Spring had arrived, and the alpaca at home was in heat.
It wasn’t until Tie Jun ran out of the house for the thirteenth time that Tang Zhiwu realized the severity of the situation.
Sitting on the sofa, she fell into deep thought.
From the moment she was born until now, there had never been a single male creature around her.
After the campus heartthrob senior sent her flowers, he inexplicably started vomiting;
When the aloof classmate invited her for an evening stroll, he kept tripping and falling;
The warm-hearted junior who waited for her after class ended up failing all his subjects mysteriously at the end of the semester.
This caused all the male university students who coveted her beauty and were eager to make a move to become utterly discouraged, not daring to approach Tang Zhiwu, the so-called “jinx,” even half a step.
With such a peculiar constitution, the task of finding a healthy male alpaca to help Tie Jun relieve his desires was truly daunting!
Just as she was pondering how to solve this awkward physiological issue for Tie Jun, the restless alpaca slammed the door open again and dashed out, leaving Tang Zhiwu with nothing but a carefree silhouette.
“Tie Jun!!”
Afraid that this silly creature might run into trouble on the road, Tang Zhiwu, her face pale with fright, shouted loudly and quickly stood up.
Without even changing out of her pajamas, her fair legs scurried frantically as she chased after Tie Jun. All the solutions that had flashed through her mind vanished in an instant.
Fortunately, the privacy of the affluent neighborhood was excellent. Most of the wealthy residents here were busy working elsewhere all year round, and there were hardly any people her age.
As a lifelong singleton, Tang Zhiwu dared to chase after him with disheveled hair and an unkempt appearance, striding boldly without fear of being seen by some handsome guy.
Tang Zhiwu lived in the most upscale and luxurious affluent neighborhood in the southern part of Shu City, all thanks to her domineering CEO mother, who was constantly traveling and busy with work.
Her poor father had died in a car accident on the second day after her birth, just as he was about to visit her in the hospital.
Her bedridden CEO mother shed only a single tear before waving her hand grandly and decisively writing down her name on paper.
Tang Zhiwu.
Her father’s name was Tang Wu. Whether in matters of love or descendants, her mother stopped at Wu. After that, she dominated the business world, never allowing another man to stand by her side.
Watching Tie Jun run faster and faster across the lawn ahead, gradually becoming more unruly, Tang Zhiwu furrowed her brows, curled her red lips, and threatened,
“Tie Jun! Stop right there!!! Otherwise, when I catch you, I’ll take you to get neutered!!! You’ll never feel good again!!”
The girl’s originally sweet voice gradually amplified in the air, taking on a somewhat menacing tone.
Perhaps Tang Zhiwu’s threat had worked, as Tie Jun, who had been running nonstop ahead, miraculously slowed down and stopped on the lawn.
Never expecting this randy alpaca to actually listen to her, Tang Zhiwu, who had been sprinting at full speed, quickly slammed on the brakes.
“Ouch!!”
“Thud!!”
A cry of pain accompanied the sound of something hitting the ground. The pampered only daughter of the Tang family fell flat on her face, and her phone also met a glorious demise.
Rubbing her arm, Tang Zhiwu’s pretty face twisted into a pained expression, her features all scrunched together.
After turning over, her first instinct was to check her phone.
Stretching out her hand to pick it up, just as her fingers were 0.01 meters away from the phone, a dirty, mud-covered hoof stepped directly onto the already cracked screen.
Crack.
The screen, which hadn’t been too badly damaged before, was now completely beyond repair under the weight of Tie Jun, the overweight alpaca.
Tang Zhiwu stared at the phone for a long time, her gaze following the fat hoof to the face of the culprit.
Tie Jun had something in his mouth, and Tang Zhiwu couldn’t quite make it out clearly against the light, but she could clearly see the indifferent expression on the alpaca’s face.
Letting out a cold laugh, Tang Zhiwu gritted her teeth and issued a final ultimatum to this lawless alpaca:
“You’re done for, kid!”
Fortunately, when Tang Zhiwu fell, she had used her hands to cushion the impact, which spared her frail body from much harm.
There were no scrapes, just a slight ache in her waist.
Struggling to her feet, Tang Zhiwu finally saw what Tie Jun had in his mouth.
A beautiful, clear jade pendant.
It was a transparent white in color, shaped like a long oval, with intricate hollow carvings resembling cloud patterns.
It seemed to be surrounded by a faint white halo. Just being near it made Tang Zhiwu feel cool all over, and the pain in her body lessened considerably.
It was clearly not something cheap—likely a precious item lost by one of the residents here.
Tang Zhiwu carefully put the jade pendant away, planning to post a lost-and-found notice in the residents’ group chat after buying a new phone.
Once she had a plan, she grabbed the collar around Tie Jun’s neck and led the deranged alpaca, limping, toward the phone store in the residential complex.
Due to her physical condition, Tang Zhiwu’s domineering mother had ordered that all staff in the complex, except for security guards, be replaced with women.
Picking up the latest model of a fruit phone, Tang Zhiwu, under the strange gaze of the female clerk, casually said, “Put it on Mrs. Tang’s account.” With that, she and the alpaca turned and left.
Upon returning home, Tang Zhiwu’s first move was to lock Tie Jun in the backyard.
She sealed off all possible escape routes and even canceled her earlier plan to find him a male alpaca companion.
Standing at the garden entrance, Tang Zhiwu pointed at the restless Tie Jun and said fiercely, “Whether you survive this mating season is up to your own fate!”
No matter how much Tie Jun howled or sprayed saliva, Tang Zhiwu remained cold and indifferent. She took the phone and the jade pendant and went inside.
The porcelain doll Tang Zhiwu had now turned into a mud doll.
Unable to stand the grassy smell all over her, she didn’t immediately post the lost-and-found notice in the WeChat group.
Instead, she casually activated her new phone, placed it on top of the jade pendant, and then ran upstairs to shower and change.
The screen of the newly activated phone lit up, and at that moment, the jade pendant beneath it suddenly began to tremble.
A soft glow flickered, and a white mist instantly enveloped the entire phone.
The slowly flowing air seemed to take on a pattern in that instant.
After a long while, the white mist suddenly burst with light, filling the entire first floor of the villa.
In the courtyard, Tie Jun, who had been howling, suddenly fell silent, just staring blankly at the light that shattered through the glass.
No one noticed this strange phenomenon. The only person in the villa was blissfully taking a shower in the second-floor bathroom.
In an instant, the light dissipated like flowing water, and the stagnant time and air around it once again vanished into space.
When he looked toward the jade pendant, it appeared no different from its ordinary state before, except that the phone lying quietly on it had been turned on.
On the home screen, aside from the system’s default apps, there was an additional green app downloaded—WeChat.

New book: Cross-Time Romance.
The female lead is a modern person, the male lead is from ancient times. It’s not a traditional time-travel story; there’s a medium connecting the two timelines.
Simply put, the female lead can travel to the male lead’s side through this medium, and the male lead can also come to the modern era through it.
Of course, there are triggering conditions; it’s not random.
The female lead is a silly, beautiful, spoiled, and dramatic young lady, while the male lead is the Cold-Faced King of Hell who kills without batting an eye!!
On the surface, it’s a strong male lead and weak female lead, but in reality, the female lead has the male lead wrapped around her finger, and the male lead is a total simp!
Lao Ma is not a history student, so the historical references included are all a mishmash—semi-fictional and not meant to be scrutinized. If you can’t handle it, dear readers, feel free to click away!
