I pinched my nose and counted to three.
One. Two. Three.
And the Kinky Scent activated, my perfume changed. Sweet poison, quite like the scent I used on Saelith before. But more like jelly stuck in your throat.
"What’s wrong, human? Cat... got your tongue–"
Her compound pupils became overstimulated as her nose twitched, catching my scent, making her fumble. She closed her eyes for a second, denying it.
I did see her compatibility rate; hers was 12, mine was 34, almost triple. This would definitely work on her.
"What kind of tricks are you trying to pull here? What is this!?"
"I have no clue what you’re talking about. Weren’t you going to kill me? Don’t tell me you have other disgusting plans."
I said, holding my shoulders like some girl trying to play innocent in bed, completely overexaggerating.
The beetle woman stared at me, didn’t move a muscle, there was an awkward silence between us. Then she laughed, opening her claws in the same manner, and seeing it up close, there was some venom dripping from them.
"You are so dumb. You just gave me some ideas. You can be my breeding slave! I need a human like you, who would give a fight atleast."
"Beside. It will be a perfect punishment for humans such as you who use our bodies to make sex toys."
She continued laughing, an erotic blush appearing on her cheeks, her mouth dripping saliva. And at that point I began to worry about myself.
"Well, that doesn’t sound amazing. I do not consent!"
Time to run. Turning around, I ran like my life depended on it. Because it did. Taking larger steps, hoping it would somehow make me faster.
"Get back here, my pet!"
The Kinky Scent might be working too well here. She chased after me, I can officially say women chase me. The corridors were narrow, working in my favor, she’s a giant beetle and can’t sprint at her full speed.
For a second I thought I wouldn’t have any issues executing the plan, but she outmaneuvered the situation like last time. Reacting quickly, she broke through the side of the wall to fly outside.
I was passing by a series of windows, and at the corner of my eye I caught her. She caught up quicker than I imagined.
She smiled, drooling like a hungry animal. Then she increased the distance between herself and the wall, stopping at a point.
She slammed herself into the wall just to get at me. I read her like a book, and I’m glad I did, running at a faster pace at the last minute. I was able to save myself from her claws and the flying brick pieces.
"However long you keep running, there’s no point, give up."
She flew off outside again, presumably to do the most insect thing ever.
"Well, how many times are you going to crash yourself into a wall? Don’t you have better–"
I swallowed.
"It’s like you couldn’t be more stupid. Are you trying to get yourself killed?"
The beetle woman laughed mid-flight, even harder this time, and completely forgot about her routine.
"I don’t want my toy to get broken before playing house with it. But you’re making things quite boring now."
Using her beetle claw, she lunged at me, piercing the wall, about to grab my head.
To dodge it, I let myself fall forward, rolling over. She missed and hit the wall on the other side.
"You’ll have to try a lot harder than that."
"Shut your mouth! I swear, when I catch you, you’ll be begging me not to drain your balls."
This beetle woman is freaky as fuck. Ignoring her comment in heated anger, I turned into a new inner corridor. Running? No, leading her to the location.
From there, the corridor narrowed, no windows, more twists and turns. So I was able to leave her behind pretty easily.
But the beetle woman had no respect for the architects who built The Greyclock Conservatory. I felt the weight of her vibration attack and heard the sound of a big portion of the inner structure breaking off.
And it was getting closer and closer.
Luckily I was just a few steps away from the location, the secret ceremonial hall. At the end of the corridor there was a big, ten-foot metallic door with a heavy and detailed frame.
I pushed the door, hurrying inside. The inside of the hall told the story of the bloodied hands of architects, slaves, and people obsessed with art.
An area my gamer instinct called the boss arena. A smooth marble floor that apparently doesn’t know dust exists, a massive magic circle with impossible curves engraved into the floor itself, with many smaller ones around it.
The ceiling was so high it seemed like the end of the tower, but it somehow wasn’t. Floating candle holders illuminated most of the hall.
I kept running until I was at the center. No. I’m not going to perform some cool-ass magic. I’d done my part by luring her here.
I heard the sound of her vibration attack, turned around, and saw her in the doorway, wondering why her attack had no effect on the hall’s door or anything inside.
That should’ve been a sign to turn back and leave, and if that wasn’t the sign, the magic circle should have convinced her.
But she’s a dumb one. Seeing no one inside, and under the effect of my Kinky Scent, she came in.
"I can sense how terrified you are of my vibrations. Don’t worry, come here. I’m keeping it low, it’ll feel like you’re falling asleep!"
The beetle woman charged straight into the center, where I was standing, and when she got in range, she fired the vibration.
Big mistake.
Sister Maren came out of hiding, flying with the chain of floating candles around her, and pulled me out of the beetle woman’s attack range.
The beetle woman looked up and saw a massive bell falling down, so massive it looked like it had been stolen from a heavy-mantled bell tower.
"You did well, phunk!"
Looking up, I saw Seraphine casually holding the bell in place, smiling like she wanted to kill me but was impressed at the same time.
Now that the beetle woman was inside the bell, her attack backfired on her. Her own vibrations bounced back, hitting her with twice the force, amplified by the bell.
