Lin Yue quietly returned to her desk.

Tomorrow was the weekend, finally a proper two-day break. Since President He would be on a business trip until the following weekend, she technically had nine days off while still receiving her salary. Just thinking about it made her happy.

The secretary took a sip of water, already imagining how she would spend the nine days. After all, during her internship, she hadn’t taken a single day off.Full novel: So This Is What You’re Really Like, Secretary Lin — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Just as Lin Yue was daydreaming, He Yuan called, “Secretary Lin, come here.”

She quickly got up and walked over.

“Zhou Yunce just called. His mother is hospitalized and will need about a week. Regarding the cultural and tourism city project in Z City next Monday, it’s been temporarily decided that you’ll go with me. Zhou Yunce will send you all the project materials soon. You can review them over the weekend and also arrange the travel itinerary for this trip.”

“Okay.”

Lin Yue’s voice trembled slightly.

He Yuan thought she was nervous and comforted her, “It’s fine, I’ll be with you. This project is large, but if you can manage it, you’ll learn a lot.”

“….”

She wasn’t nervous. Faced with such a large, complex project, she was actually a little excited. The only disappointment was that her vacation had already been cut short before she could enjoy it.

Over the weekend, Lin Yue spent both days buried in data and materials.

This project was a collaboration between Hengxing and local enterprises, the first cultural and tourism project of its kind, with a total investment exceeding 15 billion.

The project was located between three tourist zones in Z City, including resort construction and some theme entertainment facilities, like an aquarium and amusement park.

The theme park alone would cover nearly 100,000 square meters.

Whenever He Yuan went on a business trip, he would usually notify Qian Ayi. Except for his clothing, she would handle all the arrangements.

When she learned that He Yuan would travel on Monday, Qian Ayi immediately called Lin Yue to arrive early and help pack his luggage.

These tasks were already part of Lin Yue’s job, but He Yuan was considerate and didn’t want her to make an extra trip.

Lin Yue was a bit surprised. On Friday, it had been arranged for Yu Zhao to drive her from No. 3 Garden, so why was it suddenly changed?

She didn’t think much of it and assumed it was He Yuan’s instruction.

So, early Monday morning, when Aunt Luo took her husband to the hospital, Qian Ayi went to the market with the driver.

Of course, it was a high-end market for wealthy people.

Lin Yue entered the house after scanning her fingerprint and entering the password.

She looked around but didn’t see He Yuan, assuming he was still asleep.

She went straight to the wardrobe to help choose his outfits for the week. At that moment, He Yuan walked in wearing only a towel.

Their eyes met, and Lin Yue almost dropped the tie in her hands.

Normally, He Yuan’s hair was neatly parted and styled. Even though Lin Yue came by every morning, his hair looked casually styled, not like now.

The damp hair in front of his forehead was pushed back randomly, giving a slicked-back look. It wasn’t dripping wet, only partially dried, and he had come over without properly drying it.

His upper body was bare, showing off a well-toned physique.

Lin Yue wasn’t particularly attracted to overly muscular men but thought proportion was important.

He Yuan’s body was perfect. His abdominal muscles were well-defined but not exaggerated. The lines on his sides were neat, subtly drawing attention.

Perhaps noticing Lin Yue’s fixed gaze, He Yuan cleared his throat and said, “Secretary Lin.”

She immediately snapped out of it, awkwardly looking away and slightly bowing, “Good morning, President He.”

“Morning. What are you doing here?”

“Qian Ayi asked me to help pack for your business trip.”

Also, she hadn’t intended to stare—it was simply normal appreciation from a female perspective.

He Yuan nodded, pretending to be calm. “Wait outside. I’ll change clothes.”

Lin Yue put down the clothes and left the wardrobe.

Once she was gone, He Yuan’s stiff back immediately relaxed.

He looked at himself in the mirror. Not bad, right? The secretary seemed to be looking for a while.

After changing and styling his hair, he went to the living room but didn’t see Lin Yue.

He checked the corridor and balcony outside. Still no one.

Returning to the living room, he walked toward the small dining area and suddenly saw Lin Yue in the kitchen wearing an apron.

The apron perfectly outlined her slim waist.

He Yuan walked over, “Secretary Lin, why are you cooking?”

Lin Yue was startled but didn’t react loudly. She tightened her grip on the spatula and replied, “Qian Ayi went to the market. She asked me to prepare breakfast for you.”

He Yuan stood slightly behind her on the left side, “Have you eaten?”

“President He, I have.”

She had grabbed a piece of toast and milk earlier, since she was starving.

The ingredients were prepared by Qian Ayi. Lin Yue cooked an egg and bacon, and heated a cup of milk.

While He Yuan ate, she sat across from him, going over the business trip itinerary.

“The weather in Z City is hot and dry these days. The CEO of the partner company, Mr. Yu, will pick us up. We’ll stay at Yunxing Hotel. Flight departs at 9 a.m., landing at 11 a.m. They booked a private room at a famous restaurant for lunch, followed by a two-hour break and then an afternoon tour…”

“Secretary Lin,” He Yuan suddenly interrupted, “Where’s your suitcase?”

“At the entrance.”

He checked his watch. “Let’s go. It’s about time.”

They had two suitcases in total. His was very large and Lin Yue couldn’t carry it herself, luckily Yu Zhao was there.

He Yuan glanced at Lin Yue’s small gray suitcase, “Just this much?”

Lin Yue replied, “It looks small, but it holds a lot. I packed everything I need.”

She had minimized bulky skincare and makeup items into small samples.

Clothes didn’t take up much space, only two pairs of shoes, including heels for formal occasions.

The flight would take two hours. It was Lin Yue’s first time on a plane. She prepared carefully, observing how others behaved to avoid revealing her inexperience.

The plane tickets weren’t purchased by her but by Zhou Yunce, so she was stunned when she realized she would be flying first-class with President He.
