I let out a long sigh as we walk back into Leo's office, flopping forward onto the bed and kind of uncomfortably landing on my boobs, but shaking the feeling off quickly. The ride back was just as bumpy as the ride there, and I am now fully socially drained. I hear Leo let out a sigh as he walks to the side of the room with his desk on it. I peak up at him without lifting my head much to see him looking through paperwork on his desk.
"Take a break would you?" I say, slightly muffled by the covers as Anduda hops up onto the bed next to me.
"Some of these are time sensitive though." He says as he moves some papers to the side. "Some, on the other hand, are definitely not... Why the fuck does someone want to put out a quest for finding their lost sandwich?!"
I giggle at him getting annoyed. "Not like we never had something like that in the game. I still remember doing that April Fools quest for that damn lollipop."
He chuckles, "Yeah, that shit took me like 3 hours to figure out."
"Same."
He lets out another sigh, "Did you ever get that one raid quest done for Temporal Dilation? The one with the ghost kid?" He says as he stamps a quest with an ink stamp.
"Yeah, did it with a random group, why do you ask?"
"There was a cool bit of lore behind it that people found out a few months after the quest released."
"What was it?" I ask while pick up my head and resting it on my hands.
"Apparently that child was-" He looks up at me freezes, coughing and blinking a few times before looking back down at the papers.
"What?" I tilt my head.
"Nothing..." he says quickly.
"Your tail is slowly wagging." Anduda says, making me instantly embarrassed. I didn't even feel it doing that...
"Anyway..." He looks back up at me, hopefully ignoring my reddening face. "That child was supposed to be a messenger sent by the goddess Lienna. He was supposed to gather in one of the towns to spread to the people a message that was supposed to bring them peace." He puts a stack of papers to the side and puts his elbows on the table and leans forward with a serious look in his eyes. Oh... that look's kinda hot... Wait... What the actual fuck am I thinking!? God damnit... You guys teasing me earlier has me fucked up...
He continues, seemingly not noticing my inner turmoil, or at least not showing it. "He got captured by a few people from the town, claiming him to be a heretic against the goddess, and thrown into a dungeon; what we now know as the raid. Lienna then threw the dungeon, and the town, with the people that did that to the child, into time. It was lost without any known time for years to the outside world, until they both came back, twisted together like some sort of macabre chimera. It's why you can find people still alive, meshed into the walls of their homes."
"I really don't want to go there now that we are actually here, even if it is a lower level than Korus..." I shiver at the thought of coming across real people screaming for help like that...
"Mhm, I am kind of surprised it took people that long to find the info, though I think it was added in after they added the raid."
"Guess they just wanted to add to the time anomaly they made." I shrug. "It kind of adds to the mystery, since the child had no voice lines or text dialogue. Just pointed at shit you needed to interact with."
"Yeah, it was a little boring doing that quest without any info, the money and the outfit you got was nice though."
"Yeah, I did like seeing the ghost like effect on the clothing... I kind of wonder what it looks like now..." Wait... NOPE! I am not wearing that, it looks like a damn wedding dress, because that is what I picked... I feel my face start to head up again, I really need to stop doing this to myself.
"Oh... Me too, I'll equip it to check." He stands up and walks to an open part of the room. At least it will be a suit for him, he did pick the suit right?
He equips it, the suit fading in around his body right before his other clothes disappear, at least we didn't get flashed... A shimmering blueish white suit shifts around him, looking like it isn't entirely there. Dress shoes with black laces, pants that are seamless and seem to move just behind his body's movements but is still on him. The suit top shifting around like it doesn't have a specific point in space that it belongs, the coattails flowing like it is mostly weightless.
"That looks really weird." Anduda says, and I just nod.
"It's kind of hard to see it myself, but it feels really weird. Almost like I am wearing a very thin cloth, and its a little cold." He moves around a little more, seemingly leaving a trail of mist behind where the suit moves. "Do you mind equipping yours so I can see it better?" He asks me, and I instantly freeze up.
"I-i-i won't be doing that..." I look to the side.
"Why not?" Anduda says, and I half turn to her. "I kind of want to see what the suit would look like on you..."
"Because um... It, it wouldn't be a suit..."
"Oh!" Leo quickly says, "I forgot it had an option for you to pick, the other one was a dress right?"
I nod. "mhm... and it looks like a wedding dress..."
Anduda gasps. "Getting married already!?"
I knew you would say that... asshole.
"I will not be equipping that."
"Oh come on! Not like I haven't seen you naked before, a dress like that is nothing!" He says, and I am honestly a little tempted to see how it looks on me, but I really don't want to do it in front of anyone.
"Yeah! I want to see what it looks like on you!" Anduda speaks up again. Don't agree with him!
"God damnit you two!?"
"It's just us here, everyone else wanted to clean up before coming back." He shrugs.
I growl, knowing that I am about to give in to peer pressure. "Fine damnit! Only this once!" I push myself up with a huff, growling at them once more as I walk over to the open space that Leo leaves for me as he walks over to the bed and sits on. I pull up my menu and quickly find the 'Temporal Gift' set, equipping it.
The dress fades in like it did for Leo, appearing just enough to not show anything while the other clothes disappear. I chillness washes over where the dress starts to lie on my body, but not to the point of making me shiver. A blueish white headdress falls over the back of my head and starts to float around in the corners of my eyes. I look down at myself as I shift slightly on the heels it puts me in and stare directly into my exposed cleavage, feeling my face heat up again. I twist my upper body to look down at myself, the headdress falling just behind me, the torn and tattered fabric floating almost weightlessly behind me. Some of it's pieces completely separated, yet still moving like it is one whole and connected piece. The dress is the same color as the headdress, clinging to my body with nothing going over the shoulders as it fits almost perfectly with my shape, making me even more embarrassed. The dress falling to the floor and moving around with it feeling like there is always a light breeze brushing over it. I feel my tail start to pull towards my legs as I pull my arms to my stomach.
"Y-you can take it off now..." Leo says quickly.
"You were the one so insistent on it!" I almost yell.
"An-and now I have seen it, you can take it off." He quickly looks away with his face completely red. God fucking damn it I turned him on again!?
"Okay..." I switch back into my casual clothes, Leo still looking away, with Anduda looking between us with a smile. You little shit... I teleport next to her and quickly pick her up, her yelp filling the room. "Having fun, are we?"
"I was having fun! You had to ruin it..." She says turning to me as I hold her in a princess carry.
"Yes, yes I did, when you are having fun at my expense." I need to get my mind off of the dress...
"So you just don't care about my feelings on this?" Leo says, glancing back at me and taking off the suit.
"You can deal, they are my sister anyway, I have to say something back." I smirk.
Anduda rolls her eyes, letting out a long and drawn out sigh. I toss her onto the bed in a little arc as she lets out another yelp, falling onto the bed with a giggle. She sits up and squints her eyes at me with a smirk.
"How about now that we have dressed up, why don't you hop back into that dress I made you?"
"Nope, I'm good." She shakes her head.
"Awww..." I play pout, giving her the best fake puppy eyes in the world.
"You... You won't trick me with that!"
"Worth a shot." I shrug, sitting back down on the bed. "HIiaaaahhhh!?" I recoil back with my tail as something glides against it, sending a tingling sensation all the way up my back and causing me to arch my back oddly.
"Sorry!" Anduda says as she holds her hands up. "I think my hair just brushed against your tail, I'm really sorry!"
"I-it's f-fine..." I let out a few quick breaths, shivering slightly.
"It doesn't sound like it is..."
"N-no really, it's f-fine... I-I just n-need a second..." I try to calm myself, the tingling sensation constantly rushing through my spine as I take long and shaky breaths. That was overwhelming! I continue my breaths, my tail wrapped around me and away from everyone in the room. I glance back at the others as they both look at me with concern.
"Are you sure you are okay?" Leo asks.
"Y-yes... That was j-just... A lot..."
"I'm sorry..." Anduda says, looking down.
"Like I said... I-it's fine... You didn't mean it." The feeling is finally starting to fade...
"Um... Alright, well, do you guys want to go out to eat?" Leo suggests.
"I'm fine with that." Anduda says.
"Yeah... just... one minute..." I have to say, unable to get my nerves in check.
After about 5 minutes, I finally feel mostly normal as I get up and shake out my tail. We head down the stairs and out onto the street.
"Where are we going to eat by the way?" I ask.
"There is a place I saw while walking through that does hotpots. I figured we could give it a try sometime."
"They have hotpots here!?" Anduda says.
"Oh god, you've set her off now..." I sigh.
"I'm guessing she likes hotpots..?"
"Mhm..." I nod.
"I haven't been to a hotpot in months too!" She says, practically skipping around at this point.
"Well, you aren't going to be able to back out of this now." I say to Leo with a smile.
"I noticed." He says, smiling back.
We make it to the hotpot place in a few minutes, walking in. A waitress walks up to us quickly.
"Hello, table for 3?"
"Yes." Leo says, as Anduda almost runs circles around me. The waitress smiles at Anduda before leading us to our table. She probably thinks she is a kid... Well, maybe not, dragonkin live for a long time, but Anduda is acting like one so who knows?
We get sat at our table and Anduda's face lights up even more seeing the hotpot in the center.
"Here's our menu, we have recently acquired a small stock of specialty alcohol that is catered to dragons, would either of you like to try it?"
That... Kind of sounds like it could be nice. I'm surprised they have that though, but maybe they aren't as worried about my kind as other people... "I'll try one." Even if it is strong, I should be fine, I've always had a high tolerance for alcohol.
"No thanks, I'll just take water." Anduda says.
"Would you like something to drink too?" She asks Leo.
"Something light, if you don't mind."
"Alright, I'll get those out to you shortly." She gives us a smile and walks away.
Leo starts to look over the menu, glancing between a few different points on it. "So what do you two recommend? This is my first time going to a hotpot."
"I want at least one batch of whatever their spiciest is. Oh! We should get a ton of meat too!" Anduda speaks up excitedly.
"It will probably be the same for me too, we should probably split it with a mild just in case its overpowering."
"Alright, I'll just follow your leads." He puts down the menu as the woman comes back with the drinks, setting them down and taking our order. I take a sip of the drink and... Holy fuck that's good!
