(Part 1) 13: Chapter 7: Come at Me Together!
Thrashing Sengoku!
(Part 1) Alex poured the entirety of the crimson liquid from the Health Potion into Whitebeard’s mouth.
The moment the liquid grazed the old man’s cracked lips, the miraculous effects of the Reincarnation Space item instantly took hold.
In mere seconds, the gruesome stab wound piercing his chest began to mend at a visible rate.
The mangled flesh knitted back together, and even the half of his face that had been melted by Akainu’s magma stopped bleeding.
Beneath the charred crust, the faint pink hue of newborn skin emerged.
“Haa…” Whitebeard slowly opened his eyes.
A fleeting look of confusion crossed his clouded gaze, quickly replaced by an astonishing, piercing sharpness.
Instinctively, his massive hand tightened around the haft of his naginata.
His towering, twenty-foot frame swayed slightly as he forced himself upright through sheer, brute strength.
Alex met his gaze for a second before shaking his head.
A pale blue holographic panel unfurled in his vision: [Name: Edward Newgate.
Tremor-Tremor Fruit User.
Reincarnation World Native Entity…] ‘Just a native, as expected.’ Alex withdrew his gaze, completely losing interest in the legendary pirate.
Next, he locked eyes with Blackbeard.
If this guy turned out to be a Fallen Reincarnator, it would save him a lot of hassle.
He could simply kill Teach, use the Dark-Dark Fruit to absorb the Tremor-Tremor Fruit, and reap both abilities at once.
A win-win.
Unfortunately, the text that popped up still labeled him as a “Native Entity.” Alex frowned.
‘Could the Fallen Reincarnators be hiding within Luffy’s protagonist crew?’ As he pondered, a heavy thud echoed from behind him.
Akainu had leaped onto the frozen sea.
He violently tore off his Marine Admiral’s coat and threw it onto the ice.
Both of his arms had completely transformed into flowing magma.
The bright orange glare illuminated half his face, and the surrounding ice sizzled and melted, sending thick plumes of white steam into the air!
“I don’t care who you are,” Akainu growled, his voice hissing like a red-hot branding iron.
“But before you go playing doctor with the enemy, shouldn’t you consult the victors first?” Alex stopped and swept his gaze across the battlefield.
The Marine powerhouses had already begun to encircle him in a triangular formation.
Fleet Admiral Sengoku had shrugged off his signature “Justice” coat, revealing his crisp uniform adorned with the seagull crest.
Among the Warlords of the Sea, Hawkeye rested a hand on the hilt of his Black Blade, Yoru.
Kuma raised his hand slightly, the paw pad on his palm emitting a faint, pulsating blue glow.
Alex remained completely unfazed.
“Fine.
All of you, come at me together.
I’m in a hurry.” He needed to scan every single person present today.
There was no way the Fallen Reincarnators would miss out on the Paramount War—it was the perfect opportunity to completely derail the timeline.
And the most efficient way to make these arrogant, unruly natives cooperate with his inspection was to beat their absolute strongest into utter submission.
“Arrogant brat!” Akainu barked a furious laugh.
He lunged forward, his magma fists bringing with them a rolling wave of blistering heat that warped the very air.
Alex casually raised his left hand.
Instantly, a transparent wall of ice erupted from the ground.
Towering dozens of meters high, its interlocking glacial spikes formed a crystal fortress that completely separated him from Akainu.
*BOOM!* The giant magma fist slammed viciously against the ice wall, resulting in a deafening explosion.
However, Akainu’s pupils shrank in utter disbelief—the seemingly fragile wall of ice didn’t even crack!
The magma he took such pride in merely sludged down the face of the glacial barrier.
The moment it made contact, it lost all its heat, solidifying into chunks of dull, gray-black igneous rock that clattered uselessly to the ground like discarded slag.
“That…
that’s impossible!” Akainu exclaimed in shock.
He had sparred with Aokiji countless times, and his Magma-Magma Fruit had always maintained an absolute elemental advantage over the Ice-Ice Fruit.
Yet the ice wall standing before him felt harder than diamond!
Alex glanced at his panel, confirming that Akainu wasn’t one of his targets, and dismissively waved his hand.
A tidal wave of absolute cold swept over the Admiral.
Still frozen in his punching stance, Akainu was instantly encased in solid ice—a stunning sculpture of crimson and stark white, the look of profound astonishment permanently frozen on his face.
“If you don’t attack together right now,” Alex said, his gaze sweeping over the remaining combatants, his voice even colder than the glacial wall, “you won’t even get the chance.” Sengoku stepped forward, rolling his neck.
His joints let out a series of sharp cracks.
He completely stripped off his uniform jacket, revealing a hyper-muscular physique that entirely belied his advanced age.
“It has been a long time since I’ve seen a young man as exceptional as you,” Sengoku stated grimly.
“Boy, allow me to test your mettle!” Before his words even faded, a blinding, golden Buddhist light erupted!
