He had fallen and was sprawled on the ground, his perfectly toned body, like that of a model, glaringly on display in Zhong Lingling’s field of vision.
“Get out!
Get out right now!” Xiang Yimo was on the verge of a breakdown!
His face flushed with embarrassment, he truly wished he could find a hole to crawl into.
But damn it, why was this woman so oblivious?
Didn’t she feel embarrassed at all?
There he was, a big man dressed in disarray, and she just kept staring at him with her eyes wide open.
“Shameless woman, still looking!” he said indignantly as he glared at Zhong Lingling.
Zhong Lingling paused, then finally realized that Xiang Yimo, who was seriously ill, had fallen to the ground.
Instead of running out of the room, she squatted down to help Xiang Yimo up.
“Xiang Yimo, listen to me, Xiaojin has already been re-assigned by my father to other duties; from now on, I will be entirely in charge of taking care of you.
You don’t need to feel embarrassed, really, you don’t need to feel embarrassed!” Zhong Lingling explained with frankness on her face.
She even gave Xiang Yimo a look of understanding and empathy.
Little did she know that Xiang Yimo was so embarrassed he wanted to bash his head against a wall and die.
“What are you joking about?
From now on, you will take full care of me?” Xiang Yimo shook his head in disbelief.
He knew all too well what being fully in charge meant.
It meant that his eating, drinking, and even his bathroom habits would be tied to this woman.
How could this be?
This was preposterous!
“Yes!
I will take care of you, so you must be good and listen to me.
Don’t forget, we got married yesterday, I’m your wife!” Her tone was as gentle as that of a nurse comforting a patient or a mother soothing a baby.
But what good were those comforting words to Xiang Yimo, a grown man of twenty-three?
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
“If you can understand human speech, then get out of my room immediately!” Xiang Yimo pointed towards the door and roared again like a lion.
“But, you just went to the toilet, and I haven’t had the chance to wipe you yet!” Zhong Lingling said somewhat aggrievedly.
“What did you say?” The entire Jingxiang Pavilion seemed to tremble and shake, as Xiang Yimo’s face blushed all the way to his neck.
Had he heard wrong?
Or was he dreaming?
He had actually gone to the toilet in front of this woman while he was feeling faint.
Oh God, how could he continue to live in this world after this?
How could he face this detestable, infuriating woman?
“Don’t be shy, we have a long life ahead of us.
I don’t mind that you smell, what’s there for you to be bothered by?” Zhong Lingling said playfully, twisting a wet towel again.
“Crazy woman, what, what do you want to do?” Xiang Yimo watched Zhong Lingling warily.
This woman was simply a dangerous person, oh no, more like a terror, ist.
“Nothing much, just to help you clean!
Come on, be good and obedient,” Zhong Lingling said earnestly, clutching the cloth, intent on cleaning that certain something for Xiang Yimo.
“You’re insane, you’ve truly lost your mind!
If you dare come over here, I’ll, I’ll tell my father that you harassed me!” Xiang Yimo curled up pitifully, unable to find anything for cover.
At this moment, he really regretted taking whatever medication he had that morning to fake an illness.
How could he not have foreseen that being married now, things were different from before?
“A wife taking care of her sick husband, isn’t that only right and proper?
Xiang Yimo, there’s really no need to feel embarrassed.
Or you can just pretend I’m Xiaojin!”
