Adrian had originally planned to repay the bank after Stilwell finished moving his batch of medicine.
He had not expected the Dubai prince to clear the two-billion-dollar loan on his own initiative.
Since the prince had done it, Adrian could look after him a little if a good opportunity came up later.
He believed both father and son would be very willing.
“Have we set the dates for the National Health Insurance negotiation and the overseas distribution bidding?” Adrian asked Evelyn after returning to the office.
Coordinating matters like this was part of her role as his secretary.
“The National Health Insurance negotiation is set for the day after tomorrow. The overseas distributor bidding conference is tentatively scheduled for July tenth, but the tender documents still need your approval before we release them.”
The overseas situation was different from the domestic one.
Umbrella had to build its own sales network.
It could not simply push the drug onto the market and wait for customers to come to it.
Authorized distributors were the best route.
For that reason, Adrian had drafted a detailed long-term sales strategy.
This bidding round would recruit first-tier distributors.
Most first-tier distributors would receive exclusive sales rights for an entire country.
There would be exceptions.
The United States, for example, would need at least two first-tier distributors.
The HIV/AIDS cure was the first product Umbrella had released under Adrian’s control.
It was the highest priority.
It needed a strong opening.
Using distributors would inevitably drive up the final price patients paid.
But Adrian did not care.
Umbrella products would be premium products.
Buy it or don’t.
Refuse, and die waiting.
“July tenth works,” Adrian murmured.
“By the time the bidding ends, Stilwell should have finished selling his batch.”
“Once the HIV/AIDS treatment is on track, Umbrella can formally begin developing.”
“Hm?”
His last sentence had been quiet enough that Evelyn was not sure she had heard correctly.
The HIV/AIDS treatment would be on track, and only then would Umbrella begin developing?
Not just Evelyn.
Almost everyone believed that this single drug would be enough to carry Umbrella to the top of the world.
But she could not imagine how terrifying Adrian’s true goal was.
In his eyes, the current Umbrella was still far too weak.
Red Umbrella.
Blue Umbrella.
White Umbrella.
There was still a long road ahead.
“Nothing. Go handle your work. I will call you if I need anything.”
Adrian waved her off.
Evelyn had been strange around him lately.
Fitted office dresses, black stockings, high heels.
Every day, she seemed determined to show him her most tempting side.
Adrian, however, had not paid too much attention.
After she left, he opened the system interface again.
“Production lines? Forget it. I might as well look at similar formulas.”
At a glance, the page was still full of the production lines he had opened last time.
He switched directly to the formula category. Find the original chapter at g.com.
Producing medicine was different from producing other industrial goods.
For most industrial products, enough materials meant the factory could run at full power twenty-four hours a day.
Medicine was different, especially the HIV/AIDS treatment currently in production.
The main ingredient was the A1 Virus.
Cultivating the A1 Virus required time.
Besides, current production speed should already exceed sales speed.
Price itself would restrain demand.
There were forty million people living with HIV/AIDS worldwide, but a large portion of them were in impoverished regions of Africa and India.
Adrian estimated that producing fifty thousand doses a day already far exceeded immediate market demand.
After stockpiling a month’s worth of the HIV/AIDS treatment, he planned to shift production toward other drugs.
“Interesting. The formula for this disease’s cure is only twenty million?”
Adrian suddenly found a formula in the store that cost only twenty million dollars.
Even an ordinary cold medicine formula cost fifty million.

Price Adjustment: This formula is a secondary development based on the A-Virus.
Store price reduced accordingly.
“Oh? In that case, buy it.”
During that time, whenever Dr.
Hart was not inspecting the production line, he led the lab researchers through exhausting work on the A-Virus and its other possible uses.
Since this formula was also derived from the A-Virus, it was perfectly suited for them to develop a new viral strain now.
And as a bonus, it could solve another major problem for the world.
Its market simply was not very large.
