BOOM!
The enormous Commander’s hands clapped together as Asmodeus stepped back to safety in time.
"Heh." He groaned. "What’s a male doing with a Succubus anyway?" The Incubus asked. "Is she about to drain you? Hahaha! Did we interrupt her meal or something?" The ground trembled as he stepped towards Asmodeus.
"You’re really heavy," Asmodeus commented, almost impressed that he could feel the tremors produced by his steps moving through the earth. "How does one get so fat anyway?"
The Commander’s smile disappeared.
To Asmodeus, it was a legitimate question. Succubi and Incubi didn’t really need to eat. Eating was more of a pleasurable hobby or something they were forced to resort to if there were no suitable, drainable targets to be found.
The fact that the Commander had gotten so fat, had acquired so much excess energy, was a testament to his strength. At least, that’s what Asmodeus thought.
"You little shit," The Incubus cursed under his breath. "I’m going to snap your arms like twigs."
"Go on, then," Asmodeus said daringly.
The huge Commander stepped closer, and Asmodeus’s bare foot dug into the earth as he twisted his waist and drove his fist directly into the Incubus’s enormous stomach.
BAM! Boooinnnng!
"Huh?" Asmodeus frowned.
The impact sent the Commander’s many layers of flapping fat rippling.
’What was that?’ Asmodeus asked himself, watching as the Commander’s entire body shook.
"Hehehe..." The Incubus chuckled. The hit hadn’t made it move an inch.
Asmodeus pulled his fist back and threw another punch.
"Hohohohoho!" The Incubus laughed out loud as a flurry of punches landed on his stomach in quick succession. "That tickles, boy!"
Asmodeus aimed for the stomach, chest, sides, and back. Every area had the same effect, close to none. Apart from the sending of ripples through all that fat.
"HAHAHA!" The Incubus’s body wobbled as Asmodeus continued attacking.
"Tsk." Asmodeus clicked his tongue as a massive hand came down. He ducked beneath it and jumped back.
"What’s wrong?!" the Commander shouted. "Come on!"
Asmodeus looked at his own fist with a raised eyebrow. ’There’s something going on here.’
"My body you tried making fun of," The Incubus explained. "My body you all seem keen on making fun of... Is an impenetrable barrier! An impregnable suit of armor!" The Commander slapped his enormous stomach with both hands, causing more waves to travel across his body. "Nothing gets through!"
Asmodeus narrowed his eyes.
"Nothing?"
"That’s right!"
"Mmh..." Asmodeus thought for a moment. ’He isn’t trying to attack me or even come for me. Is he waiting for me to tire myself out or something?’
"How are you doing, lil bro?" Zarath shouted from the other side of the battlefield. "How is your first fight going?"
"It’s going alright," Asmodeus answered as he turned towards her. "It’s interesting, to say the least."
"Haha," She chuckled. "If you need help, just call out my name, alright? I’ll..."
"You dare look away from me?!" The lanky Commander shouted as he threw a downward kick after spinning in the air.
"Alright, alright." Zarath dodged as his heel hit and cracked the ground. "Let’s focus up."
"Come at me." The Commander slapped his stomach again. "Lil bro!"
Asmodeus’s eyes narrowed. "Don’t call me that," he said coldly before propelling himself towards the Incubus.
’Huh?’ The Commander felt momentary pressure as Asmodeus didn’t punch but laid his palm against the Incubus’s stomach instead. ’What is he planning to...?’
BAM!
A powerful shockwave travelled through the Commander’s body.
"Even the force that blew Saphyra away isn’t enough to make you step back," Asmodeus noted. "Your magic is quite powerful."
The Commander spread his arms invitingly.
"Go on! Lay it on me! More!"
Asmodeus obliged, sending another blast of repulsive force that struck the Incubus squarely in the side.
His flesh rippled violently.
’It’s not just his body,’ Asmodeus thought. ’His magic absorbs the shock. Or rather, disperses it throughout his entire body, diluting and weakening it.’ He nodded to himself. ’His huge, fat body is an addition, something that makes his magic stronger.’
Asmodeus found the fact that the body could be changed to assist and strengthen one’s magic very interesting.
’The bigger his body is, the bigger the area on which his magic can spread the impact.’

"Let’s focus up," Zarath said, and an invisible fist passed within an inch of her cheek. "Oh." She smiled. "Your friend is starting to move as well."
The lanky Commander attacked from the right, while the invisible Commander came from the left.
Zarath’s boots carved twin trails through the red earth as the invisible Commander’s hit landed on her defensively flexed arms.
She had judged him to be the weaker one physically, and was proven right.
"Invisibility, huh?" Zarath turned towards the third Commander. "It’s a nice trick."
The lanky Commander took the opportunity to attack from behind her. He extended his arm forward with great speed, determined to pierce through her back with his sharp claws.
But Zarath turned around at once.
"Too rash," she whispered with a devilish smile, her fist shooting towards his stomach.
Crack- Crack-
The skeletal Incubus jumped back as his protective barrier broke.
"So that’s your magic," Zarath noted, licking her lips.
"What about yours?" he asked with narrow eyes, noticing his comrade approaching to attack Zarath from behind. "What is your magic?"
"Mine? Frankly, you’re better off..." Zarath snapped her head back, chin lifting. "Not knowing about me."
The lanky Incubus clicked his tongue. ’You dumb fuck... That was the opportunity to finally damage her.’
But the third, invisible Commander thought otherwise.
’No, if I had gotten any closer there... I would have died!’ His legs started trembling. ’What was that? For a moment, a red tinge appeared in her eyes...’ He gulped. ’Could she be... Could she be toying with us?’
All of a sudden, the third Commander became entirely unsure that they stood a chance despite outnumbering the two.
’Could we... Actually be in trouble?’
Zarath smiled as she noticed the third’s fear. She turned towards the bony one. "It’s clear you three aren’t high-ranking Commanders," she commented. "The two of you, you and the fatty, don’t have much firepower. You’re all defense. Invisible guy over here isn’t the type to thrive on the offensive either."
"What are you trying to say?" The Incubus spat on the ground.
"Your group has no cohesion." Zarath sighed with a shrug. "It’s clear you were put together at random."
A dozen steps away,
’No firepower?’ Asmodeus thought. ’I don’t think so. This guy is...’
