WHAM!
Before the Licker could comprehend what was happening, the discarded fire axe on the concrete floor flew upward like a missile, striking the monster under the jaw with brutal force.
The impact lifted the heavy creature off its feet, sending it crashing backward into the reinforced steel wall with a deafening screech, leaving a deep dent in the metal paneling.
“What’s going on?
Where are we?” Chu Feng rubbed his temples, looking around the shattered laboratory with a faint trace of disorientation.
He remembered passing out in the service duct, but the moment his consciousness returned, he had seen a hideous, skinless beast lunging at Alice.
Instinctively triggering his upgraded Magneto gene, he had used the ambient magnetic field to send the heavy axe flying, knocking the creature away in the nick of time.
“Chu Feng!” “Chu Feng!” Rain, Chad, and Matt shouted in sheer jubilation.
They had been on the absolute brink of total annihilation.
To see Chu Feng awaken at the critical second and effortlessly blast the terrifying monster across the room felt like nothing short of a miracle.
With Chu Feng on his feet, they were no longer helpless prey.
“Chu Feng!
You’re awake!” Alice stared at him, overwhelmed by relief.
Without a second thought, she threw her arms around his neck, burying her face against his chest in a rare burst of uninhibited emotion.
Chu Feng blinked, caught off guard by the sudden embrace.
The legendary agent—stunning, lethal, and usually composed—was clinging to him so tightly he could barely catch his breath.
“Ahem!” Matt, Rain, and Chad cleared their throats awkwardly, turning their heads slightly.
Hearing the coughs, Alice snapped back to reality.
Flustered, she quickly released Chu Feng, a faint flush rising to her cheeks.
Realizing she had lost her usual professional composure, she quickly smoothed her jacket and cleared her throat, her expression returning to a neutral mask.
“What happened back there?
You just collapsed out of nowhere.” “Whew…” Chu Feng gasped, drawing a deep breath of air now that his chest was free.
“It was…” ROAR!
Before he could explain, a guttural howl echoed across the room.
The Licker pushed itself out of the indented steel wall and shook its massive head.
Shockingly, its shattered jaw was already snapping back into place, the torn tissue knitting together in real-time.
The group’s faces paled as they watched the creature recover instantly.
“It can regenerate?!” Rain’s voice tightened with alarm.
“It broke through reinforced glass, took an axe to the throat, and it’s already healed?!” “A monster with that kind of speed, power, and cellular recovery…
normal firearms wouldn’t even scratch it!” Chad added, his hand gripping his pistol nervously.
Seeing the beast recover so effortlessly shook the team’s confidence once again.
Can even Chu Feng kill something that refuses to die?
“Everyone, stand back,” Chu Feng said calmly, stepping in front of the group.
Having successfully completed his Stage 2 genetic upgrade, his mastery over magnetic fields and physical metal had expanded exponentially.
He was eager to test the true upper limits of his enhanced abilities against a bioweapon of this caliber.
“Be careful,” Alice murmured softly, stepping back alongside Rain and Matt.
Chu Feng nodded, his gaze locked onto the creature.
In the original Resident Evil timeline, killing a fully mutated Licker without heavy ordnance or environmental hazards was nearly impossible.
He couldn’t afford to be careless.
Click…
click…
The Licker shifted its weight, lowering its center of gravity as its head tilted from side to side.
Lacking visual organs, it relied entirely on acute auditory perception—tracking atmospheric vibrations, footsteps, shallow breathing, and even the rhythmic beat of a human heart.
As long as Chu Feng’s heart continued to pump blood, the monster knew his exact position down to the millimeter.
Knowing time was running short before the Hive’s external locks engaged permanently, Chu Feng didn’t wait for the beast to strike.
He raised his right hand, unleashing a concentrated pulse of magnetic force.
SWOOSH!
SWOOSH!
SWOOSH!
Dozens of metal medical trays, scalpels, heavy steel chairs, and broken fixtures levitated into the air, turning into a rain of high-velocity projectiles aimed straight at the creature.
SNAAP!
The Licker flipped backward, digging its elongated claws into the wall paneling and sprinting along the vertical surface at blinding speed.
It moved like an oversized, skinless arachnid, leaving deep gouges in the steel plating as it dodged the barrage.
Because it moved along walls and ceilings with insane agility, unguided metal objects—no matter how fast—were easily evaded.
The metallic debris slammed harmlessly into the wall where the Licker had been a millisecond prior.
Scuttling onto the ceiling directly above Chu Feng, the Licker flexed its muscular hind legs and launched itself downward like a cannonball, claws extended to tear him apart.
“Hmph.” Chu Feng sneered.
He had anticipated its trajectory.
As the creature airborne descended, he reached out with his open palm and yanked upward.
CREAK—!
The heavy steel handrail lining the lab wall tore free from its concrete anchors, bending upward at a sharp angle like a massive spear.
THUNK!
Unable to alter its momentum in mid-air, the Licker collided squarely with the bent iron rail, which impaled its thick chest cavity.
SCREECH!
The beast howled in fury, thrashing wildly to pull itself off the metal spike.
Seeing it struggle, Chu Feng flexed his fingers, intending to twist the metal into a knot.
But the Licker reacted with terrifying instinct—its razor-sharp claws extended, slicing downward in a silver blur.
CLANG!
The reinforced iron rail was sheared cleanly in two like butter.
The Licker landed lightly on its feet, flipped forward, and lunged toward Chu Feng once more with blinding speed.
“You think cutting a piece of iron saves you?” Chu Feng said coldly.
As the beast closed the distance, Chu Feng snapped his fingers.
The metallic remnants embedded near the creature’s wounds surged with intense magnetic polarization.
The Licker’s forward momentum ground to a dead halt as its massive body froze in mid-air, suspended by the magnetic forces acting on the metal inside and around it.
Realizing it was trapped, the Licker opened its jaw wide and unleashed its final weapon—its long, barbed, whip-like tongue shot straight toward Chu Feng’s face like a spear!
If hit, the razor-sharp barbs would tear his head open instantly.
Prepared for the attack, Chu Feng stepped sharply to the side, leaning his torso back as the thick tongue whistled past his cheek.
BANG!
The tongue struck the granite floor tile behind him, shattering the stone into powder.
Without missing a beat, Chu Feng summoned the floating fire axe back to his grip and slammed it downward with full magnetic momentum, pinning the Licker’s tongue firmly to the floor structure.
ROAR—!
The creature thrashed in agony, but Chu Feng gave it no further chance to react.
With a sharp twist of his wrist, the surrounding iron railings, shattered door frames, and metal fragments dissolved into thin strands of dense steel cables, coiling tightly around the Licker’s limbs, torso, and neck until it was bound in an inescapable cage of iron.
“Die.” Chu Feng clenched his fist tight.
CRUNCH—!
The tightly coiled metal cables collapsed inward with incredible force.
The formidable, regenerating bioweapon was instantly compressed and sliced into several lifeless segments, turning into a heap of motionless tissue on the blood-stained floor.
