Lawyer Vance Jenkins opened the black folder again.

You did not read it.”

Lawyer Vance Jenkins said to Evelyn Ross, “The hidden clause says you must marry Damien Vance at city hall tomorrow morning at eight o’clock.
It also says you must move into Damien Vance’s bedroom tonight because his dangerous enemies are already watching you.”
Evelyn Ross felt a shock in her chest.
