“Going out already?”

He nodded to the landlady's question as she prepared warm tea and bread for him.

“What do you mean, because of that?”

Grandmother knew the fundamental reason why Yiwon had come to Russia. Yiwon readily answered the question that was thrown out to him.

“Yes, I managed to find the owner of the house where my mother used to live, so I’d like to confirm the address.”

She nodded and picked up the bread.

“I hope I can find it this time.”

Lee Won answered with a bright smile.

“Yes, that’s right.”

Soon he began to eat in silence. It had been nearly thirty years. He didn’t think he could find him. Besides, all he knew was a common name. The odds were slim. But even if he didn’t expect it, it was hard to give up hope. Lee Won shook off his thoughts and chewed the dry bread with more force than usual so as not to get tired beforehand.

The city councilor's office, located in a newly built building in the city, is powerful just by hearing its location. If you live in Russia, you've probably heard his name at least once. He was a major figure who had great influence, both in the past and now. Including wealth, power, and everything. Of course, he had an indispensable helper.

“How is it? According to Yurihi, everything is going smoothly.”

At Zhdanov’s question, which was soft and flattering, but seemed to probe his mind, Caesar took the cigar out of his mouth and let out a long puff of smoke instead. The slow sunlight streaming in through the window stretched long into the spacious office, casting shadows on the man’s well-polished handmade shoes.

He had not said a word even after twenty minutes of his visit. It was Zhdanov who had called Caesar to his office, even though he had initially refused to come because he had no time, but this was not the way to go. He was expressing his displeasure at having been called here very openly.

Zhdanov had to desperately use the remaining hour or so to get some sort of definitive answer before Caesar could finish smoking his cigar.

“I owed Sasha a lot. We were truly inseparable.”

I brought up the subject of my father and checked his movements, but he still didn’t move. He was acting indifferent, as if it had nothing to do with me. Zhdanov felt a surge of anger inside, but he couldn’t help it. That man was definitely not someone to be taken lightly. Everyone knows that in Russia, if you offend that man, you’ll be a corpse in less than an hour. You have to try to please him and get the answer you want.

“I’m sure Sasha knows. I always keep my promises. This time, I’ll make sure you don’t feel disappointed, so please take care of it.”

This time, I made my request rather directly without beating around the bush. But still, there was no response. Zhdanov, growing impatient, opened his mouth again.

“Tsar, I need a definite answer. Say something, aren’t you delaying?”

Finally, when Zhdanov showed his discontent by revealing his emotions, the man who had been silent until then put his cigar to his mouth and let out a long puff of smoke. Zhdanov flinched at the white smoke that cut through the air as if whistling. Only then did Caesar turn his gaze to him. His expression was still cold, without even a trace of a smile.

“I am a busy man, Senator Zhdanov. You called me here and the only thing you can do is complain.”

“What did you say?”

Zhdanov was appalled by his arrogant question, but fortunately Caesar was faster.

“If it was a deal you couldn’t take responsibility for, you wouldn’t have accepted it in the first place. You knew that, so you asked me. Was I wrong?”

"but…"

Zhdanov hesitated and then continued grumbling.

“I’m sorry, I’m just getting impatient. An unexpected guy is interfering with the work. If the Tsar could intervene, this would be resolved immediately…”

Caesar slowly brought his cigar to his lips and asked.

“That lawyer, you mean?”

Ding dong.

At the sound of the elevator stopping, Yiwon raised his head. Soon after, the doors of the latest high-speed elevator opened, revealing an eerily clean and spacious space. The elevator of the new building, incomparable to the old building where Yiwon and his grandmother lived, was cold and sophisticated enough to reflect Yiwon’s face as he pressed the floor number. He checked his reflection on the wall while holding a sealed envelope. His hair and suit were perfect. He had to be careful not to find fault with even the smallest things in this job. Especially when he thought of the other person.

For several days, Lee Won had to listen to Nikolai's grumblings until late at night. To summarize briefly, it was all about 'they're trying to take away the factory I built with my blood, sweat, and tears by making false documents', but the situation was not so easy. Above all, the other party was bad. If you look at the documents alone, they were clearly forged. Even if Lee Won didn't come forward, anyone would have said it was ridiculous nonsense. The problem was the person who forged the documents.

Georg Zhdanov. Former KGB and current city council member. With his vast wealth and connections, he was not shy about committing all sorts of corruption. With just this crude document, Zhdanov could easily take over the factory. Lee Won didn't expect much of a chance either. But it would be unfair to just let it be taken away. If he didn't fight to the point of saying, "I won't."

The bell rang again and the elevator doors opened a moment later. Looking at the corridor, which was as bright as the inside of the elevator, Lee Won couldn't hide his disgust.

“What brings you here?”

He answered readily to the secretary's question as she stood up from her seat.

“I have some business to attend to, Mr. Zhdanov. I would like to personally deliver this document.”

dripping.

At the sound of a knock, Zhdanov turned his head. The secretary who came in immediately bowed his head politely and said:

“I’m sorry. We have a surprise guest.”

"customer?"

She answered Zhdanov's question with embarrassment.

“That’s it, I…”

“Excuse me, sir. I came here without notice, but you won’t kick me out, will you? I think every citizen of the city has the right to see you. Am I wrong?”

Zhdanov's face twisted for a moment at the sight of the man who appeared behind his secretary, his words flowing out like a stream of clear water. The black-haired lawyer smiled at him.

“I’m sorry to bother you, but I have something to deliver. It looks like you have an appointment…”

The words that flowed out without hesitation as if they had been prepared stopped. The long sunlight that stretched throughout the office illuminated the figure of a man sitting on a luxurious sofa. The lazy afternoon sunlight dyed his platinum hair silver. The man, wearing a deep silver suit with pinstripes, sat with his long legs crossed, smoking a thick cigar and looking at Lee Won. His characteristic deep silver-gray eyes stared at Lee Won coldly as if they were piercing through his entire body. Lee Won knew him. No, he remembered him. Who could dare forget such an intense man?

With his silver-blond hair and his deep silver-gray eyes, he reminded me of a Siberian silver wolf. He was no different from when I met him a few days ago. The discomfort and pressure I felt when I first met him made Iwon realize it all over again. Just a few seconds of silence cut through the frozen air. After a heavy silence that made it seem like someone had swallowed their saliva and the sound would have echoed eerily, Iwon was the first to speak.

“Excuse me, I have been rude.”

Lee Won, who had boldly broken this suffocating tension without hesitation, smiled brightly. The baritone bass voice that had been established early on resonated pleasantly. Lee Won continued to speak without fear or retreating at the gaze of the wolf that was silently staring at his black eyes.

“Here are the documents I’ll be sending you. As I mentioned last time, since you haven’t responded yet, I’ll be taking the initiative. This is the objection application, and this is the court’s stay of execution order. I’ve also enclosed the relevant documents, so please take your time and look through them.”

Zhdanov's face distorted pleasantly at the explanation he added while readily handing over the envelope. Despite the gaze that glared at Yiwon with eyes that seemed to contain murder, Yiwon smiled boldly instead. It was definitely to provoke Zhdanov. Zhdanov gritted his teeth, unable to suppress his rising anger.

“You’re a rookie lawyer, and you want to do this with me now?”

Lee Won answered the question calmly, which was no different from a threat.

“I know this even though I’m a rookie, so I’m sure the congressman knows it, so the factory issue will be concluded soon. That’s good.”

Zhdanov's forehead veins bulged. Oh, my, they said his blood pressure was high. This is going to be a big problem. It wouldn't be a big deal if he collapsed, but it wouldn't be a bother. Lee Won decided to step aside and turned his head. At that moment, what came into view was a silver-haired man sitting leisurely on a comfortable, luxurious leather sofa, his long legs crossed, smoking a cigar.

Until then, Caesar had been watching Yi-won without missing a single moment. From the moment he entered the office, Yi-won was aware of his silver-gray eyes that had been staring at him, so much so that his skin felt tingling. Yi-won had been pretending to pay attention to Zhdanov and deliberately ignoring him, but there was nothing he could do about it.

When he first stood face to face with him, Caesar, who had been staring at him until then, narrowed his eyes. There was no awkward smile or an evasive refusal. Instead, Caesar fixed his gaze on him with his eerie silver-gray eyes, as if he was wondering what to do now. He could have ignored him and left. Like he had done so far. However, Lee Won readily chose to speak to him.

“Hello. My name is Jeong I-won. I’m a lawyer.”

Lee Won, who had been deliberately explaining himself with a smart pronunciation, took out a business card from his suit pocket and handed it to him. He didn't forget to add a faint smile.

“Please take care of me.”

Lee Won greeted him politely as if he was meeting him for the first time. He didn’t want to talk about this and that about their brief and accidental meeting. He didn’t even know if the other person would remember him since they only bumped into each other for a minute. What was important to him now was who this man was. If he was the kind of man who could sit down and talk with Rep. Zhdanov alone, and who was the kind of man who would watch Lee Won’s sudden intrusion without being shaken at all. Was he a mafia member who had joined hands with Zhdanov?

Lee Won, who thought quickly, was somewhat certain of his thoughts. Zhdanov's corruption was well known, and there was no one in Russia with power and wealth who was not connected to the mafia. What he wanted to know was which organization this man belonged to. Lee Won, who was staring at the man without moving as if to say, "Who are you?", opened his mouth, which had not said a word until then.

“My name is Caesar.”

He received the thin business card along with the words and wondered if Lee Won was a foreigner. However, no matter how he looked at it, he was clearly a Russian. The name written on the business card was not exactly Czar, but Caesar. Caesar, I thought, and waited for the next time, but that was all. Caesar simply brought his cigar to his lips and looked at Lee Won through the smoke. Instead of getting angry at the mocking gaze, Lee Won took a polite yet cold attitude. Then, Lee Won gave a short nod and left the office for good this time. He didn’t forget to say hello to Zhdanov. The quiet and measured sound of the door slamming echoed through the office. And then the silence returned.

“That insolent brat! How dare you come in front of me…!”

It was after this that Zhdanov exploded in anger. With a loud shout, he threw down the envelope of documents that Yi-won had brought, and immediately turned to Caesar and shouted.

“Look, that guy! He dares challenge me, I should have taken care of him a long time ago! … Are you listening? Damn him, Caesar! If we leave him alone, he’ll definitely mess things up!”

Zhdanov, who had been excited and called out names, realized his mistake after he had already spilled his words. Fortunately, Caesar did not seem to pay much attention. He may have been ignoring Zhdanov’s words from the beginning. Zhdanov hurriedly cleared his throat and cleared his speech, then opened his mouth again.

“Tsar, are you going to just let that guy go? He’ll probably become a headache soon. If we don’t somehow break his spirit before that happens, we don’t know what kind of problems he’ll cause later. He’s definitely going to be a nuisance and a bother in the future, so it’d be better to get rid of him first.”

Zhdanov tried to persuade him calmly, but Caesar still didn't say anything. He finally opened his mouth in a low whisper, slowly exhaling the last of the smoke after burning the end of his long cigar. His eyes were still fixed on the door through which Yi-won had exited.

"okay."

After leaving the office, Lee Won headed straight to the bathroom at the end of the hallway. Like all the other bathrooms in the building, he went into a clean, business-like bathroom that was equipped with the latest technology. He immediately turned on the cold water, rolled up his sleeves, and washed his face. Only after pouring cold water over himself several times did he finally come to his senses.

His black eyes reflected in the mirror were darker than usual. After letting out a short sigh, Lee Won turned his head and pulled out a paper towel placed on the wall to wipe his hands, but then stopped. The hair on his arm stood up. Only then did Lee Won realize the true nature of the strange emotion he had felt for the first time.

At that moment, a creepy feeling ran through my whole body again, and a cold chill blew into my brain. Just by facing that man, I got goosebumps all over my body. Lee Won hurriedly wiped his pale face with a paper towel and furrowed his brow.

“It really won’t be easy…”

Although Lee Won was lighter than most people, the old stairs would inevitably complain and make a dull scream. He had developed the habit of taking one step and then the next, running up the stairs as if he was flying, perhaps because he found the pitiful screaming pitiful. Lee Won, who had been climbing up the stairs with much lighter footsteps than the creaking sound of the stairs as usual, stopped when he saw the face of a middle-aged man standing in front of his door.

“Uncle Nikolai, when did you come?”

As I approached her, speaking to her in a friendly manner, the man raised his head at the sound of her footsteps and asked her impatiently.

“You went to see Zhdanov today, right? How did it go? Did you talk to him? What did he say?”

I understand your nervousness, but this is not something to talk about at the front door. Instead of answering, Lee Won dug into his pocket, took out his key, and inserted it into the hard hole. The building was worn down here and there, and the keyhole was no exception. Even if he had the key, it would be quite difficult to open the door unless he was used to it through his many years of experience. After hearing a couple of creaking sounds, Lee Won opened the door and quickly turned to Nikolai and spoke.

“Let’s talk inside. It’s a good thing we have some tea.”

Nikolai hesitated, then followed Yi-won into his house. Yi-won used the living room as an office and the room as a bedroom in a narrow mansion with only one room, a living room, and a bathroom/toilet. As soon as he opened the door, Yi-won guided Nikolai into the adjacent office/living room. He took out a pot from the narrow kitchen, poured water, and prepared teacups. He took out the teacups for guests and his own mug, warmed them with hot water, and poured black tea. The teabags he had received as compensation for chasing away the last gangsters who were causing trouble were not expensive, but they had a good aroma. If you mix in some brandy and milk, it will be quite good.

“Would you like some milk?”

“Okay, just lemon please.”

Lee Won took a lemon out of the refrigerator, put a slice in it, made a cup of hot black tea for Nikolai and a cup of milk tea with brandy and milk for himself, and soon returned to the living room where Nikolai was waiting.

“First of all, let me tell you the conclusion. It seems like it will be more difficult than expected. Zhdanov has a hidden card.”

“What is a card?”

Nikolai asked without even drinking the black tea that Yi-won had handed him. Yi-won tasted his own milk tea and unconsciously frowned. He put too much brandy in it.

“It seems that Zhdanov will not easily give up. Of course, he would not have considered any compromise from the beginning. There would not be even the minimum compensation.”

“What are you talking about, who the hell is doing what?”

Nikolai, who had been speaking hastily, pauses for a moment.

“…Could it be the mafia…?”

Lee Won nodded coldly at his question, his voice half-hearted and even his breathing still.

“I’m not sure, but I saw you with a strange man. He’s called Caesar. Do you know him?”

Nikolai shook his head with a puzzled expression, but his face was already bloodless. Yiwon hesitated and opened his mouth.

“I’ve heard rumors that there’s a mafia behind Rep. Zhdanov, but it looks like it’s true. I’ve asked around… It’s most likely Sergeyev. He’s probably a senior member.”

Yi-won took out the business card he had received from the man and showed the back. The moment he saw the gold-printed sentence, Nikolai’s slowed breathing stopped completely. Looking at his pale face, which had lost all its color, Yi-won felt a sense of pity and embarrassment. The victory or defeat was already decided.

Zhdanov alone is a burden, but Sergeev is one of the largest organizations in Russia. Sergeev's name, which is proudly printed on his business card, means that he is a high-ranking official in the organization. If an official comes to the office to talk to him, then everything is already over. Nikolai will lose everything.

Nikolai's trembling hands grabbed the teacup and brought it to his lips. The black tea, which was just the right height, spilled out, but he didn't notice it. Only after he drank the tea out loud did he seem to have calmed down somewhat. Just hearing Sergeyev's name made Nikolai lose all his fighting spirit.

“So now, what should we do?”

It was a question of how he should live from now on. Lee Won saw his young daughter, his pregnant wife, and even the few workers at the factory all pass by before his eyes.

“It is impossible to protect the factory. Instead―”

"instead?"

Nikolai's eyes widened as if he was surprised that there was an alternative. Yiwon opened his mouth carefully.

“I can’t just let it be taken away like this, so I have to ask for the money.”

“Money?”

Nikolai was surprised by the unexpected words and just repeated Yiwon's words. Yiwon nodded briefly and continued speaking.

“I am claiming damages for unjust enrichment. Of course, Zhdanov will never compromise. I think it is impossible to persuade him. However…”

"but?!"

Nikolai urged her to continue speaking hastily. Yiwon narrowed his eyes.

“It’ll be different with the mafia.”

“This is a gift from Rep. Zhdanov.”

What Yurih held out was a small, rectangular object wrapped in a box. Caesar opened the box with a look of annoyance on his face, carelessly untied by the carefully wrapped string.

Inside was a fountain pen from a famous company that was recently put on limited sale. It was limited to 100 pieces and sold out in advance in an hour, so it is currently unobtainable. It is sold at auction for nearly 10 times its original price, but even then, it is an item that is rarely seen.

Yuri opened his mouth at the sight of Caesar looking down at the fountain pen with his initials engraved in gold.

“That’s what you were looking for. Congressman Zhdanov found it.”

He must have heard from 'someone' that Caesar had a hobby of collecting fountain pens. The fact that he managed to acquire one of the few collections he had not been able to amass means that 'someone' knew Caesar well.

Yurihi was startled without realizing it when he saw the silver eyes glancing at him. Oh no. He regretted it, but it was already too late. Yurihi had already confessed. Of course, even if he had pretended not to know, Caesar would have seen through it.

“I thought you said you didn’t like men who talk too much.”

Caesar spoke in a low voice and opened the cap of his fountain pen. Urich bowed his head in haste, apologizing.

“I’m sorry. I thought it would be okay to ask Deputy Zhdanov what to give the Tsar as a gift, so I’ll stop… I’ll be more careful in the future.”

Caesar didn't respond. Urich hesitated and watched the situation, then added after a pause.

“This is just a greeting, and I said I would deal with it separately once the matter is resolved. Are you not satisfied with the item?”

“No, I like it.”

Caesar readily stated his true feelings. Without looking at Yuri's face, which brightened up despite his surprise, Caesar looked down at the tip of his pen and twisted his lips.

“That’s why I’m upset.”

For a moment, Yurihi felt his brain freeze. At the same time, his mind went blank, and he was unable to say anything flattering or excused.

I made that guy mad.

As I swallowed a heavy breath in fear of my mouth drying up, a dull knock was heard and a moment later, the subordinate guarding the front of the office came in.

“I’m sorry, Tsar. Someone came to see me. I promised.”

Yurihi was secretly grateful for the well-timed visitor. With a sigh of relief and a sigh of relief, Yurihi quickly changed the subject.

“Who did you say? I bet you checked the Tsar’s schedule today.”

“Yes, I see that he did contact me, but it’s not on the schedule. He said that he’s the lawyer for a guy named Nikolai, and that he’s looking for ‘Caesar.’”

At the cautious addition, Yuri quickly turned to Caesar and tried to explain.

“As I told you last time,”

“Say there isn't any.”

Caesar cut off Eurych's words as if he didn't need to hear them.

“There’s nothing to say or hear about that. Just struggle as much as you want, because nothing will change.”

"All right."

At Caesar's cold words, the subordinate hurriedly bowed his head and left the office. Urich hurriedly spoke so as not to upset his mood.

“As Senator Zhdanov said, we want to step forward now. What should we do?”

“Send this back.”

That wasn't the answer to the question Yurich had asked. Yurich glanced at the fountain pen that Caesar was putting down and said,

“But it’s a special order. Isn’t it okay to accept something like this? Congressman Zhdanov might be offended and feel disrespected for disregarding my sincerity…”

The sudden loud noise left Yuri without a chance to speak. Yuri, who was startled, reflexively got up from his seat, and Caesar also turned his gaze to the door. With the loud sound of someone kicking the door, the door opened, and Yuri immediately took out his Beretta from his bosom and aimed the gun straight ahead. At the same time, he saw the man who appeared and opened his eyes wide in surprise.

“You seem to be busy, Mr. Caesar.”

Yurihi unconsciously lost himself in staring at the face of the charming beautiful lawyer who smiled brightly as she said those words.

Silence flows through the large office. Lee Won opens his mouth, seemingly showing off his disheveled appearance after the expected fight.

“I apologize for being rude. I’m also busy and can’t always find the time, so I can’t help it. I called you in advance, but you lied and said you weren’t there, so I had no other choice.”

Caesar silently looked at the smiling face of Lee Won. The hair, which was unusually black, was mysteriously dyed blue-black only in the parts that received light, and it had a glossy sheen. The eyes with long, thin eyelids quickly slanted like crescent moons when she smiled, and they looked extremely obscene.

As the long fingers that fixed his tie swept back his flowing hair, his disheveled appearance was immediately restored, but it made him look even more decadent. It would have been better if his clothes were all rumpled and messy. Then he would not have felt the strong desire to rip off that neat shirt and tie his wrists with the tie.

Yuri, who had swallowed dry saliva without realizing it, belatedly realized the reality and hurriedly put the Beretta in his arms.

“Tsar.”

Caesar, who had been staring at the two-faced man until then, opened his mouth at the voice calling him, as if to say, “What should we do?”

“I told you not to meet me.”

“I also said that now is the only time I have.”

Ewon, who answered Caesar's words directly without going through Yuri, took a long stride, straightened his back, and looked down at him.

“I greeted you last time. It was about the factory that Congressman Zhdanov is trying to take away. I guess you have considerable influence over it. Am I wrong?”

When I asked him straight to the point and got to the point, Caesar, who was sitting with his legs crossed and his body buried deep in the leather sofa, took out a cigar case from his bosom with an indifferent expression.

“Well, I don’t know.”

Lee Won glanced down at Yuri, who hurriedly took out a lighter and lit the end of the cigar, seeing him cutting the end off.

“Don’t you remember when we met in Representative Zhdanov’s office? I definitely gave him my business card and introduced myself.”

Caesar did not answer immediately, whether on purpose or as if he was thinking, in response to the question asked with a sharp and sharp pronunciation. Instead, he took a deep breath of the smoke from his cigar. After a few seconds of silence, he finally opened his mouth after blowing out a long stream of smoke.

“Was that something like that? Too bad, I don’t remember. Orientals all have the same faces.”

At those words, Yurih burst into a short laugh. Caesar ignored Iwon with a blank expression. What Iwon did the next moment was something none of them had expected.

“…?!”

Yurihi had no time to stop Lee Won, who immediately reached out and snatched the fountain pen from the table. In the blink of an eye, everything was over. The sharp tip of the fountain pen violently pierced the thick leather of the sofa, and a dull sound like air burst out.

Beyond the pale gaze of Yuri, who swallowed in surprise, was Caesar, still leaning against the leather sofa. Caesar looked into the dark eyes that were glaring at him, a cigar in his mouth.

In his vision, the fountain pen stuck next to his temple was barely visible, and Lee Won's long fingers were still tightly holding it.

This fearless man, whose boldness is an understatement, dared to stick a fountain pen right next to the face of Caesar Alexandrovich Sergeyev.

Yuri was so shocked that his mind went blank. Then, the lawyer who had been leaning over Caesar opened his mouth.

“You will remember now.”

At his low voice, Yurihi smiled and was speechless. Caesar, who had been silent, slowly opened his mouth.

"iced coffee."

The silver-gray eyes were darkly colored.

“I think I know for sure.”

The low voice seemed to secretly sweep over his entire body. Yi-won, who had been quietly glaring at him, raised his waist. He stood up straight and looked down at Caesar, and suddenly smiled brightly.

Yuri was surprised once again. Yi-won looked at Caesar with a refreshing smile, as if he had no idea what had just happened.

“Then shall we continue our conversation?”

Silence flowed. Lee Won continued speaking while facing Caesar, who was looking at him with silent eyes.

“I came here because of the factory and land that Rep. Zhdanov is trying to steal from my client. I suspect you are helping him.”

I deliberately interrupted him, but Caesar did not open his mouth. So he just looked at Yi-won with a strange expression as if he was wondering what he wanted to say. Yi-won did not delay and continued his story.

“As you may already know, Deputy Zhdanov has been under investigation for years for corruption and irregularities. His position in the party is also quite precarious, and I think the party can easily cut off a city council member who has lost popularity in the upcoming elections.”

Yi Won smiled brightly at Caesar, who still remained silent.

“Then isn’t it just a matter of time before Rep. Zhdanov is arrested?”

Suddenly, Yurihi could be heard swallowing his breath from behind, but Yiwon kept his eyes fixed on Caesar and did not move.

“If that happens, not only will you not get the reward you promised, you will also be subject to an unpleasant background investigation. This will definitely not be a good thing for the organization either.”

The two-tone voice sank low, as if seducing someone.

“You wouldn’t want to become a mafia executive and do something that wouldn’t benefit the organization, right?”

Silence flowed. In the office where not even a sound of breathing could be heard, Lee Won and Caesar stared at each other persistently without even blinking. This time, too, it was Lee Won who spoke.

“The necessary documents and conditions are inside, so please check them and contact me. If I don’t hear from you within three days, I’ll come back again.”

It was an incredibly refreshing voice, but it was not reassuring. Anyone would understand why those words sounded like a threat if they saw the fountain pen still stuck in the chair. Lee Won said that and put the envelope he had brought down on the table, then left with a short smile instead of a greeting.

The silence that returned was completely different from before.

“What, what is that kid doing! Who dares to do such a thing to someone? Are you okay, Tsar? Are you hurt anywhere?!”

Yurihi, who had come to his senses, screamed and trembled, but it was already too late. Yurihi, who was berating himself for just looking at him with a blank expression, seriously considered whether he should bring Yiwon and shoot him in the head right now. Yurihi, who had turned around in a hurry to hurry up, asked belatedly.

“Shall I bring it over right now?”

He waited impatiently, as if asking for an order, but Caesar ignored him and turned his head silently. Caesar’s gaze turned to the fountain pen on the sofa for the first time. Looking at his face, which still showed no change in expression, Yurich blushed in embarrassment. Ignoring Yurich’s reaction, Caesar’s long fingers slowly stroked the cold fountain pen. Yurich held his breath and watched him as his elegant fingers wrapped around it as if caressing it. The next moment, Caesar pulled it out in one go and immediately threw it away. The fountain pen crashed into the wall with an eerie gust of wind, and soon it was completely broken and rolled on the floor.

“I guess I can’t return it.”

Yurihi felt goosebumps at the dry voice that still had no emotion at all. Caesar turned his chair and looked straight out the window as he spoke.

“Find out about that guy. His family, his hometown, where he went to school, how many books he has, everything.”

“About that lawyer? But…”

Yuri, who was bewildered by the unexpected order and was about to ask the reason, quickly lowered his head and answered, “I understand.” Caesar’s silver-gray eyes tilted with a strange light.

“I’ve always wanted to raise a tiger.”
