Chapter 11-Big Sis[2].

Rise Of The Godly Manipulators.

A unique spark of life took place between Lex and Tracy as their eyes met, both pools of dark black seemingly lighting up as a gentle smile came to Lex's face as he spoke.

"Hi, my name is Lex. What's yours?"

The question received a sudden reply from Tracy.

"It's Tracy."

The sudden acceptance earned a surprise from Lex, as, according to the memories he had read, Tracy should have brushed him off, being a pain in the ass to hide all the pain in her heart. Though surprising, Lex didn't let it ruin the moment as he asked,

"Why are you alone?"

To this, the girl just hummed as she focused on swinging.

"I just like being alone."

Tracy spoke in a melancholic voice, one that shouldn't be found in a child. Lex hummed back at her as he, too, swung on the swing, a somewhat comforting silence falling between the two of them until Lex spoke again.

"Being lonely makes sure we aren't hurt, right?"

His words brought surprise to Tracy's face as she turned to look at him.

"D-Do I know you?"

She asked, to which Lex spoke.

"I don't think so, big sister….."

"Bi-Big sister?"

Tracy repeated in astonishment as she looked at Lex with widened eyes, her cute face blooming into a beauty coming into view as she finally gave full attention to Lex.

"Well, you are older than me, aren't you?"

Lex spoke, seeing the confusion in Tracy, who suddenly calmed down and just once again turned back to focusing on the swing, though that came with the added twist of her twirling her legs in the swing.

'She still is weak to affection and a life of family.'

Lex mused as he saw the sight in front of him. Tracy has yet to begin her journey towards who she should be, thus giving him the time to strike her when young, getting close to her and securing the safety of his family.

"How about you be my big sister? I always wanted one"

Lex spoke in a calm voice, which only earned a snort from Tracy, who focused on her swing, though once again the movement of her legs got faster.

'Guess I will start things at a time...'

Lex didn't expect to get into her heart today itself, so he spent the rest of the time sticking close to her on her swing, being annoying yet sweet. Lex knew just the amount of work not to make her angry and at the same time, to sow sweet feelings in her heart.

Half an hour later, Tracy's adopted parents came forth and took her away while giving him their thanks and a pat. Lex stayed the perfect gentleman, earning more points from them. He stayed there watching them leave, and then his eyes turned towards the group in the park led by David.

For a moment, their eyes met, and David looked away as he played around with his friends.

'Enjoy it till it lasts....'

Giving his last words to him, Lex left the playground with Kaelum, silence settling between them in the car as Lex spoke.

"I like her; she seems fun..."

His words brought a smile to Kaelum's face. Heck, he had been smiling brightly ever since Lex was talking to Tracy.

'Gotta keep this guy happy too….'

Lex thought as he looked at Kaelum. The man was strong and resourceful, and his true allegiance only lay with his father, but at the time of his death, his father, Logan, had transferred the next right to Kaelum, thus taking his loyalty towards his sister, Tracy.

'This bastard, too, played a role in the fall of my family.'

Being the bastard double spy that kept helping Tracy until he was caught and killed by his mother, which formed another irreparable grudge between Tracy and his family. All this information he took from Tracy's mind when he had awakened his innate gift and saw his family fall.

…..

In this case, 2 weeks passed with Lex going to the same park with Kaelum under the disguise of forming a new friend in the park, which earned him a little ire from his sisters, but he quickly dispelled that.

In the small, serene park, surrounded by lush trees and the gentle hum of nature, a delicate bond was forming between two souls who had known only solitude and heartache. Tracy, the 'mysterious' 11-year-old girl with purple hair and black eyes, had spent years building walls around her heart, determined to shield herself from the pain of loss and abandonment. Lex, years younger but wise beyond his years, had seen past those walls and reached out to her in her loneliness, well, at least that's how things would be seen in the future.

In the days that followed, Lex continued to visit the park with his newfound friend Kaelum, and each time he came, Tracy's defences crumbled just a little bit more. She couldn't deny the comforting presence Lex offered, nor the genuine concern in his black eyes that matched her eyes. It was as though he could see into the depths of her soul, past the scars that had shaped her into a guarded and solitary child.

"Why aren't you leaving me alone?" Tracy's voice trembled as she finally vocalised the question that had been gnawing at her.

Lex paused, his eyes searching hers with unwavering sincerity. "Because you seem lonely," he replied simply, his tone gentle and understanding.

Tracy's initial reaction was to lash out, to push him away as she had done with everyone else who had dared to come close. But there was something different about Lex, something that tugged at the corners of her heart, urging her to give him a chance.

"And what's that to you?!" she screamed, unable to hide the turmoil within her.

The outburst drew the attention of others in the park, including Tracy's parents, who were watching from a distance with growing concern. Kaelum, ever vigilant, stepped in to shield Lex from the impending confrontation, giving him the space and support he needed to handle the situation.

Lex, with a calmness that belied his age, met Tracy's gaze unwaveringly. "It's something to me because I care," he replied, his voice soft but filled with conviction. "I care about you, Tracy, and I don't want to see you suffer in silence, for I can see a kind person within you."

Tracy was taken aback by Lex's response. No one had ever cared enough to break through her defences before, and certainly, no one had ever faced her fiery temper with such unwavering kindness. She felt a confusing mix of emotions swirling within her—anger, fear, and a strange, unfamiliar longing for connection.

As the park's tranquil surroundings embraced them, Tracy's heart was shaken to its core. The memory of her mother's warm embrace and the mystery of her absent father weighed heavily on her young shoulders. She had spent so long believing that solitude was her only refuge, that loneliness was her only companion, that she even refused to get in deeply with her now-adopted parents.

Tears welled up in Tracy's eyes, their dark depths reflecting the turmoil of her inner battle. She turned her gaze away, her trembling hands clenched into fists. She didn't want to let Lex in, to expose the vulnerabilities she had carefully concealed. She was scared of being hurt again, of being abandoned once more.

Lex, recognising the storm of emotions raging within her, crouched down in front of Tracy, bridging the gap between them. He reached out a hand, offering it to her as a symbol of trust and compassion. "You don't have to be alone, Tracy," he whispered, his voice a soothing balm to her wounded heart. "I'll be here for you if you'll let me, and I promise you that I shall never leave you alone."

"I don't want anyone to get close to me," Tracy finally admitted, her voice barely a whisper.

Lex crouched down in front of her, his eyes filled with empathy. "I understand. But sometimes, it's okay to let people in, even if it's scary. And maybe, just maybe, you won't be hurt again."

Tracy's heart wavered, torn between her fear and the warmth of Lex's words. She looked up at him, and for the first time, she truly saw him. His hazel eyes held a depth of kindness that she hadn't encountered before. He wasn't just trying to befriend her; he was offering a lifeline.

A tear welled up in Tracy's eye, glistening like a tiny amethyst. She quickly wiped it away, angry at herself for showing weakness. But Lex saw, and he understood. Gently, he reached out and placed his hand on her shoulder, a gesture of comfort and support.

"You don't have to be alone, big sister," Lex whispered. As he said this, he opened his pinky finger to her, his voice soft, his eyes determined as he spoke.

"I will promise you now that I shall never leave you, that I shall be a friend, a confidant, and a little brother to you if you want me to be...."

For Tracy, those simple words were a lifeline in a sea of uncertainty, her eyes lighting up at Lex's final words, something within her heart stirring. She hesitated for a moment, her purple hair shimmering in the gentle sunlight as the world held its breath. Then, slowly, hesitantly, she placed her pinky finger in Lex's, allowing herself to take the first fragile step toward trust.

For the first time in years, Tracy felt a glimmer of hope. She realised that maybe, just maybe, she didn't have to carry the burden of loneliness all by herself.

At that moment, the world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in their secluded corner of the park. Tracy's parents, still watching from a distance, exchanged knowing glances. They had seen the transformation in their daughter, the cracks in her armour that Lex had managed to create.

As Lex and Tracy sat there, pinky in pinky, they both felt a profound shift in their lives. Tracy's heart, though scarred by the past, had been shaken by the gentle persistence of a boy who saw past her pain and offered her the gift of companionship. And Lex, with his black eyes filled with empathy, had found a friend worth cherishing in the girl with the purple hair and the indomitable spirit, a girl he will be delicately raising with care, until she finds the truth, and that isn't far away.

In the quiet serenity of the park, a new chapter had begun for both of them, one filled with the promise of friendship and healing. Tracy's heart, once guarded and isolated, had started to open up to the possibility of connection and love, all because of a boy named Lex who had refused to give up on her.

Though far away, a boy gazed at all this with confusion in his eyes, his heart hurting for some reason at the scene, the cries of destiny filling his ears.
