~{JENNA’S POV}~
*
The look he gave me was deadly but when he finally spoke, I couldn’t find the anger I was earnestly searching for and it aggravated me.
“The last I checked, I belong to no one…but God.
And you are no god to decide that for me.”
“We shall see about that,” I confidently declared.
He clenched his jaw and I smiled because that showed it affected him.
Yet his next words threw me completely off guard.
“I will marry you.”
I frowned at him because something felt completely off about this.
“Put it down in contract.
Two years.
After that, you get the hell out of my life.” He firmly bargained and I narrowed my eyes on him but smiled.
“I’m the one holding the reins here, sweetheart.
So you don’t get to decide how this will be.” I dragged my words in order to irk him and it did.
“Do you think I can’t start a business for myself from scratch?” He challenged me.
“I’d like to see you try that, Levi.
I will actively hinder it from growing and frustrate you until you squander all your resources.
You have billions in your possession, yes, but billions can be gone in a blink of an eye.” I challenged him back and he gritted his teeth in anger.
“Do you think anyone would want to do business with a gay person when you have no connections that aren’t tied to your father?
You were doing well because your father hid your identity and supported you despite everything.
So, good luck starting a business.” I wished him well.
“Why are you doing all of this, Jenna?” He finally asked.
“Because I want you and if I cannot have you naturally, then I have to force my way in.” I answered.
“And do you think that will make me love you?” He asked.
“Time will tell,” I answered and he gave a shallow laugh of mockery.
“If you want to be petty and get back at Carl for leaving you, you can use me.
I don’t mind it,” I gave him an option and his look softened a bit but hardened again.
It will be a huge act of betrayal.
Imagine going around the world together and making it seem like we’re together just for Carl to wallow in pain.
Don’t you want him crawling back?” I smartly asked and he narrowed his eyes at me in suspicion.
“He chose wealth over you, Levi.
I purposely added in the contract that he shouldn’t come to you but let’s see how much he wants you to breach that contract.
We can use that to deal with him.” I bargained and watched him begin to reconsider it.
Yes, I was going to use his broken heart to get him.
I am that desperate and petty.
“What do you say, Levi?” I gently coaxed him.
“You can be with all the men you want while our marriage will be a cover up for that.
No one has to know and I am ready to support who you are.
If news gets out that you are gay while we are married, I will boldly tell the public of your true identity while also stating we married out of love.
Think about it.
The world is corrupted and we can use it to our advantage.” I tried to convince him.
He stood there glaring at me but my faith in him was too big to give up.
Please accept
Please, please, please…
When he parted his lips, I held my breath.
“I want my position back,” he insisted.
“I can give you your position back but I’ll be the vice-president,” I insisted and he narrowed his eyes on me.
“Since you’ve drawn out contracts with others, including my father.
I want a contract drawn between us.” He declared.
“Anything for you, Levi,” I lovingly said but he kept a stoic expression.
“Let’s draw the contract at my house.
Put down your terms and conditions and I will do the same then when we come together, we shall review them together and come to a favorable conclusion.” He concluded at that and I smiled and gave a simple nod.
When he turned and walked up to the door, he paused and turned to give me one last look as he said, “I am a man of class, so get me a flashy diamond ring with my name on it.”
My eyes lit up in delight and I said, “Expect it with a proposal.”
He sighed and responded with, “I hate you, Jenna.”
“I hate you too, Levi.” I responded back and my words surprised him because he paused again and looked at me to be sure he heard right.

~{LEVI’S POV}~
*
It was already nighttime and Jenna was yet to come.
I had already drawn out my contract while waiting for hers so we could get on with everything.
I didn’t bother calling my father because I was mad at him for trying to sell me behind my back.
A knock came at the front door and since the housekeeper was still around as she prepared dinner, she went to get it.
I was in the living room, so when she opened the door, I turned in my chair to see if it was Jenna but from the conversation, it felt like it was just one of the securities.
Sighing, I went back to rechecking everything I had done while the housekeeper went back to the kitchen.
But after a while, I heard light footsteps approaching me from the kitchen but I didn’t look up because I knew it was her.
It was only when she brought a dish covered with a silver lid to my face did I look at it before looking up at her in confusion.
“Did I keep you up?”
She asked and my confusion turned to surprise because instead of staring at my housekeeper, I was staring at Jenna.
She was wearing an apron over a simple dress.
Had she been in the kitchen all along?
Cooking with my housekeeper?
I looked back down at the covered place of food before looking up at her again.
“Go on, open it,” she coaxed me and I narrowed my eyes at her but still did it.
The moment I opened it, I found a small black box and I blinked in surprise and she took that moment to go on one knee.
I looked at her in disbelief and she took that opportunity to speak.
“One day you will return this favor because of the things I will do for you.
You will want to repay me and the only thought that will come to your mind will be to set things right with me.
So, let me set the pace first.”
She paused and used her right hand to open the little black box which was still on the plate she was holding with her left hand.
And there the ring was.
A diamond one at that.
“Marry me and be my wife,” she proposed and I nearly smiled because of the phrase she used.
Sighing, I took the ring from the box and wore it and to my amazement, it smoothly went through my finger like it was made specially for me.
While I was still surprised at that, she took that opportunity to quickly kiss me…on the lips.
