I walk back over to Anduda, laying in a pile of wolves, asleep. Awwww cuuuuute... Looks like we aren't getting any practice with your other spells in today...
I sit down next to them, my tail laying next to me.
This is still all surreal... Sometimes it feels like this is how it always was, and sometimes it feels like I am somewhere I am not supposed to be... I forget I was ever not this... Other times I feel like I'm an imposter in my own skin... Is it because of the gender, or the race? Is it a combination of the two? I'm starting to have almost full control over my body, and I know I feel more agile than I did before... I just don't want to fall on my tail again...
"Shit!" Someone from my left screams, making me jump. I turn to find a couple of people huddled together, looking around frantically. Fearing the worst I hop up and teleport over, startling a few people and even myself as I didn't even think about teleporting at the time.
"What happened?" I ask quickly.
"Spell hit me in the leg..." A man says through his teeth, clutching a burnt and bleeding leg that is twisted slightly. A woman standing over him and shaking, tears in her eyes.
"Alright, lets get you to the healers." I pick him up, startling him as he grunts from the pain of being moved. "Just bare with it while we move you." The woman gets a weird look on her face and looks as though she is about to say something, but keeps it to herself.
"We? You are carrying me alone!"
"Uh... I? Anyway, doesn't matter." I start to walk him over to where Nabe is, as I can see his little ears in the crowd of healers on the other side of the field near the other groups. We had the mages separate further from the rest of the people as mages have wider range attacks that could catch others if we aren't careful. The man pushes my shoulder slightly and I have to pull him closer to me to make sure I don't drop him.
I am kind of scared to test this now... but fuck it, lets see if I can do this.
I try to teleport over close to Nabe's group, feeling the air warp around me as we appear a few meters from them, making a large amount of them jump and yelp.
"Nabe, we need a healer." I say, placing the man down as he is slightly dazed from the teleport, grunting as he lands on the grass.
"Alright, thank you for bringing them over." He says, crouching down to the man.
I let out a sigh and start to walk over back to my group. I teleport next to them, startling more of them making me chuckle a little.
"Are they going to be okay?" One of them asks.
"Most likely." I think the late game healing magic could regrow a few limbs... possibly even most of their body.
"U-um..." The woman who was crying starts to speak up. "Are you sure..?"
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure we could heal somebody who is almost cut in half, not that I would want to test that."
"Okay... I am going to go be with him... Thank you for moving him." She gives me a nod before starting to jog over to the healers, who are now chatting with the man as he stands up and shakes out his leg.
I let out a sigh and walk back over to Anduda, who is still as asleep as can be, surrounded by fluff... I'm kind of jealous actually... It seems like a really good nap...
I sit back down next to them, my tail resting next to me as the new wolf looks up at me from the bunch, getting up with a small shake. It walks over and lays down next to me, so I start to pet it lightly. I look out into the field at all of the people casting their spells, most of them with a lot of effort, and having their spells act wildly. A few of them arc around in some odd directions, but nothing a little bit of practice can't fix. Hell, that's why we are here in the first place. I lean on the wolf and rest my head against it, adjust for my horns as I feel like the small breathing from them might knock me out if I am not careful.
I hear a few grassy footsteps from behind me.
"Bored yet?" Leo asks.
"Kind of, but it's also nice to relax like this a little, it has basically been one thing after another since we got here..."
"I know what you mean, though I think I have been doing a little more than you." He walks over and sits down next to me.
"Probably you damn workaholic..." I laugh.
He lets out a chuckle as I sit back up and look over to him.
"What can I say, I always wanted to be a guild leader... Never thought I would actually get to be one though." He shrugs, looking over to me.
"You always seemed to have fun roleplaying it, you seem to fit right in here."
"That's what she said." He says with a smile.
"Oh fuck off, that was a bad one!" We both laugh for a moment.
I calm myself down, letting out a sigh, "It's been nice to actually be able to do something in the world, rather than kind of just going with the flow."
He looks to the field. "You know, I don't think I would have liked this if I was the only one. And it actually makes me really happy that I was the one that you came to when it all started."
"Not like I had anyone else to go to." I shrug as he turns back to me. "I actually don't talk to anyone else on my friends list anymore. Not that it's a lot of people..."
"Oh, speaking of which, why didn't you contact your brother, or..." He looks to Anduda, "sister, first?"
"I uh..." I scratch my cheek, "Kinda forgot they played it... They only played for the first few days."
"Ah, that's why..."
"Yeah... I didn't even know if they would be here, I kind of question what the threshold was for being put here. Like, did you only have to play it once, and what if you had played one someone else's account longer than they did? Do you still not get put in if you don't have a character?"
He stares at me blankly before starting to laugh. "What!?" I ask.
"I just didn't expect you to be so cute talking about that." He chuckles a little more as I feel my face heat up.
"Don't call me that..." Not that I hated it...
"Awww cmon? Big bad dragon can't take being called cute?"
"You motherfucker." Not like I wanted to be put in this body...
"You two going to kiss already?" Anduda asks, startling both me and Leo as we whip our heads over to her as she is rubbing her eyes.
"Huh!?" Why are YOU of all people saying that?!
"Nah, she turned me down, I was heart broken." Leo says, making me whip my head back to him.
"You never asked me, don't lie to her!"
"Oh? Would you want me to?"
"Huh!? Why would I?!"
"You are blushing pretty hard." Anduda chimes in again, smirking.
"Why are you taking his side!?"
"Cause it's funny to see your reactions." She shrugs.
"Goddamnit..." I look to the side. Why the hell did that effect me so much anyway...
"You did already see me basically half naked." He says, making me remember it again... Not like I really hate it though...
"And you saw me fully naked..." I respond, making Anduda's mouth drop.
His face starts to get red and he looks away from me quickly, he must either be remembering it, or started imagining what I would look like without clothes right now. I look back to Anduda who still has her mouth open.
"Oh, I guess you want an explanation..." She nods her head quickly, finally closing her mouth. "When we first got here I went over to his place, being the only person I actually knew. When I was changing out of the armor I was in when I was last playing, I hit de-equip instead of just equipping the other armor because that's what I would do with the game... So um, flashbang for him."
"So, did you like it?" She asks him. What the actual fuck has gotten into you!?
"Not like I would have been able to long... Had an interruption..." SO YOU DID LIKE IT!? I growl at him, his face gets even redder and he turns completely away from me.
"An interruption?"
"Dumbass barged into my office whenever everyone is supposed to knock first, he understands what he did wrong though." He says, still not facing me but with a hint of anger.
"Um, do I know Dumbass?" She asks with a smile that I don't really like the look of. The fuck are you planning?
"Oh yes, you have met them. It was Reggie."
"Of course it was... Can I kill him?" What the actual fuck!?
"No need to go that far!" I yell.
"If you say so." She shrugs.
Leo rubs his face quickly and turns back to me, still very red and clearly not comfortable look directly at me. "I think everyone here is probably getting a little tired, do you think it would be a good time to head back?"
"Probably, I want to have Anduda test some of their skills first though." I say.
"Okay, I'll head back to everyone after that then... I... Don't think I should go back to them looking like this..." He scratches his cheek.
"You better not be thinking about me naked again. You could always just ask to see." I smirk, slightly making myself embarrassed in the process.
"Stop acting like a slut." His face goes red again, but clearly not from anger.
"Only if you stop acting like a perv."
He lets out a sigh, "First time I have been called that."
"First time I've been called a slut too. So it's even." I look over to Anduda, "Well? Want to try some of your spells?"
"We can... But I don't really want to stay out here too much longer..."
"Why?"
"I'm hungry..."
"Oh... We can just head back now if you want then, we don't have to do it today."
"That would probably be best..."
We stand up, the blush on Leo's face fading as we walk back over to everyone else.
"Alright!" Leo calls out, right back into character huh? "We will be packing up and heading back, I hope everyone was able to get together and help each other out! If you find anything else out, don't hesitate to message me, we can use all of the information we can get!"
"You sure like taking charge huh?" I whisper to him.
"Have to play my part." He shrugs, smirking at me.
