The receptionist instructed and I did so with a little style to it.

“Ohhhh!

He will love you dearly!”

She praised me heavily as she admired my body and I gave a wicked smile because that is exactly what I needed.

For him to love me

I do not mind doing anything to get him to fall for me as long as I have set my gaze on him and won’t be looking elsewhere.

“This way, darling,” she sweetly gestured and I followed.

She was such a bubbly person and I loved her for that but right now, I was on a mission.

Men aren’t hard to tame and I had everything a man needs to make him swoon, so this shouldn’t be an issue…right?

For centuries, I’ve never lived past 25.

Every time I’m reborn, the world changes, and my magic dwindles a little more.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t doubtful—but giving up?

That isn’t an option.

When we got to his office, I took a deep breath and undid the first buttons of my blouse with a wicked smirk.

“Let me inform him of your presence,” the plump lady said and went in, leaving me outside.

I couldn’t stop smiling because this felt right.

I have searched for my soulmate for centuries and found that he is non-existent but now, I had the chance to find my right man.

As a triplet witch, the first at that, my spirit led me to come to the West while my other two sisters went separate ways because they felt their Mr Rights were somewhere out there.

The door opened and I put on a bright smile as the lady happily said, “you may come in.”

With elegance, I walked in on my black high heels and the moment I entered, there he was, standing behind his desk with his eyes already expectant.

I smiled brightly, exposing my perfect set of teeth and his expression grew radiant as he stepped away from his wide desk and came to stand in the middle of the office.

“Good day, sir,” I warmly greeted.

“Good day to you too, sweetheart,” he cheerfully responded and offered me that charming smile, exposing his fine set of white teeth.

He was moderately tall, had tanned skin and dark brown hair to match his aura.

He was indeed an embodiment of looks and I couldn’t wait to be loved by him already.

Just the way he called me ‘sweetheart’ was already a green flag for me.

He eyed me up and down in fascination and did a walk around me before coming to stand before me with that impressed smile.

“You, my dear, will turn a lot of heads and you are the right fit for this job!” He happily declared and I beamed in happiness until he said,

“Although I am a bit concerned that you may steal the men from me.”

What?

I blinked in confusion but didn’t comment on it.

“Lily love,” he charmingly called the receptionist who had brought me and my eyes widened.

“Yes, boss,” she eagerly answered.

“You may take your leave.” He sweetly dismissed her and she nodded with that same bright smile as she left us.

Gradually, my smile diminished and soon it was non-existent as I watched him in horror.

He walked back to his desk and leaned against it before folding his arms against his firm chest as he kept the conversation going,

“Would you like to start work today, sweetheart?” He inquired and my frown only deepened.

“Won’t you be interviewing me?” I asked and gave an uncertain smile.

“Of course not, you are what I need, darling…oh!

pardon me for constantly calling you sweet names, it is just my way of talking with ladies,” he casually explained and the way he did his fingers like he was savoring the air, was a huge RED FLAG!

But I refused to conclude.

I cannot spend all eternity just to find a man that is-

NO!

my brain screamed.

“You seem distressed.

Is something wrong?” He curiously asked as he gave a worried frown with his gaze transfixed on me.

“Permit me to ask this, sir, but are you a…a ehm…”

“Gay?” he nonchalantly said it like there was no big deal in it.

“Yes,” I affirmed.

“I am,” he casually answered with a stylish shrug of his shoulders, leaving me disoriented.

At this point, I could no longer breathe as I stood in a state of shock.

“I am grateful you brought that up, my love, because it will be easier for us to set boundaries.

Rule number one…”

He began and my mood soured greatly.

“….I do not like ladies romantically and can never EVER see them that way so do not try to be romantic with me.

If you have a problem with that, the door is right behind you.”

My eyes widened as my heart sank because where and how do I begin to make such a person fall in love with me?

“Rule number two…”

I gulped in dread that the numbers kept going.

His eyes held mine sharply as he proceeded to say what it was.

“…Never steal the men from me.”

And when I thought it would end there, he further said, “…especially not my boyfriend.”

This time I am going for a unique and challenging male lead, I hope you all don’t mind.
