Wen Miaomiao felt that during the latter half of the night, she was brought back to life only to die again, dying only to be revived once more.

In a dazed state, she let him do as he pleased.

Later, she became unbearably thirsty.Full novel: She Looks Obedient, But After Marriage, She Turns the Arrogant Boss into a Dog — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He said, “I’ll get you some water.”

After drinking the water, Wen Miaomiao was dragged back to the sofa by him for another round of intense activity.

The next morning.

The alarm went off. Wen Miaomiao slept until ten o’clock, feeling as if her body had been completely drained.

Is this man even human? Where does he get all that energy?

She sat up weakly, took a moment to recover, and looked at the empty bedroom, her mind feeling somewhat blank.

From the bathroom came the sound of a door closing.

She looked up and saw Gu Yan, bare-chested, his hair half-damp, a white towel wrapped around his waist, those well-defined abdominal muscles…

The sexual tension was off the charts.

“Why haven’t you left yet?” Wen Miaomiao blurted out.

Gu Yan walked over, frowning unhappily, went to the bedside table, took out a pack of cigarettes, and lit one.

“Treat me like a gigolo? Sleep with me and then kick me out?”

His tone was filled with anger.

Wen Miaomiao quickly shook her head and explained, “No, I thought you had to go to work.”

Gu Yan smirked mischievously, “I’ve taken marriage leave, a whole month. I don’t have to work at all.”

“A whole month?”

Wen Miaomiao felt her vision darken… as if the sky had fallen.

Gu Yan held the cigarette between his lips, deliberately leaned close to her face, blinked, and said, “Yes, a whole month. I’ll keep you company.”

Wen Miaomiao swallowed hard, “I don’t need you to keep me company. You should go to work.”

Gu Yan smiled, his eyes crinkling. He took a drag from his cigarette, the pale gray smoke swirling around, veiling his handsome face as he spoke slowly.

“The old man gave me orders. My top priority right now isn’t work, but… producing offspring.”

Wen Miaomiao tightened her grip on the blanket, her heart sinking as she immediately objected, “I don’t want to have children!”

Gu Yan raised an eyebrow, crushed the cigarette butt forcefully into the ashtray.

“We did it so many times last night. Who knows if it worked.”

Wen Miaomiao panicked even more. She wasn’t ready to be a mother yet!

Seeing her expression, Gu Yan smiled, hugged her head, and planted a firm kiss on her forehead with a loud smack.

“Just kidding, I used protection.”

“Get dressed. I’ll take you downstairs for breakfast.”

Wen Miaomiao breathed a sigh of relief and shot him an exasperated glance. This dog of a man was truly something else.

Wen Miaomiao went to her suitcase to get her clothes.

Gu Yan dressed while watching her and said, “Take your things out and arrange them properly. Don’t act like I’m mistreating you.”

Wen Miaomiao crouched on the floor and turned to look at him.

“My things… don’t match the style of your room.”

Most of her belongings were pink—towels, small decorations, custom-made cups, and so on…

Gu Yan, wearing a white shirt, bent down, took a pink ambient light from her suitcase, and placed it directly on the bedside table.

“Put all these bottles and jars in the bathroom, and your clothes in the walk-in closet.”

Wen Miaomiao carefully arranged her things, and finally, the suitcase was empty.

The two went downstairs for breakfast.

Butler Bai stood nearby, carefully observing their interactions.

“Miss Wen, if you want to receive packages, you can use the villa’s address or a city location. I’ll send someone to pick them up,” Butler Bai said.

Wen Miaomiao nodded, “Okay.”

Gu Yan put down his chopsticks unhappily and glared coldly at Butler Bai.

A sharp glare sent Butler Bai bowing his head, trembling as he asked, “Third Young Master, did I say something wrong?”

Gu Yan replied coldly, “What do you think?”

Butler Bai was thoroughly frightened, lowering his head and eyes in submission.

Seeing this, Wen Miaomiao also wanted to put down her chopsticks, but Gu Yan stopped her, speaking gently, “You keep eating.”

Gu Yan looked at Butler Bai, his expression stern, and said calmly, “What did you call her? Miss Wen? We got our marriage certificate yesterday. What should you call her?”

Butler Bai nervously swallowed, keeping his head down as he answered, “Young Madam.”

Gu Yan gave a satisfied hum, then said sternly, “Deduct one thousand. You may leave.”

Butler Bai immediately retreated, not daring to come any closer.

He never knew which word might provoke this plague god.

Gu Yan then took the initiative to serve Wen Miaomiao more food, his face full of tender affection. “Baby, eat more.”

Wen Miaomiao finished her meal and took a sip of milk.

She still felt a bit tired, her body weary. Looking up at him, she whispered, “I want to go back to the room and rest.”

Gu Yan nodded in agreement. “Let’s rest together.”

Wen Miaomiao pursed her lips, hesitated for a moment, and decided against resting after all.

“I want to go home. I miss my parents, my eldest brother and his wife, and my sister.”

“Oh, but we just got married. It hasn’t even been three days, and you want to go back to your parents’ home?” Gu Yan was very displeased.

“What kind of marriage is this? We didn’t even have a wedding ceremony—we just got the certificate. Why can’t I go home?” Wen Miaomiao retorted.

Gu Yan took her small hand, thinking she was complaining, and immediately said to her seriously…

“If you want a wedding, I’ll make it up to you later.”

Wen Miaomiao withdrew her hand, pouting as she said, “Who wants that.”

Gu Yan still tried to soothe her.

“In two more days, I’ll accompany you back to the Wen family home.”

“Really?”

“Of course. I, Gu Yan, keep my word.”

Only then did a smile appear on Wen Miaomiao’s face. She took out her phone to chat with her best friend.

That’s when she discovered that the top trending topic in the city was the marriage alliance between the Gu and Wen families.

The last-minute switch of the marriage partner had embarrassed both families.

Fortunately, the Wen family had received financial assistance and would continue to benefit from the Gu family’s support in the future.

“Want to go upstairs and sleep a bit more?” Gu Yan asked, looking at her.

“No, I’m not sleepy,” Wen Miaomiao said cheerfully, getting up and walking to the sofa to play on her phone.

Gu Yan walked over, pulled her to sit on his lap, his large hand wrapping around her slender waist. His gaze was deep, his warm breath enveloping her as he looked intently at her delicate features…

“Baby, your eyes are so beautiful.”

Wen Miaomiao’s face flushed slightly. Gu Yan cupped the back of her head, and as she lowered her head, her pink lips met his.

“Since baby took the initiative to kiss me, baby has to take responsibility for putting out the fire.”

“…What fire?”

“My desire.” Gu Yan decisively picked her up in his arms, stood up, and went straight upstairs to their room.

Several maids downstairs whispered among themselves.
