"Young master, what have you decided?"
Kaelum asked, his voice a bit hoarse. Seeing his face, Lex could understand the dilemma flowing through his body. The last wish of his master, against me, the young master, a weight of battles taking place within his body. I let those worries go as I waved my hand at him.
"I have decided to protect her, to keep my older sister safe…"
Hearing my words, Kaelum's body relaxed, his eyes looking at me with seriousness as I spoke again.
"That's why you take me to my older sister; I need to meet her."
"As you command, young master."
His words gained an extra edge of respect as he left the room to prepare for transport. Kaelum didn't go to question Lex's decision due to the very fact that if Lex wanted his sister harmed, he just had to spill the information to his mother, and that would do the rest.
No matter how good Kaelum went to keep his sister safe, Lex's mother would definitely sniff out and find her, making sure to sniff the life out of the little girl. Thus, Kaelum was sure that Lex had no bad intentions for his big sister. Even more, it was Lex's father's last wish for Lex to look after his sister. Hence, Kaelum wouldn't begin to think that Lex had any sinister intentions. Moreover, in the last three years, Lex had only shown a calm and caring side, thus cementing his reputation.
'He is not wrong, my intentions aren't bad…'
Lex thought as he leaned onto his chair, closing his eyes as the beautiful image of a woman filled his mind. Her black eyes were sharp, while her beautiful purple hair floated in the wind, her chiselled, beautiful face looking at him as she whipped her spear to his heart.
'Tracy…'
That is the name of his older sister, one who rose to untold power and position in the past and one who has a huge role in the downfall of his family. Killing her off is the best for his family, for she will definitely strive for revenge for her mother once she gets to know about the truth.
'Beautiful, smart, power-driven, ruthless, cares only about her future and life, but once she lets a man in, her loyalty stays till the end of time.'
Thinking till here, Lex opened his eyes as he licked his lips.
'You are worth the risk....'
There exist several risks in taking in Tracy.
One reason is simple enough that it's complex, a secret Lex came to know by diving into the memories of the absolute primordial existence, gaining a hint into the karma and destiny working of the world.
As said before, when the first awakening took place and reality started to change, several unknown to ordinary people rose to power, people at the bottom somehow going to be the great existence in the myriad realms, creating powerful organisations and powers.
Untold power, wealth, and women at their arms as they, with their luck within the game, raise them to Gods…
'If it wasn't for my innate gift, I wouldn't have even known about it…'
Lex sneered as he thought of the others awing at the greatness of the rise of nobodies, their legends etched in history, while the people in question filled themselves with a humongous amount of pride and arrogance, which still confuses him about how those great women fell for them.
But then again, coincidences of fate happened such that these women fell into the hands of those stuck-up chosen ones.
And he, too, would have been in awe like them if not for the innate talent that he awakened at the first awakening, the talent called...
Absolute Thoughts and Memory Reading...
The one ability that allowed him to survive, the one ability that led him to crawl through the bottom of the world to reach a height where he could stay safe.
From the great young master, he had fallen to the greatest bootlicker in the world, his ability allowing him to pierce into the mind of any being, being the strangest or the weakest, none would be able to tell that he was seeking their mind.
But in combat, it became entirely useless against the overpowered abilities that kept popping up. Yet this ability of his helped him take the secrets of others and differentiate between ally and enemy, the one skill that helped set up his supremacy in intelligence work.
And it's this very skill that allowed him to peer into the minds of the rulers of creation and understand the very complex path of karma and destiny, to understand the unfairness of life and to know that fate can make even the worst the greatest.
"Young master, shall we leave?"
Kaelum spoke, bringing Lex out of his thoughts.
"Let's…."
Lex replied as he got out of the room. This time, his huge entourage did not follow him around, as Lex requested. His desire was that he wanted to take an incognito trip, which was easily approved, as Kaelum was going with him. The man himself is at Level 3: Gravity Fury Disciple, making him a man not to be messed with.
"So what did you do with her?"
Lex asked as the two of them started to go around in a less eye-catching car. Kaelum at the driving seat as Lex took the side.
"I found her a perfect family, all of it behind the scenes. After all, to the naked eye, the death of Mistress Aria was an accident."
Lex nodded his head at those words, his mind playing through the past. The stupidity of not fully dealing with the situation came to bite his family in the ass later on.
'Either kill her or subdue her.'
There was no two-way about it. Soon, within a few minutes, the car reached a more open playground, a public place where several kids of Lex's age and above could be seen playing.
"This is?"
Lex asked.
"Right now, she is at the playground."
Lex spoke. Hearing so, Lex, along with Kaelum, got out of the car. The two of them behaved like close family as they entered the park. Lots of families around with kids left to their own devices, with a keen eye from their families.
Lex stood at the playground, his eyes peering through the place till he landed on an 11-year-old girl swinging on the swing, her purple hair covering her face, while a saddened and lost aura could be felt from her. She looked very much like a depressed little girl.
'She's just like the memories spoke of….'
The death of her mother and the subsequent thought of who her father is keeps eating at her mind, for Logan made sure not to show his true face to Tracy till he became sure of her safety and the future he can hold. In Lex's view, that's the only good thing he did in the past relationship.
"That's her?"
Lex asked, to which Kaelum replied in a low tone.
"Yes..."
Thus Lex's eyes kept looking through the playground, until his eyes landed on a boy of age 12, his hair black with light green eyes, as he kept moving around in the playground with great charisma, having his own small group of followers.
'David Anderson...'
Lex's eyes narrowed as he looked at the person who would grow to destroy his family, the man, one among the gifted of the fate and the future husband of his sister Tracy, being her childhood sweetheart, one destined for greatness, rising from the broken family.
'His family too will be useful...'
Lex thought as he smiled thinly. From the memories he read when he first met the guy years into the future, Lex knows that in a few months, David will contact Tracy since she seems like the lonely type to show off his 'kindness' and 'manliness'.
'Not going to happen this time....'
With a smirk, Lex walked towards Tracy, swinging by at the swing, her visage quite lonely as he walked up to her, her head down as she kept swinging quite weirdly. To this, Lex didn't directly contact her as he took the free swing beside her. Slowly, he started to swing by her, which soon got her attention.
Her head turned to the side, and thus both of their eyes met, two black orbs meeting each other, a spark taking place and thus fate started to change.
