pack.
I stared at the ceiling.
I took out the cufflink and inspected it once more.
Perhaps
I gripped Lorenzo’s cufflink tightly.
“Come on, give me a vision. Let me see what else he’s planning.” I begged.
Nothing happened.
Perhaps the object wasn’t the best for visions.
Maybe it had to be something more sentimental from the person?
But it worked earlier.
Why did it work then?
I gave up after a while and stared at the ceiling again.
What’s going to happen to me in the next couple of days?
Will Lorenzo eventually let me go?
Helio seems so sure of it.
And Alphonso, he talked about getting me back.
Had I bonded with David, things would have turned out completely differently.
Sure, I wouldn’t have left the Ramirez pack, but Alphonso would have reacted differently.
Patricia would take the brunt of the blame, claiming she promised to pay off his debts if he bonded with me.
Most importantly, David is a low-rank sentinel.
Alphonso wouldn’t have felt threatened.
Their involvement directly challenged Alphonso.
I was terrified of what that would encourage him to do.
I’ll also need to contact David soon so I can give him his cut as I promised.

ALPHONSO’S POV
My mind was spinning, and my vision seemed to blur.
The humiliation I felt as I watched Alpha Salvador walk out with Rosalia.
I wanted to fight to keep her.
What’s worse, he’d completely blocked the possibility of starting a war.
I couldn’t understand how things had gone so wrong.
At each step of uncovering the disaster, it just got worse and worse.
Patricia’s deception, then Rosalia bonding, to getting taken from.
“I apologise, Alpha Ramirez,” the temple keeper said and walked out of the dressing room with the temple sentinels.
My hands clenched into fists as I watched them leave.
“Alpha, what do we do about the rest of the ceremony and the guests?” My Beta and PA, Sebastian, asked.
He pulled me out of my thoughts and I recalled the
“Tell all the guests to leave,” I ordered him.
The whole fiasco had cut the celebration short.
We should be having the wedding lunch now!
To think this planning had amounted to nothing.
“Yes, Alpha,” he accepted and left the room.
I was going to follow after him and contain the scene.
Patricia and her parents were still in the dressing room.
I paused and looked at them once more.
Patricia looked distraught and shocked, as if oblivious of her own actions.
My blood was boiling just staring at her.
I wasn’t in the right state of mind to talk to her right now.
I didn’t want to act rashly.
I needed her healing, and she needed to be alive for a possible unbonding.
“Take them to the Ramirez estate now,” I ordered the sentinels in the room.
“I’ll deal with you later,” I hissed.
Patricia and Alpha Moncaro stared nervously.
“Alpha…” Patricia tried to speak up.
“I said I’ll deal with you later,” I yelled.
She trembled and lowered her head.
My men led them out.
I too left the room to see how the guests were being handled.
They were slowly leaving the temple.
The gossip was infuriating.
They all stared at me; it was obvious the news had already spread.
Every wolf in Spain was going to talk about this week!
Salvador, I’ll make you regret this.
“Find out how this happened!” I barked out orders at my sentinels and gamma attendants.
“How did the Sentinel from Salvador get involved? Did Patricia meet with the Salvadors? I want all the details.”
“Yes, sir!” They responded and spread out.
I returned to the dressing room, and the confrontation with the Salvadors replayed in my mind.
I carefully observed it.
Something was bothering me.
When I entered the room, there were two scents.
One was Rosalia’s scent.
And I concluded the other scent was from the Salvador sentinel.
But when I grabbed him, that second scent was not what I smelled off him.
In fact, he had no discernible scent at all.
So who did the scent belong to?
******************
It was evening when I arrived at the estate.
I felt my anger had finally settled.
I felt cool enough to talk to Patricia.
Seated at my desk, I ordered a servant to call her to my office.
“How did you change your voice?” I asked first.
I was so disturbed by how eerily she sounded like Rosa.
“I used my healing ability to manipulate my vocal cords,” she explained.
“Have you always been able to do this?”
“No, I discovered it from practicing with my ability.”
My jaw clenched as I glared at her.
“Where did you meet the Salvador sentinel?” I then asked her.
“I swear it, Alphonso. I never met or talked to them. It was my first time seeing them in that dressing room. All I did was steal her dress and lock her up.”
I felt her wolf panic from our bond.
My eyes narrowed.
Her version of events didn’t make sense.
“If you’re lying, Patricia, I’ll find out. It’s best if you tell me the truth now,” I threatened her.
“Please, Alphonso, you have to believe me.”
“If you insist on being stubborn, go ahead.”
She bit her lip.
“What did you think was going to happen when you stole Rosalia’s wedding?” I then asked her.
“Did you think I would be glad to see you or somet
“I just wanted you to see that I could be Luna as well,” she replied.
“When did I ever tell you that I wanted you as my Luna?”
Tears welled in Patricia’s eyes.
“So why did you sleep with me?”
“In what world does sex translate to making you a mate?” I asked her confused about how the two were correlated.
She sniffled, and her voice quivered.
“Is that all I was ever going to be?”
