24 – This is Chu Lanyan’s Biological Older Sister
At the entrance of Class S, the teacher led Chu Ruan into the classroom.
“Everyone, pause what you’re doing and welcome our new classmate,” the teacher said, raising her voice slightly as she stepped onto the podium.
All eyes in the class turned toward them, and everyone froze when they saw Chu Ruan.
Wasn’t that Chu Ruan? How could she be the new classmate?!
Wang Liuyao, Chu Lanyan’s best friend, stared at Chu Ruan in shock before quickly snapping out of it and sending a message to Chu Lanyan.
“Lan Yan, how did your sister get to come study here?!”
As Chu Lanyan’s best friend, Wang Liuyao knew about Chu Ruan and, just like Chu Lanyan, looked down on her.
Wasn’t her sister supposed to be some country bumpkin? How could she possibly be in Class S? And… she didn’t look rustic at all…
Though they had similar faces, why did Chu Ruan somehow seem even prettier than Lan Yan?!
Wang Liuyao secretly took a few more photos and sent them to Chu Lanyan.
Chu Lanyan was currently undergoing closed training and couldn’t receive Wang Liuyao’s messages.
The teacher smiled and introduced her to the class, “This is Chu Lanyan’s older sister, Chu Ruan. Let’s all get to know her. Starting today, she’s transferred to our class and is one of us.”
“Since Chu Lanyan is on leave for these two weeks, this is a good opportunity for everyone to get acquainted with Chu Ruan so you won’t mistake them for each other later.”
Huo Lin Academy had no dress code for students. Chu Ruan wore a light blue dress that revealed her swan-like elegant neck and slender, straight calves. She stood there gracefully, like a delicate ice lotus.
Chu Ruan’s face showed no extra expression, carrying only a faint, almost imperceptible smile. She stepped onto the podium, slightly lowered her gaze, and spoke, “Hello, everyone.”
Her efforts in practicing hadn’t been in vain—she could now speak much more fluently.
The girl’s soft yet clear voice flowed like a gentle stream in autumn, pure and refreshing. It wasn’t overly sweet or affected, yet it didn’t sound weak either.
The teacher patted her shoulder and said to the class, “Chu Ruan’s health is somewhat delicate, so please be kind to her. You can sit… next to Bai Yaoyao.”
A girl sitting by the window in the middle-back row raised her hand. Chu Ruan picked up her bag and walked over.
Bai Yaoyao had a soft, cute appearance with twin tails and a dress that gave off a Lolita vibe.
Bai Yaoyao proactively gave Chu Ruan an adorable smile. “Hello.”
Since the other party was offering kindness, Chu Ruan didn’t respond coldly. The curve of her lips deepened slightly as she took her seat.
Having been reborn, she didn’t want to waste time on irrelevant people. All she wanted was to be with Fu Chenxuan properly.
Huo Lin Academy wasn’t classified as a university or high school—it had its own teaching methods. However, all enrolled students had to be adults, with an admission age range of 18 to 25.
Many students already had their own companies or assets before coming here to study.
Huo Lin Academy had direct connections to the military, political, and business sectors. Outstanding performers could enter these fields directly after graduating in three years!
This was the charm and strength of Huo Lin Academy.
But very few knew about the people behind it.
Chu Ruan didn’t care about that. Her purpose in coming was to deal with Chu Lanyan.
Huo Lin Academy had a packed schedule, with classes running from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. During school hours, regardless of whether you were the son of some tycoon or the daughter of a noble family, you had to follow the academy’s rules.Beyond study hours, the academy does not interfere with whatever you do.
Thus, by night, Huo Lin’s campus transforms into a microcosm of society—banquets, dances, parties, social engagements, various competitions and clubs, all stirring the blood of young students.
