Outside the security corridor, the infected Dobermans let out sharp, guttural snarls.

Their mutated muscles surged with unnatural speed, closing a ten-meter gap in the span of a single breath.

The lead hound leapt into the air, its jaw unhinging to twice its natural size, aiming directly for Chu Feng’s throat.

CLANG!

A heavy reinforced steel door slammed shut in the beast’s face.

The dog crashed hard against the metal plate, wailing in frustration before furiously clawing at the small reinforced glass porthole.

“Phew…

that was too close,” Alice exhaled, leaning back against the steel frame to catch her breath.

“Don’t relax yet,” Chu Feng warned, his eyes scanning the dark room.

Having watched enough horror films, he knew better than to trust an unchecked room in an outbreak zone.

“Check your corners!” GROAN…

Before Alice could turn around, a mutated security guard lunged out from behind the central console, decaying hands reaching for her throat.

Instinct took over.

Agent Alice didn’t flinch—she drove a punishing combination of palm strikes directly into the zombie’s chest.

Even without a sense of pain, the sheer kinetic force knocked the creature backward.

Leveraging her momentum, she sprang into the air, executing a flawless spin-kick straight into the guard’s jaw.

CRASH!

The guard flew backward, smashing into a glass display cabinet.

Shattered glass rained down as the corpse slumped motionless against the wall.

Chu Feng stood frozen, staring at her in silence.

To be honest, he hadn’t processed a single frame of her martial arts form.

His attention had been completely hijacked by the flash of black lace under her leather skirt during that high kick.

This woman has zero self-awareness…

he thought, his mind going temporarily blank.

“What?” Alice asked, catching her breath and noticing his stunned expression.

She assumed her lethal combat skills had intimidated him.

“Nothing,” Chu Feng replied quickly, keeping his face entirely neutral.

“Great kick.” Alice didn’t notice his real distraction.

Spotting a holstered Beretta 92FS on the fallen guard’s belt, she stepped over the glass and retrieved the sidearm, quickly checking the magazine.

Thump!

Thump!

A sudden vibration shook the observation window.

Realizing the steel door was impenetrable, the remaining pack of zombie dogs had redirected their assault toward the thick glass window beside the doorway.

Chu Feng grabbed a heavy metal-framed swivel chair from the security desk and slammed it across the window frame just as the glass cracked open.

CRUNCH!

An infected hound thrust its head through the gap, snapping wildly at the wooden legs of the chair.

Its jaw moved like a hydraulic press, splintering the dense wood in seconds.

“Shoot it!” Chu Feng yelled, trying to hold the barricade.

Alice raised the pistol, aligned the sights, and pulled the trigger.

BANG!

A single 9mm round tore through the dog’s skull, dropping it instantly.

CRASH!

CRASH!

Before they could celebrate, the entire window frame buckled.

Four more zombie dogs burst through the opening, tumbling into the tight confines of the security station.

Chu Feng swung the metal remains of the chair, but the mutated hounds moved in a blur, fanning out to flank them.

“Shoot them!” Chu Feng barked, backing toward the rear wall.

“I can’t!” Alice shouted back, hesitation flashing across her face.

“There are too many, and they’re moving too fast!

You’re directly in the line of fire—I’ll hit you!” Three hounds lunged simultaneously from different angles—one aiming for his legs, one for his arm, and another leaping straight for his chest.

At this distance, in a tight room, traditional weapons were useless.

“Just fire!

Trust me!” Chu Feng commanded.

Alice gritted her teeth.

Facing immediate death, she made her choice and pulled the trigger.

BANG!

The bullet streaked across the room.

Given the dog’s blinding speed, the trajectory was off—it was slated to miss the beast’s head by several inches.

Focus!

Chu Feng activated his Tier 1 Magnetic Manipulation.

An invisible force gripped the metallic core of the flying round mid-flight.

The bullet abruptly bent six inches to the left in open air.

PLUG!

The round drilled straight through the eye socket of the lunging dog.

Thinking her tactical instincts had achieved peak precision under pressure, her confidence surged.

She didn’t hesitate for another second.

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

She emptied the entire magazine in a rapid double-tap rhythm.

What followed was a spectacle that defied every law of ballistics.

To Alice, it looked like legendary marksmanship combined with sheer, miraculous luck.

Bullets whizzed past Chu Feng’s ears, nose, and shoulders by fractions of an inch.

Each round ricocheted off the concrete walls and metal cabinets at impossible angles, homing in on the heads of the leaping hounds with deadly precision.

Chu Feng stood perfectly still at the epicenter of the gunfire, calmly weaving his magnetic field to redirect the flying lead around his body.

He was literally dancing through a hail of bullets as corpse after corpse hit the deck around him.

Alice’s slide locked back on empty.

Silence returned to the security room, save for the hum of the fluorescent lights and the smell of spent gunpowder.

Five mutated hounds lay dead around Chu Feng’s feet.

Not a single bullet had touched him.

Alice stared at her smoking pistol, then at Chu Feng, completely speechless.

“I…

I actually hit all of them?” Chu Feng let out a slow breath, brushing a speck of dust off his shoulder.

“I told you to trust me.”
