Iron Man’s comedic moment quickly ended, and as a veteran superhero, he immediately entered combat mode.

“Fury sent me to help.

This bad guy looks like a bit of trouble,” Tony Stark said.Full novel: Spider-Man’s Multiverse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Thanks, Mr.

Stark,” Peter replied.

“You should say this to Fury.

I will handle the left half, and you handle the right half, okay?” Tony suggested.

“Completely agree.

I was just about to say the same thing,” Peter said.

Their first meeting as superheroes was surprisingly smooth.

Just as Karl King realized something was wrong, a scorching energy cannon shot from behind.

The blast flew right between Karl King’s two halves and smashed into the street.

Boom.

The shockwave blasted Karl King’s left and right sides far away from each other.

Because his body was made of a living swarm of spiders, splitting him apart made him move much slower.

Breaking the swarm apart seriously weakened his power.

This was Karl King’s biggest weakness.

“Now!” Peter shouted.

Peter pushed off the Spider-Motorcycle, launching himself forward like a red and blue blur straight at the right half of Karl King.

Karl King had just stumbled and was barely getting back to his feet when Peter punched him hard through the air.

Karl King was stunned for a second and was about to laugh it off.

But Peter spoke first.

“Spider-Man does not use the same move twice if it does not work.”

Since physical attacks were ineffective, Peter decided to try a special attack.

He was going to use electricity.

Using his mind, Peter focused on the blue icon on the Web of Fate that represented Miles Morales’s electric shock power.

The icon glowed with a bright blue light.

Suddenly, Peter felt a large amount of his energy drain away.

In its place, bright blue sparks started dancing across his fist.

Blue electricity jumped between the tiny spiders, and the smell of burning bugs filled the air.

“No!” Karl King screamed for the last time.

On the other side of the street, Iron Man was much better equipped to handle a villain who could break his body apart.

One explosive missile was enough to wipe out countless spiders at once.

Tony Stark always believed that the best way to win a fight was with overwhelming firepower.

When Peter finished off his half of Karl King, Iron Man flew back over.

Only a giant mess was left behind him.

The glowing rockets on Iron Man’s armor slowly powered down, and he landed softly on the ground.

He lifted his metal boot and stepped on the last surviving spider crawling in front of him.

A faint crunch echoed in the quiet street.

That tiny spider held the very last piece of Karl King’s mind, and now it was dead.

This meant Karl King was gone for good.

If even one spider had escaped into the sewers, it could have multiplied.

Karl King would have eventually gotten his power back and returned to get his revenge on Spider-Man.

Iron Man’s faceplate suddenly flipped open, showing Tony Stark’s handsome face.

He wore his usual relaxed smile.

He was the famous boss of Stark Industries and a key member of the Avengers.

“I like your Spider-Motorcycle.

It is a fun toy,” Tony said, looking at the bike.

“I heard Fury used a lot of vibranium to build it.

If it was painted gold, I think I would like it even more.”

Vibranium?

Peter was shocked.

No wonder the motorcycle was so tough.

It did not even break after crashing into Grizzly from high up in the sky.

Vibranium was a super metal that could absorb almost any impact.

Peter was surprised that Nick Fury was willing to use something so rare and expensive on his bike.

It showed that Fury was really serious about building a top-tier team for Spider-Man.

Suddenly, a familiar voice called out from above, cutting off their conversation.

“Tony, I heard you say my name.

You are not talking badly about me behind my back, are you?”

Peter and Tony looked up at the sky.

They saw Nick Fury sliding down a steel cable from a hovering Quinjet.

Fury’s sudden arrival showed just how interested he was in the Spider-Swarm.

After all, he was the second person in New York City to get spider powers. Find the original chapter at novelpin‌g.com.

The first was Spider-Man, and the second was the Swarm.

The paranoid and careful leader of S.H.I.E.L.D.

knew this was important.

The spider swarm was a valuable research sample that needed to be collected and studied right away.

Soon after, S.H.I.E.L.D.

found out the truth about how Karl King turned into a monster.

Karl King was completely obsessed with Spider-Man.

Two weeks ago, he broke into the Osborn Radiation Biology Research Center and ate hundreds of spiders that were used for a science display.

The S.H.I.E.L.D.

agents learned that the center had recently lost some radioactive materials.

The spiders Karl King ate were likely exposed to that radiation, which caused his body to mutate.

It would take a lot of time to fully understand Karl King’s mutated genes.

Dr.

Kurt Connors did some early tests and found a unique mutation in the spiders’ DNA.

If they could figure it out, it would be a massive breakthrough in modern science.

Peter quickly heard about the investigation.

He was completely shocked by how crazy Karl King really was.

Who would ever think to eat hundreds of spiders just to get superpowers?

Sometimes, it was not science or high-tech gear that made a supervillain.

It was just a twisted, broken mind.

With the threat gone, Peter started getting ready for his next trip.

The seven-day waiting period passed quickly.

Besides Grizzly and the Spider-Swarm, no other bad guys caused any trouble in the city.

Peter had a very relaxing week, and his mind and body were in perfect shape.

On Monday night, after eating dinner and saying goodnight to Aunt May and Uncle Ben, Peter put on his Spider-Man suit.

He filled his web-shooters all the way up and packed a few useful items into his backpack.

Then, using his mind, Peter opened the glowing Web of Fate that only he could see.

“Let us see what the next universe number is.

I hope it is not a weird one,” Peter said to himself.

As Peter watched, a new glowing circle appeared on the web, right next to Miles Morales’s universe, which was numbered 1610b.

A line of numbers slowly formed in the middle of the new glowing spot.

It was 96283.

Representing Earth-96283.
