King Liam II and Queen Aethia were discussing important matters with rulers from several other kingdoms.
The large royal hall suddenly became quiet.
The doors opened.
Mira entered while holding Rai.

Everyone looked toward her.
King Liam II stopped speaking.
Queen Aethia stared at Mira.
The soldiers stood silently.
Even the visiting rulers became completely distracted.
Mira’s beauty had caught everyone’s attention.
One of the soldiers stepped forward.
“We have never seen this woman in the city before.” King Liam II looked at Mira.
“Who are you, young woman?” Mira gently held Rai closer.
Then she lowered her head slightly and answered in an innocent voice.
“I recently arrived here.” “My husband abandoned me…” “Please don’t do anything to us.” She looked down at Rai.
“I still have my two-year-old son.” Rai quietly played his part.
He looked completely innocent.
King Liam II remained silent for a moment.
Then Queen Aethia spoke.
“Very well.” “You may stay.” King Liam II nodded.
“Yes.” “You are welcome to remain in Arcan City.” Mira smiled.
“Thank you.” But…
Someone else in the hall had been staring at her the entire time.
King Forma.
The moment he heard that Mira had been abandoned…
His expression completely changed.
He suddenly stepped forward.
“Please…” “Come with me.” Everyone looked at him.
King Forma continued without hesitation.
“You don’t have to suffer anymore.” “You and your son can stay with me.” Mira blinked.
King Forma’s face became slightly red.
It was obvious.
He was basically proposing marriage.

Rai immediately sighed.
“Here we go again…” Mira struggled not to laugh.
“Awww…” “They’re so cute.” Rai looked completely unimpressed.
“Mother…” “Please.” Mira finally turned toward King Forma.
She smiled politely.
“I’m sorry.” “But I’m doing just fine.” King Forma froze.
His face slowly turned red.
He didn’t know whether he should blush…
Or feel heartbroken.
Mira gently bowed.
“Thank you for your kindness.” “But I must decline.” King Forma stood there silently.
“…I understand.” Mira then turned around.
“Come on, Rai.” Rai nodded innocently.
“Okay.” A moment later— FLASH!
Mira teleported away with Rai.
Back at their new home…
The moment they arrived…
Rai’s disguise disappeared.
His body returned to his true form.
The innocent two-year-old child was gone.
Standing there was Rai Kisaragi.
His usual calm expression returned.
His presence was completely different from the harmless child everyone had seen moments ago.
Mira placed the shopping bags down.
Then looked at Rai…
And suddenly laughed.
“Hahaha!” Rai looked at her.
“What?” Mira smiled.
“Don’t worry about it.” “They’re all so cute.” Rai sighed.
“Mother…” Mira laughed again.
For the first time in a very long time…
Their new life in the Human World was beginning to feel almost normal.
But neither of them knew…
That somewhere in this world…
The seal of the Oblivion Core was still waiting.
And one day…
Everything would change.
