Earth-96283.

Peter stared at the newly appeared number, drawing a complete blank.

Because the Marvel multiverse was so incredibly chaotic and complex, he only remembered the most famous ones.Full novel: Spider-Man’s Multiverse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He knew Earth-616 was the main Marvel universe, 199999 was the cinematic universe, 2149 was the zombie universe, and 1610 was the Ultimate universe.

“As long as it is not one of the dark Marvel universes,” Peter muttered, a cold chill running down his spine.

If he landed in one of those nightmare realities, he would struggle just to protect himself, let alone save anyone else.

Once the destination fully locked in, a brilliant golden light erupted in the void.

The glowing threads rapidly wove together, opening a swirling portal straight to Earth-96283.

A powerful blast of spatial turbulence rushed out of the vortex, scattering papers all over his room.

By the time the air settled, Peter had completely vanished.

Earth-96283.

It was still the highly familiar concrete jungle of New York City.

High above the busiest street in Manhattan, an unfinished elevated transit track hung abruptly in the air.

The line was strictly closed to the public, yet a commuter train packed with passengers was currently speeding down the rails at an astonishing speed.

Standing at the very front of the runaway train was a man wearing the classic red and blue Spider-Man suit.

This was Peter Parker, the Spider-Man of Earth-96283.

Inside the chaotic driver’s cabin, the train conductor stared at a broken dashboard.

“Spider-Man!

The control levers were destroyed by that octopus monster!” the conductor screamed in terror over the howling, violent wind.

“Do you have any ideas?”

“Do not worry, Mr.

Conductor,” Spider-Man called back.

“Spider-Man always has a solution.”

His confident words helped reassure the terrified passengers, but no one could see the deep unease flickering in his grey-blue eyes beneath the mask.

This challenge was absolutely unprecedented.

Even Spider-Man himself was uncertain if he could pull this off.

First, he tried jumping down onto the tracks.

But that method failed quickly.

Spider-Man immediately thought of a second method.

He fired thick webs from both hands simultaneously, anchoring them to the surrounding buildings to slow the train down.

The idea was indeed effective, but the sudden, terrifying impact was brutal.

The sheer force immediately caused Spider-Man to bleed from his mouth, suffer severe muscle strains, dislocate his bones, and tear his suit.

But those external injuries were insignificant compared to the true fatal wounds lying within his body.

The immense burst of force was pushing his internal organs far beyond their absolute limits, threatening to collapse them at any moment.

Despite the agonizing pain, Spider-Man gritted his teeth and held on, his hands gripping the webs like solid rocks.

Countless strands of silk continued to shoot out from his mutated veins.

As the silk stretched and pulled, the train actually began to decrease in speed.

Following closely behind the runaway train was Doctor Octopus.

Clad in a grey trench coat and propelled by four massive mechanical tentacles, the villain watched with arrogant confidence.

He was absolutely certain Spider-Man could not stop the runaway train.

When it crashed and killed everyone, Doctor Octopus would be left to control the city without ever having to see that annoying Spider-Man again.

But high up on a nearby residential rooftop, completely unseen by Doctor Octopus, a golden vortex swirled open.

Peter emerged from the portal.

A loud screeching noise from below immediately caught his attention.

Looking down at the tracks, Peter saw Spider-Man using his bare hands to stop the runaway train.

It hit him instantly.

Earth-96283 represented the universe of the original Spider-Man played by Tobey Maguire.

He had arrived at the exact moment of the iconic train-pulling scene.

“It really is better to be lucky than early,” Peter smirked.

“The highlight comes right off the bat.

Luckily, I warmed up beforehand.”

Peter first pulled a few small spider-trackers from his backpack, then shot a quick web to safely secure his bag to a corner of the rooftop.

Quickly surveying his surroundings, he spotted Doctor Octopus chasing the train.

“The normal version of Doc Ock looks much better.

That female version was just too weird,” Peter muttered.

With a silent leap, he landed perfectly on Doctor Octopus’s back.

Peter placed his right hand flat against the villain’s back and shouted, “Surprise!”

Doctor Octopus belatedly whipped his head around in shock, but he was already too late.

Peter activated his electric shock ability.

Sizzle!

Sizzle!

Accompanied by wildly crackling blue arcs of electricity, the massive electrical surge instantly nullified the four mechanical tentacles.

“Spider-Man!

How can there be another Spider-Man?” Doctor Octopus yelled, his voice sharp and tinged with fear as he stared at Peter with an incredulous look.

“Is it strange?” Peter asked casually.

“There are countless Spider-Men in the multiverse, and of course, countless versions of you, Dr.

Otto.”

“Multiverse?

How could such a thing exist?

It is just the absurd talk of some mentally ill people.” Doctor Octopus spat back.

Clearly, he had not studied quantum physics in depth, so he did not accept the multiverse theory.

The situation was now extremely urgent, and Peter did not want to waste any more time arguing.

He threw a swift punch right to the doctor’s chin, instantly sending him into a deep sleep.

Of course, Peter carefully controlled the force of his punch so he did not kill the man outright.

He knew that this universe’s Doctor Octopus was not a true evil villain.

His consciousness was simply being controlled by the artificial octopus tentacles he had created.

If a suitable method could be found to suppress that mental influence, Dr.

Otto could regain his sanity and become the genius physicist who single-mindedly pursued controlled nuclear fusion technology to benefit all humanity.

Using his webs, Peter safely secured the unconscious Doctor Octopus to the brick wall.

He then turned his full attention back to the out-of-control train.

The train was nearing the end of the tracks.

Peter knew that Spider-Man could eventually stop it before it crashed, but he was not going to just sit back and watch.

Spider-Man in this universe had already endured too much.

Peter wanted to step in, share some of the burden, and ease his load a little.
