The Pompadour Zombie, who had previously worn slicked-back hair and a suit, completely shed his greasy domineering-CEO image and transformed into a Little Blue delivery worker.

He stood at the door, grinning foolishly at Wen Chi.

Inside, Jiang Jiming noticed the movement at the door. The moment he stepped out, he saw a zombie he found extremely unpleasant to look at, all showy and flamboyant, smiling at Wen Chi.Full novel: Secretly a Half-Zombie in the Apocalypse, the Mad Villain Fell for Me — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Wen Chi.”

The moment Wen Chi turned and saw Jiang Jiming, she reacted quickly. She immediately pushed him back into the kitchen, covering his mouth with her hand as she spoke,

“You’re human. There are a lot of zombies outside, don’t come out yet. I just asked them to help deliver something.”

The instant Jiang Jiming’s mouth was covered, he caught the sweet scent coming from the girl.

Even though he had held her while sleeping the entire night before,

not a trace of her scent had lingered on him.

His darkened gaze fixed intently on Wen Chi.

It seemed… it still wasn’t enough.

Feeling the warmth against his lips, he struggled to suppress the urge to fiercely kiss her.

Seeing that Jiang Jiming remained silent, Wen Chi removed her hand and walked back to the door.

Then she received the deliveries brought by her zombie helpers.

Bag after bag—soon everything had been brought inside.

Wen Chi watched as the zombies left in the elevator.

The group hiding in the stairwell had witnessed everything.

All of them stared at each other in shock, their eyes filled with disbelief.

“Did you see that just now? That girl can control zombies!”

“Is that an ability? Or is she actually a zombie herself?”

“I think it’s an ability. She looks completely normal, not like a zombie at all. And did you notice? Everything she had the zombies bring was human food.”

“How could zombies possibly eat human food?”

The second-in-command analyzed calmly.

“If it’s really her ability, then that’s insanely overpowered! In the apocalypse, someone like her could walk sideways!”

“Yeah, she can command zombies and live like before the apocalypse at home!”

Everyone couldn’t help but show envy, each secretly wishing that they were the one who had awakened such an ability.

“Brother Gang, with such a powerful ability, can we even take her down?”

Xu Gang thought for a moment before speaking,

“From what we can tell, there should only be her in that room. We have so many people, and her ability is to control zombies. Once we get inside, there won’t be any zombies for her to control—we’ll take her down in one move.”

“Or we could make her join us and use her for our benefit.”

“When we go in tonight, don’t kill her first. We’ll capture her, then make use of her. That way, food, drink, and safety for all of us will be guaranteed.”

Xu Gang could already imagine how comfortable his life would be once he had that girl.

Moreover, she was exceptionally beautiful. Letting her follow him and be with him would not be a bad choice.

If she bore him a few children as well—

that life would simply be perfect!

The others didn’t know what Xu Gang was thinking. They only knew that following an Ability User meant survival, so they began flattering him endlessly.

“Brother Gang’s plan is brilliant, as expected of an Ability User.”

“Yeah, we really made the right choice following Brother Gang.”

The second-in-command, however, understood Xu Gang’s thoughts. Looking at the door of Room 414, he fell into contemplation.

After Wen Chi finished moving everything inside, she opened the kitchen door and found Jiang Jiming still standing there without moving.

“Why are you still standing here like a fool? Come help sort things.”

Wen Chi grabbed Jiang Jiming by the wrist and pulled him to the doorway, then waved her hand grandly.

“Look! This is the empire I’ve conquered for you!”

Jiang Jiming smiled helplessly and played along,

“Then I thank Your Majesty Wen.”

“You’re welcome.”

After that, Wen Chi released his hand, took a tablet from one of the many bags, and happily rolled onto the sofa.

Jiang Jiming was left standing there, staring at his wrist, the tips of his ears turning red.

Wenwen held my hand just now!

Wenwen even gave me gifts!

Does Wenwen… like me too?!

Jiang Jiming looked at the snacks and vegetables in the bags with delight.

To him, they were like his children. He carefully stored them on a separate shelf in his space—

and even took out a lock to secure them.

Wen Chi knew nothing of this. Holding the tablet, she began searching for a show to watch.

There was no helping it—the apocalypse was too boring. Only novels and dramas could keep her company.

That evening, after happily finishing the pickled fish and scrambled eggs with tomatoes that Jiang Jiming had made,

Wen Chi took a shower. When she came out, she saw Jiang Jiming leaning against the living room wall, watching her.

This time, Wen Chi had learned her lesson and dried her hair in the bathroom beforehand.

Jiang Jiming looked at her dry hair, pressed his lips together slightly, then lowered his head.

“Are you going to shower?”

Wen Chi stepped forward and asked, noticing that he seemed a little down.

“Can I?”

Jiang Jiming looked at her, his eyes full of light.

“Of course.”

“Do you need sleepwear? I can have Pompadour Delivery send some.”

Because everything had been rushed the night before, she hadn’t arranged things properly for the villain, and she felt a bit guilty.

After all, he had cooked so much for her.

“No need. I have clothes.”

Jiang Jiming replied. As soon as he entered the bathroom, he was surrounded by the sweet scent of a young girl.

He touched her towel, her bath towel.

Soft… so cute.

After his shower, Wen Chi saw Jiang Jiming standing around with nothing to do and immediately pulled him to the sofa.

“Sit. Let’s watch some TV.”

Wen Chi felt that she had really become bold—she even dared to treat the infamous crazy villain like this now.

She felt quite guilty about her earlier misunderstanding of Jiang Jiming.

Jiang Jiming happily leaned closer to the girl, looking at her fair and slender neck.

Fresh from the shower, she still carried that sweet scent,

and an inexplicable heat rose within him.

But when Jiang Jiming turned his head and saw what was playing on the tablet, his smile froze.

On the screen, two men were passionately kissing.

Meanwhile, Wen Chi watched happily, her eyes filled with a kind of excitement he had never seen before.

Jiang Jiming stared at the tablet in disbelief, then quickly shifted his gaze to Wen Chi.

His Wenwen couldn’t watch things like this.

His Wenwen could only look at him!

Tonight, he would delete everything on that tablet!

Outside the door, footsteps drew closer.

Wen Chi was completely immersed in the tablet and did not hear a thing.

Jiang Jiming, of course, heard it. A murderous glint flashed in his eyes.

There were always some rats trying to disturb him and Wenwen.

All of them deserved to die.

Jiang Jiming took out a cup of milk from his space and handed it to Wen Chi.

Wen Chi accepted it naturally and drank it.

Not long after, a strong wave of drowsiness washed over her.

Something wasn’t right. She used to be great at staying up late—why had she been getting sleepy so early these past few days?

Before she could think further, she fell asleep while holding the tablet.
