When I quickly pulled away after kissing him, I remained kneeling as I watched to see his reaction.Full novel: REWRITING FATE: There is no such thing as soulmates — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

To my surprise he just stared like it wasn’t new to him but I could tell it caught him off guard.

“I’ll let that slide because I love the ring,” he said and went back to looking at the diamond ring in admiration.

Now that was a relief and my smile knew no bounds.

‘Baby steps okay…one at a time.’ I assured myself.

I got up and went to sit on a different chair facing him with a table between us.

“May I see what you have set in your contract?” I softly asked since he was being calm.

I didn’t want to vex him or we would end up exchanging words.

He looked at me with an unreadable expression and for a moment there, it felt like I was being sucked in by his eyes.

He really had beautiful eyes and when I had seen his father, I saw the resemblance.

Leaning forward, he took a folder he made and handed it to me.

I took it and began going through it.

In the contract he stated things like; – Both parties won’t be intimate with each other.

– Both parties can show public affection but inside the house, party A won’t do that.

He was party A while I am party B as stated in the contract.

– Both parties can see whoever they like and be intimate with anyone but CANNOT bring their hook-ups to the house.

– After two years, the contract marriage will come to an end and party A will file for a divorce against party B.

– Both parties’ wedding will be quiet and simple with only a few witnesses.

– If any party tries to breach the contract then that is the end of their agreement.

There were a lot of do’s and don’ts and I found them sensible.

“We shall use your contract,” I finally said after looking through it.

“Good,” he said and picked a pen from the table before handing it to me.

I took it and went to the part where I had to sign before signing it then I handed it to him.

I watched him sign as well and my mood lit in happiness.

It was finally happening!

Once he was done, he took the contract and stood up before saying, “You can call my father and tell him we will get married next week.

The earlier the better.”

When he walked a few steps, he stopped and looked at where I was before saying, “Since we’ll be living together soon, why don’t I show you where I shall be putting the contract.”

“I don’t need to know. The source of this chapter is g.com.

Just keep it safe.

I’m putting my trust in you.” I coyly said.

If he tries anything stupid, I know just the right thing to hold him with.

When he climbed up the stairs, I called out his name, “Levi?”

He stopped and looked at me.

“What?” He tiredly answered.

“Are you still mad at me?” I curiously asked even when I knew the answer.

“Very much,” he answered and resumed walking up the stairs.

“OH MY GOD!

THERE’S A RAT!” I screamed in terror and Levi rushed back downstairs in alarm, only for me to burst out in laughter.

“For someone who hates me, you really do care for me.” I pointed out and he gave me a cold glare but said nothing as he went back upstairs.

Picking up my phone, I dialed his father’s line.

“It’s done, he agreed to be wedded to me next week.

He wants a small wedding.” I informed him the moment he answered.

“So fast?

Wow!

That’s brilliant.

I shall begin making preparations.

Don’t lift a finger, dear.

I will see to it that I get a remarkable wedding planner to handle everything immediately!” He happily said and I could tell it brought comfort to his heart that his son will be getting married.

And from what I found out, Levi was an only child.

No wonder his father gave him everything despite him being gay.

“Thank you my dear.

His mother will be so happy,” he cheerfully appreciated.

“Don’t forget what you need to do, sir.” I reminded him of our contract.

“Worry not, it’s a done deal.” He firmly assured me.

(The following morning)

“Babe!”

“Babe!!”

“Darling!”

“Sugar bear?!”

“Honey?!”

“My nemesis!!!”

I woke up with a loud groan as I got out of bed just in time for her to come banging on my door.

In anger I stormed to it and flinged the door open to find her standing outside with a bright smile.

She was wearing a short powder blue silk nightgown with straps and her nipples were poking through it.

“What?” I growled in anger and she pouted at me and said, “What do you notice?”

“A nuisance,” I responded.

“What else?” She eagerly asked and adjusted her dress so I could see her bare thighs properly and her provocative but covered breasts.

Without saying a word I wanted to close the door only for her to block it with her foot, leaving me glaring at her.

“I learnt that morning sex is good for the brain and you seem to be in need of it to fix that foul mood of yours.” She blurted out.

“Are you trying to breach the contract?” I suspiciously asked.

“This is not a breach of contract.

As married people we will sleep together.” She argued.

“We are not married yet and have you forgotten what you signed or shall I bring it and show it to you?” I asked and she smiled and said, “I remember everything, Levi.

And with all that was mentioned, you didn’t state how we would sleep, so therefore I shall be sleeping in your room from henceforth.”

“Not happening.” I swiftly said while trying to push her leg away but she was unrelenting.

Suddenly the door somehow gave way and she jumped onto me like a wild cat and began to kiss me like a maniac.

“NO!”

I screamed and suddenly woke up as I jerked in bed.

I was breathing heavily and when I realized it was a dream, I relaxed.

“What a nightmare,” I fearfully said.

“Tell me about it,” someone said beside me and I went completely still.

But out of fear, I quickly turned my bed light on as I sat upright before checking to see if I was still dreaming and truly, she was lying on my bed and had on the same powder blue silk nightgown I had seen her wear in my dream.

“JENNA!” I screamed in frustration.
