25 – She is Much More Beautiful than Chu Lanyan

Chu Ruan had agreed to Fu Chenxuan that she wouldn’t stay in the dormitory and would return home on time every night, so she paid no mind to these matters.

Nan Qing had already prepared all her books and supplies for her. Bai Yaoyao handed Chu Ruan a copy of Huo Lin’s class schedule, to which Chu Ruan responded with a faint, grateful smile.Full novel: Spoiled! Huo Lin’s daily curriculum varied widely and covered an extensive range of subjects. In addition to standard academic knowledge from regular schools, it included everything required by high society—even military training and business war simulation exercises.

Moreover, every three months, the school would invite celebrities to give lectures and exchange insights. Many entrepreneurs took pride in being invited to speak at Huo Lin.

Whether you genuinely wanted to learn or were just there to gild your reputation, at Huo Lin, you would get everything you desired.

Under the scrutinizing gazes of everyone around her, Chu Ruan remained expressionless, focusing on her books.

“Are you really Chu Lanyan’s sister? You’re twins?” Bai Yaoyao asked curiously, sucking on a lollipop.

Chu Ruan nodded, but before she could speak, Wang Liuyao strode over with a hostile tone. “What are you doing here?”

Chu Ruan had met Wang Liuyao before.

In her past life, when Wang Liuyao visited the Chu family, she and Chu Lanyan would often mock Chu Ruan sarcastically and bully her in secret.

Chu Ruan smiled faintly. Wang Liuyao, I won’t let you off either.

Ignoring Wang Liuyao’s question, Chu Ruan lowered her long, thick eyelashes, veiling the cold gleam in her eyes.

Although the Chu family had publicly announced the recovery of their lost daughter, most families treated it as gossip and dinner-table amusement. The younger generation, however, knew little about the rumor.

“Chu Lanyan has a twin sister? I’ve never heard of that!”

“Yeah, they really look alike, but she seems a bit more pleasant than Chu Lanyan.”

Someone chuckled softly but quickly stifled it upon seeing Ji Qingyun’s expression.

Here, strength meant influence. Ji Qingyun’s family was deeply entrenched in politics with a powerful background, so everyone showed him respect.

“Hey, I’m talking to you!” Wang Liuyao snapped impatiently, shoving Chu Ruan.

Wang Liuyao was strikingly beautiful with a curvaceous figure, but her ostentatious, nouveau-riche arrogance ruined her charm.

Bai Yaoyao frowned at the scene. “Why are you pushing her? Do you two know each other?”

Of course Wang Liuyao knew her and immediately launched into a detailed account of Chu Ruan’s background. “Now you all know—she’s just a country bumpkin who doesn’t belong here!”

Only then did the others learn of Chu Ruan’s origins, and their eyes filled with unspoken judgment.

No wonder Chu Lanyan never mentioned having a sister outside—she must have been too embarrassed.

Bai Yaoyao took the lollipop out of her mouth and retorted disapprovingly, “So what? It’s not Chu Ruan’s fault that she was lost and taken away at the hospital. She’s still a member of the Chu family—why shouldn’t she come to school? Does that mean she isn’t a daughter of the Chu family anymore?”

Chu Ruan glanced sideways at Bai Yaoyao, who was standing up for her, and Bai Yaoyao gave her a reassuring smile.

Chu Ruan’s calm but clear voice resonated through the classroom. “I wasn’t lost. I was abandoned by the Chu family.”

Whenever the Chu family mentioned her outside, they claimed she had been lost as a child. But Chu Ruan had no intention of enduring this injustice any longer.

“What do you mean?” Wang Liuyao frowned.

Chu Ruan looked coldly at Wang Liuyao, then swept her gaze across the class, a mocking smile curling her lips. “When I was born, I was declared to have an unlucky birthdate. So, the Chu family threw me into a remote mountain village.”“It wasn’t until a few years ago, when my younger sister fell ill and needed a Heart Exchange match, that they remembered they still had another daughter. That’s when they brought me home.”

Chu Ruan spoke these words slowly and steadily, tearing away the Chu family’s veil of shame.
