From the beginning of the time we were created, elves had lived a peaceful, cheerful life where there was noise and chatter morning, moon and night.

Our God sent down different heroes, different messengers to help us in our time of need.

Along with elves, there were magical, elegant fairies who had the gift of nature and life itself.Full novel: Rubik’s Adventure — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

As the fairies were magical beings of life, we elves were one with the earth, building, inventing, and discovering tools only for the benefit of the two United Kingdoms.

The fairies were marvelous creatures, but their only flaw was their pride.

They often showed off what gifts they had, and looked down on us, scoffing at our pitiful land, for we elves, didn’t have the magical and tender touch of the fairies to make plants grow, so we never tried, knowing that the earth is where we belonged to.

The earth and all its minerals.

More than often, the fairies would pick up an unnecessary fight with us elves.

Their pride having gone to their head.

Whenever they would fight, they would threaten us by withholding our share of their bountiful supply.

They had clean water, lavish green lands, and beautiful sweet and juicy crops which were harvested and the excess, given to us as per decree…

but the pride of the fairies, thinking that we were all to dependent on them to survive, caused them to treat us however they liked.

If they were not in the very least satisfied, they would threaten us with closing the deal we had with them.

We elves, though strong, refused to fight, as we saw no reason to.

Our God would always send a messenger to us to solve the most terrible conflicts between us and the fairies.

Many a time, the fairies would often refuse to trade with us, but after a few coaxing by our serving king on our behalf, they would be swooned.

But when the tension rose to unbearable heights, and the elves have suffered long enough, our God sends us the messenger to find a solution no matter how unneeded it is.

Centuries pass and the pride and ego of the fairies are as high as the sun, but we elves will try and find a solution to our predicament, so as to relieve our god of the strenuous task of sending down a messenger to us to solve our problems and talk with the fairies.

Of course, whenever the messenger comes, the fairies are humble, nice and welcoming, and agree immediately to trade with us once more, because our God is theirs as well.

More reason why the fairies are full of pride is because our God loves them more, for they gave them the very best gift of all, while our God must have felt pity for us ‘lowly creatures’ as they call us, so they bring down the messengers to give us some comfort for our wasteful existence.

Centuries will pass and one day, we elves will survive on our own, without depending on the fairies for food and clean water.

Jordan read the book over and over again, surprised at how cruel the fairies have been to the elves.

Maybe he could connect the dots together, but first he needed to sleep.

### “When will your lowly creatures ever learn?”.

“Where is your PRINCE?!” “IT IS OVER!” Emily gasped and sat up awake from her nightmare.

She had seen images of an angry humanoid creature, with four translucent wings sticking out of her back, yelling and screaming for no reason.

She looked hideous with her deep scowl and yelling face.

Emily could still hear the phrases yelled echoing in her head, but she couldn’t focus on what it could mean.

She wondered if the ugly creature yelling was a fairy, and thus her hunger for the truth about the feud between elves and fairies had increased.

Now she craved it, and starved for it!

“I have to know” she asserted, “And I have to tell Jordie!”
