Although the toxicity of the Jianshouqing was quite strong, the two of them luckily had not eaten much. After regaining consciousness and remaining under observation for a while, they were cleared for discharge.

Yan Mingyue sat obediently beside Gu Yuebai. He rested his chin on the car window and watched the vehicles speeding by, his thoughts already flying back home.

Jin Xi, who was driving, had peeked at them through the rearview mirror more than once along the way. It was unclear what he found so interesting to look at.Full novel: Report to the CEO: Your “White Moonlight” has Run Off with Your Body Double! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Gu Yuebai propped his head up with his hand and gazed at the heavy traffic outside.

The car came to a steady stop in the underground parking garage, and the tires made a sharp screeching sound against the smooth floor.

Yan Mingyue was startled by the sudden noise. His head slammed against the glass with a loud thud, and due to the equal and opposite reaction, he bounced back and crashed into Gu Yuebai.

“Jin Xi, are you trying to kill me? Do you even know how to drive?” He blurted out the words instinctively before realizing Gu Yuebai was right next to him. His dark, round eyes darted cautiously toward Gu Yuebai, who was currently rubbing his forehead in exasperation.

Gu Yuebai had a cold, fair complexion, which made the dark circles under his eyes appear even more prominent.

He had not slept well at all last night. Yan Mingyue’s sleeping posture could not exactly be called bad; it was simply far too clingy. He had held onto Gu Yuebai tightly and refused to let go. This morning, just as Yan Mingyue had finally settled down, Lu Beichen had arrived.

He was not working hard; he was simply suffering.

Jin Xi understood that he was in the wrong and kept his head down to admit his mistake.

Yan Mingyue was the type of person who would be even tougher if you were tough with him, but he would immediately lose his temper if you apologized sincerely.

Feeling that his scolding might have been a bit too harsh, he rubbed his nose awkwardly. “Fine, I forgive you. Let us go home.”

Gu Yuebai was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to get home quickly. Naturally, they went their separate ways.

Once Yan Mingyue returned home and lay on his sofa to watch anime, he finally remembered the custom cosplay costume he had ordered.

His original plan was to take cosplay photos on the first day of the holiday. He had not expected the accident involving mushroom poisoning to happen.

Yan Mingyue checked the time. It was just past noon, so there was still plenty of time to apply makeup and take photos.

He dug out a delivery box from a small corner of his wardrobe and opened it like a treasure chest. Inside lay a cosplay costume for the underground idol Luca along with a red wig.

Yan Mingyue took out his makeup kit and skillfully applied a Luca cosplay look before putting on the costume and wig with a neutral expression.

He used to be a bright, sunny boy who would blush at the mention of underground idols. However, under the repeated training of a certain eccentric senior, he had changed.

Once fully dressed, Yan Mingyue set up the camera and the timer. He lay on the bed and skillfully struck several poses with the same facial expressions as the character in the anime.

At the same time, Gu Yuebai lay on his bed and opened a video app. A photo that made his heart skip a beat immediately appeared before his eyes.

In the photo, a red-haired boy with flushed cheeks lay on a white bed. A black bodysuit tightly hugged his lean muscles. His hair was messy, and his eyes were filled with tears, yet his gaze remained stubborn and unyielding. It made one want to break his pride.

This person looked so familiar. Was it Yan Mingyue?

“Holy crap! That really is Yan Mingyue!” Having been a top student and a refined young master for over twenty years, Gu Yuebai swore for the first time. It was actually because of Yan Mingyue.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Yan Mingyue sat in front of the sofa eating instant noodles with satisfaction after posting his work. He had no idea of the impact his cosplay photo had caused.
