“Has Aron not arrived yet?” Gu Ye asked Zhou Yue.
“Not yet. A while ago, Aron’s secretary messaged me saying they were stuck in traffic. They should be here soon.”
“Hmm.” Gu Ye rested his hand on the table, tapping it idly.
Not long after, Aron, the vice president of Daisy, arrived in a hurry, followed by his secretary.
“So sorry, Gu. The traffic was terrible,” Aron said apologetically to Gu Ye.
Gu Ye stood up and shook his hand, unconcerned. “It’s fine. Traffic in the capital is always bad. Please, have a seat.”

After Aron sat down, Gu Ye motioned for Zhou Yue to pour him some tea.

Aron smiled and agreed. “OK, I’ll definitely take them back to share with others.”
Aron set down his cup and looked up at Gu Ye. “Gu, the reason I came to see you today is to ask for your help with something.”

“That’s right. This time, we want to select a global spokesperson specifically for Daisy’s entire lipstick series. There’s a slight difference between the two.”

Zhou Yue, standing nearby, silently thought to himself, Somewhat acquainted? More than that…

Gu Ye frowned slightly, genuinely unsure who Aron was referring to. He glanced at Zhou Yue for clarification.

Sensing their confusion, Aron thoughtfully turned the iPad toward Gu Ye and pointed to the photo.
“It’s this girl here.”
“Wen Nuan,” Gu Ye murmured softly as he looked down at the screen.
“Is that her name?” Aron smiled. “What an interesting name. Could you help me get in touch with her, Gu? If she’s unavailable, I’ll look for someone else.”
Gu Ye heard Aron’s words, his tongue pressing against his back teeth as he felt somewhat troubled. Anyone else would have been fine.
But Wen Nuan was Ji Yan’s wife. Even for a simple cover shoot, that guy kept a close eye on her, afraid someone might lure her away.
Given how petty that guy was, this really wasn’t going to be easy…
